I visited this location last week after hearing that they had been opened for a few weeks. I was warmly greeted when I walked in. I ordered a mocha, I was asked my name and told it would just be a short wait. I checked out the pastries while waiting and said they looked a little light. They cheerfully said that the selection will be much better next week (I think they are still in their soft opening period). Walking around, I saw lots of college students and they had a good flow of customers. I started checking out the nice variety of coffee beans available. While doing so, a friendly voice called out to me and said "I'm not just the picture hanger here (yes, he was hanging a picture), I can help you with any questions you have. We proceeded to have a nice conversation about coffee and beans, and their presence at the OC Fair, etc. Dave was very knowledgeable and helped me pick out a nice bag of beans with a medium roast and some chocolate undertones. I so enjoyed my visit - I felt like I was at the Cheers Bar where they would come to know my name if I come in regularly. I think I will! PS - the mocha was delicious! read more

The smoked salmon bagel was a solid choice, too. The vibes here seemed to be a combination of students studying, people working remotely, and friends catching up. Depending on the time you go, there may or may not be a long line, but parking is never an issue. If you plan to snag a table inside, I would recommend coming early. if you have one takeaway from my review, get the strawberry matcha latte. it gets a 10/10 from me, and that isn't something i give out often. this is the second moongoat spot i have been to in orange county, and the ambiance is always so consistently beautiful. this one has tons of seating, so i would say it makes for a good study spot! it has tons of parking too. the service is amazing as well. i love to have my drink at the cafe, so i always ask for a glass or mug instead of the classic plastic cup, and they were nice enough to put my matcha into a glass and still make it look pretty. they also make it pretty fast! overall, i love this place and would definitely come back again. read more

I love the lattes here! I got the iced vanilla latte and the ice were little pieces which I enjoyed (honestly, the type of ice really elevates the coffee). It was a bit on the sweeter side but not overwhelmingly sweet. I liked that they gave the latte in a glass cup when staying at the coffee shop. It's a pretty lively place but still great to study at, and they have an outdoor section where dogs are allowed. Only drawback is that on the weekends, they don't have wifi, but as long as you have a hotspot you're fine. read more
