Tried Moobongri Soondae at the H Mart food hall, a well-known Korean chain with 30+ years in Korea and many of U.S. locations (CA, Vegas, Texas, Denver, Chicago, Oakland... they're everywhere). Their specialty is soondae soup (Korean blood sausage stew). I've only tried soondae once in my life when I was living in Seoul and honestly was traumatized by the iron/bloody taste so I didn't dare order it again. I went for the spicy stir-fried squid instead. Flavor was good and pretty authentic, but definitely on the spicy side though - perfect with beer/drinks and rice. Side dishes tasted good, too. The cashier was friendly! Overall, the taste feels very Korean and true to the original chain. Worth trying if you're exploring classic Korean comfort food!

Mixed feelings....we tried sulungtang....its not bad. Based on the color of the soup and what I saw, it looked like they added milk or milk powder to help develop that rich look...perhaps! My son who had it said it was okay but he kept asking about the color being richer than other places he had before and asked why is it so white, hence this is my guess. Service wise friendly. I would go back to try another dish. This was our first time....there are many more options to try!

They are located inside Hmart's food court. We tried the beef bone soup and a side order of blood sausage. It took about 15 mins for my order. The soup was a little too spicy for me but it was still very flavorful. It came with a side of rice, kimchi and radish. $24 Blood sausage was tasty $13 Food court has many tables for dine in.

One of the food stores inside the new Hmart. I like how they kind of assigned each restaurant/food store here a different kind/category of food so none of the shops here ending up serving the same or similar items too much. We ended up trying this place because I wanted the kalbi-tang, the beef short ribs soup with veggies. Yoo's place and Moobongri both offers this but I believe Moobong is $1 cheaper and I eat Yoo's so many times at that two original locations, I wanted to try Moobong. The beef short ribs soup was packed with flavor, four pieces of meat, very little amount of veggies and since we didn't get the one with vermicelli, there were basically just really good broth and meat and rice. One of the things I really want to mention is their banchan is sooo good! Their radish and kimchi are soooo good! Such great flavor. I would def come back and get other items in the menu and also just to be able to eat their radish and kimchi again. Staff were also super nice.

#32 on the menu. Tasted fine with a great food court located inside the H Mart.

I was in the city looking to find food and decided to check out the H Mart nearby. There is a decent selection of restaurants to choose from and the food area was generally quite clean. Would come back again.

The good - Spicy Soondae Soup $18 (plus tax of course) was flavorful with the perfect level of spice. It wasn't too spicy where you can't even taste the ingredients and the broth was not gamy. Soondae was delicious along with the white rice, radish kimchi and cabbage kimchi included on the side. The young man out front was super polite and accommodating especially when I decided to change my order. Will try more from here.

From beginning to end my experience was wonderful. Staring with the lovely lady at the front counter. She was very friendly and spent her time explaining all the yummy options on the menu! Portion sizes were perfect and very filling, would highly recommend the Spicy Pork Neck Bone Soup! The broth was very tasty and flavorful, with lots of meat. It also comes with multiple sides. Overall, I would rate the service and food a 5/5! MUST TRY!! Give the lady at the front counter a raise!! She is amazing!! She is very proud of all the food she has to offer.

I'm a fan! They were so nice here and it feels like a real family run business. The bulgogi was flavorful and came on a hot plate. Presentation was great with the kimchi (delicious) and rice on the side too.

Their pork dishes are DELISHHHH (i recommend skipping the beef brisket) and I love that they cook the meat for you so you can just DIG IN. Their meat is high quality which I think justifies the price. Combo A/B will feed 2 people and C/D/E is just enough for 3-4 people! I love the lil extra goodies they include like the pineapple, mushroom, and cheese... so yum.... For the combos, I prefer the kimchi stew over the soybean stew since the soybean is a little salty for me. Make sure to order the cold noodles too - they complement the meat SO WELL.

While we waited for the grill to get going, we snacked on the banchan. The pickled dishes and spring greens were especially refreshing and did a great job balancing out all the rich flavors to come. The highlight was definitely the meat. Everything was grilled perfectly and came out incredibly juicy, tender, and flavorful. What I loved most was how many different ways there were to enjoy each bite. You can dip the pork into the garlic oil sauce, add a little wasabi, pair it with the melted grilled cheese, wrap it with myeong yi, sprinkle on some salt, or simply enjoy the quality of the meat on its own. Every combination brought out a different flavor profile, so the meal never got repetitive. The soups were comforting and packed with flavor, making them a great complement to the barbecue. Overall, this was a really satisfying KBBQ experience. The quality of the pork stood out, the variety of accompaniments made every bite interesting, and the meal felt thoughtfully put together from start to finish. The restaurant was lively!

I went in around 2PM so it was not crowded. The friendly clerk at the counter recommended the Rose Tteokbokki, as their most popular dish. I chose the combo for a few dollars more, which included tempura - 2 seaweed rolls, 2 dumplings, 2 shrimp, and a Coke. This rose sauce is sweet and hot in perfect balance Dish included sausages, an egg, veggies, as well as the excellent rice cake. Can't wait to come back and try more flavors. Enjoy!

When I received my food 45 minutes later, it was the complete wrong order. I received a rose tteokbokki with ssal tteok. I mentioned this to the kind lady behind the counter and she remade my food. However, when I got the freshly made dish, it was still the wrong order. She remade the dish with garaetteok but it was still rose, and not the grandma style. As it was approaching a whole hour since ordering, I just accepted the food, even though I tried to explain to her that what I received was the wrong order. She told me that what I got was the grandma tteokbokki, which the dish was not since it was creamy and had sausage and bacon. I would have asked for another remake, but she had posted a sign that said the restaurant closes at 1:30pm, and it was shortly after that time. I was hoping to have a good time here since the reviews are great, but this experience makes me apprehensive to give the place a try again.

I appreciate that they put the noodles separately from the soup as not to make them all mushy and absorb all the soup. Beef bulgogi 4/5 My kid really enjoyed it. Almost finished the whole meal alone. Also came with purple rice. Both dishes came with 4 banchan. This is where I was surprised by. Out of the 4 items Kimchi 2/5 Soy bean spicy 1.5/5 Mashed potato 4.5/5 Fish cake 2/5 We only enjoyed the potato. I am a huge fan of fish cake and kimchi but these 2 were not my favorite. Walking in, it's always bustling with people but the wait usually isn't long given their online yelp waitlist.
