    Mandu soup
    Sylvie C.

This shop is inside of the recently opened Hmart in Westminster/HB/Bella Terra area. Order was placed in person and became available after 10 minutes or so. Cashier will give you a buzzer for order pickups. I ordered the Mandu sampler, Mandu soup w/ kimchi and pork mandu, and spicy pork w/ vegetables and rice. Normally, I dislike at least 2 out of 3 dish items only because I am so picky and fussy with texture and flavors. I attribute it partially to me knowing how to cook things at home and get very particular about how things are made and seasoned. That being said, I really relished every items I ordered. I'm glad I ordered what I did. Particularly the samplers because I got to try out every flavors of mandu they offer. My favorite was the pork, shrimp, and kimchi mandu. I also liked the smoky beef ones too. The soup had about 8 pieces of mandu and loads of rice cakes. They didn't skimp out. I personally liked the pork ones more than the kimchi ones in my soup as less would fall apart inside the soup. Wishing I had extra rice or glass noodles to add into the broth as that would have made it even better. The spicy pork with rice and vegetables were just what I was hoping for. Crunchy cabbage and savory meat with fresh rice! What more could I hope for in a bowl? Maybe some kimchi, cucumbers, and eggs or something. Still a great meal. I can't wait to have some leftovers for lunch tomorrow. The portions, taste, and value of the meal here makes it well worth the visit. I can't wait to go back again soon.

Came here for lunch at the food court in hmart for the first time and deciding on this in addition to fried chicken we also ordered. This was much better than the fried chicken. Crisp and decent fried dumpling taste.

    Yubu pockets

Was starving after doing some shipping. My boyfriend and i shared 3 yubu pockets (tofu skins with rice and a topping - in this case, salmon mayo / tuna mayo / and eel) as well as a bulgogi dish. There were tons of dumplings - my boyfriend said he'd come back another time for them. I'm impressed with the pockets - fun and convenient.

water dumpling also doesnt really fit in this sauce dip cup

Visit1 - pork dumps fried (6p) $10 vs steamed (6p) $10. Historically, i love steamed dumps at home. i buy them usually from fam friends who make them in bulk for super cheap. leave em in a freezer for a hungry day, pull out like 8 throw in a pot and viola 6-10min later its ready. Have never been a fan of pan fried dumps (like gyoza style). CHD dumps tho, while the steamed were very visually gorgeous and the thin firm skin was perrfect to my texture taste, the filling was bleh. The barely any sauce cup had like a dribbling of sauce so it barely fits enough to dip, its more like u have to pour it over the dumple but theres not really a plate or sauce dish to pour over, its really awkward to be honest. While i love food courts like mitsuwa style, hmart CHD is kinda like tray dishes but also very to go like. Pan fried dumps interestingly takes the cake here, the skin fried golden flat is the perfect crisp crunch and the inside is like filled just right, not too much space but enough to be solidly filling. Unfortunately (see pic example) the sauce cup dipping issue is twice as bad. it is undippable in these joke to go sauce cups. and theres only the stingiest amount to pour onto like 4 dumps. Visit2 - Smokey Sweet Pork pan fried $11. Flavor is amazing, it really does have a smokey like woody flavor like u smoked some short ribs kinda taste. Its bombdotcom. Crispy thin skin also spectacular. Sauce dip cup issue persisting. Doesnt seem like theyll give u a spare cup, even then just why be so stingy with sauce if the cup is so big? Why not give a wasable sauce dish that u can free pour? Cashier seems meh, nice but not suggestive of anything, just awkward stands there while u cant decide. Tables is shared hall, empty on taco tuesday apparently. Pick a table, preferably not next to me cuz theres so many open. Ambiance of those outdoor string lights above but its warehouse level lighting so i dont understand, would be nicer if they dimmed the warehouse floodlights and just let people dine under the string lights Parking is massive shared lot. Security guard at the hmart exit slash food hall entrance looked intimidating so ill just go in the hmart entrance and suspiciously walk through to the checkout stands with nothing. Like the irvine hmart is way better sensible, entrance to groceries and u can veer off to the food court. Who the heck designed this backward spankin new potential hmart?? Bathrooms at the far end past the claw collectible machines. Look next to the empty BAKED chicken stand. TLDR: its interesting, tasty, but sauce cup & stingy portion of sauce. Bring a friend and split a few.

