Compare to Sun Nong Dan the JinCook soup seem like it was flavorless and wish they had more ribs in it for 23$. The braised Beef though was worth it and very fulfilling. Although bit sweeter than anticipated. That's definitely be a dish if you go with 2 people it's good portion. Never order the Galbi Tang. Other than that. Service was very good. We got the chicken vegetable bbim noodles ($18.95) and katsu combination with pork and chicken ($21.95). The banchan (radish, kimchi, and cucumbers) arrived at the same time as our main entrees. The banchan is flavorful and spicy; I especially enjoyed the cucumbers. The chicken vegetable bbim noodles came with a refreshingly cold soup broth. It was a lovely balance of spicy, sweet, and savory flavors due to the gochujang and seaweed garnish. The soup bowl was huge and came with an abundance of thin, long wheat noodles. One of the servers saw me eating the noodles and kindly showed me how to cut them with scissors. It's ideal to share the dishes since the portion sizes are so large. The pork and chicken katsu combination was delicious. With large pieces, I appreciated the shareable portion size. The seasoning of the chicken katsu breading was really tasty. I enjoyed the chicken noticeably more than the pork. Also, the sauce with its tangy and sweet flavors complemented the katsu very well. When it came to getting our bill, we had to follow up as one server forgot to bring it to us. Unfortunately, I also paid for the wrong bill on the smart terminal. I only realized this when I looked at the receipt that I had texted to myself after I had already left the restaurant. I decided to call and leave a message on social media. The server who answered my call said that I'd need to come back to the restaurant to get a partial refund. Thankfully, the manager called me the next day and explained the situation that me. We were waiting around right outside the entrance, and the worker skipped over my name and called for the next party of 2 that came 13 minutes after me (see picture). I made sure to check my phone too, and I didn't get any texts or calls from the restaurant. When I checked in, he simply said, "oh ok, you'll be next." We ordered the Garlic SuYuk ($41.95) and Beef Short Rib Soup/Galbitang ($22.95). I noticed that the waiters immediately brought out banchan to the table next to us (a Korean family), but they waited until they brought our dishes out to bring us banchan. The food was good, but nothing to write home about. I don't really understand the reviews about the portions here being huge; $42 for less than 30 pieces of thinly sliced pork belly seems criminal. The sauces that came with the pork belly were good, but they were kind of stingy with the amount given. Galbitang was fine but not the best I have had. This is our favorite Korean Food comfy spot! We even ate here for our anniversary dinner. The wait is worth it, but if you would want to dodge the timing I suggest avoiding the dinner rush. The beef is so tender and bustling with flavor! The panchan are excellent combinations with the short rib. Depending on the day, we order the Katsu Curry or Garlic SuYuk. Was here Thursday lunch and decided to bring my boyfriend there to try it and he loved it a lot that we came back the next day again on (Friday night)! We ordered: Galbi-jjim with cheese - braised short ribs were perfection, flavorful and we got the spicy version which was just the perfect amount of flavor. This dish is better than all the other ones I've tried at other places. Curry katsu plate that came with both chicken and pork- fried to perfection and I loved how it was on a stone plate so stayed hot throughout. Seafood pancake- forgot to take a photo but it was generously packed with goodies like shrimp and squid and fried well without being oily. The portion was super generous and we shared among 4 people with left overs! Service was great, wait wasn't too long on a Saturday at lunch, and I def I will drive for this again! read more

Returned recently and it still slapped as hard as it did the first time. This time around, we also got the seafood pancake. It was on the thicker side, but was delicious with all the different kinds of seafood. The food does take a bit to come out, but the flavors are worth the wait. read more

Jin Cook is WORTH IT. Just GO! I Walked in with my mother at lunch hour - BUSY but there was seating. Service was quick and polite. Love the people and atmosphere here. It's small inside, so reservations are recommended. GARLIC SUYUK! Food is just as good as I remember. We got the Garlic Suyuk. ITS A MUST TRY. Sous vide-melt in your mouth pork belly with FRESH sides - I'm getting hungry for more just thinking about it again! The dish feeds 2 comfortably I'd say, so it's definitely worth the $$$. This place is so cool! I love the ambiance here because it feels like a traditional Korean pub. Some of my friends have been here and recommended this place for late night eats. When I first entered, there was complimentary hot corn tea, which tasted like barley tea (I love). Although there are no reservations, they were able to accommodate and seat seven of us within about 20 minutes. I ordered the brisket tteokbokki without cheese or ramen (they were additional costs), and it came out quickly. The serving portions are very large, and this was enough for 2-3 meals.