This location is inside the Hmart food court. The food took a while to be ready but it made sense as it is a busy food court. Pick up was easy and done by a number/ticket system. We got the sampler that had the pork, shrimp, beef, kimchi, and jalapeno. I liked how we could try each flavor and the crispiness of each one. Most of the fillings were pretty good but I was impressed by the smokiness of the meat.

I spent 3.5 hours in HMart and as I was leaving I was shocked to see the food court. Wow it was so big, after touring all the food stalls and having a smoothie at Gongchai, I decided on the Korean dumplings. I checked Yelp and was surprised this was a franchise and this CHD is huge teeming w workers in the kitchen but nobody had entered this business in Yelp yet. I decided to enter it and was set to order but the guy (I took a picture of him) at the cashier was extremely rude, I had never had dumplings before so I asked for info so I could order, I asked 3,4 x no answer, was he a deaf mute? So I walked away and came back today to order. I'm glad I came back today, the girl at the cashier was very nice and helpful. This was the most delicious dumplings I had ever had, it was so flavorful, so different from the Chinese XLB or Japanese gyoza, it was fried on a pan to make it really crispy. Not knowing what to order, I decided on the sampler, it had 2 of each flavor, 6 total for $14.95. My recommendation is the smoked pork dumplings, the smoke taste was so unique, I did not like the jalapeno, it was not very hot but just off key changing the taste of the dumplings. I should have ordered the shrimp wonton soup, it sure looked good, I went to Paik soup, rated 4 stars on Yelp, it was a disaster, a total waste of money, unless you are Korean and used to this, the taste of the seafood soup was weird and so bland. So there you have it, come try this amazing dumplings store, you may ask why do I not rate this 5 stars when I was drooling over the aroma (4 stars is also very good already). I told them we are near Little Saigon, it makes no sense for such a delicious dumpling not to have any hot sauce, Siracha or even Tabasco, furthermore, it was too sweet, they should have some vinegar or lemon, I like VN restaurants, everything you need is on the table, all condiments, vinegar, hot sauces, fish sauce and soy sauce. I sat down to eat but was bent out of shape not having siracha, so we wrapped everything up and took them home to eat. If the manager/owner read this, pl have a bottle of Siracha, not expensive but it will attract Vietnamese customers and pl tell the rude dude to lighten up. 9-4-2025 I was encouraged to be the first to review this CHD dumplings, I was the one adding the business to Yelp. I was shocked they designated someone else as the 1st, YRLP THIS is not COOL.

so yummy!!! definitely my favorite place to get dumplings. the food court can get crowded so a seat can be hard to find during peak hours. the workers aren't the friendliest but the dumplings always hit. smoky sweet pork (5/5) - so so so yummy!! i tried these in the sampler and i get them every time now. they're so juicy and flavorful, definitely a must try!

I love the lil extra goodies they include like the pineapple, mushroom, and cheese... so yum.... For the combos, I prefer the kimchi stew over the soybean stew since the soybean is a little salty for me. Make sure to order the cold noodles too - they complement the meat SO WELL.

While we waited for the grill to get going, we snacked on the banchan. The pickled dishes and spring greens were especially refreshing and did a great job balancing out all the rich flavors to come. The highlight was definitely the meat. Everything was grilled perfectly and came out incredibly juicy, tender, and flavorful. What I loved most was how many different ways there were to enjoy each bite. You can dip the pork into the garlic oil sauce, add a little wasabi, pair it with the melted grilled cheese, wrap it with myeong yi, sprinkle on some salt, or simply enjoy the quality of the meat on its own. Every combination brought out a different flavor profile, so the meal never got repetitive. The soups were comforting and packed with flavor, making them a great complement to the barbecue. Overall, this was a really satisfying KBBQ experience. The quality of the pork stood out, the variety of accompaniments made every bite interesting, and the meal felt thoughtfully put together from start to finish. The restaurant was lively!

When I received my food 45 minutes later, it was the complete wrong order. I received a rose tteokbokki with ssal tteok. I mentioned this to the kind lady behind the counter and she remade my food. However, when I got the freshly made dish, it was still the wrong order. She remade the dish with garaetteok but it was still rose, and not the grandma style. As it was approaching a whole hour since ordering, I just accepted the food, even though I tried to explain to her that what I received was the wrong order. She told me that what I got was the grandma tteokbokki, which the dish was not since it was creamy and had sausage and bacon. I would have asked for another remake, but she had posted a sign that said the restaurant closes at 1:30pm, and it was shortly after that time. I was hoping to have a good time here since the reviews are great, but this experience makes me apprehensive to give the place a try again.
