She was careful and diligent. She has 6 years of hair cutting experience and is knowledgeable of Korean hair trends and contemporary hairstyles. She offers men and women haircuts and a variety of perms. The studio is #20 and she texted me directions on how to locate the salon and where to park which I appreciated. I asked Audrey how she came up with the name for her hair studio and she said she drew inspiration from the rodem tree from the Bible and she aims to help her clients feel refreshed from their difficult lives. I wanted to love her work, but it just didn't work out. I came to her salon with previously bleached hair from a different salon and overgrown roots. I wanted to color my hair to a natural brunette color so I wouldn't need to bleach my roots anymore. Audrey was kind and sweet. She tried to explain the process of blending in my roots and coloring my hair, but it didn't make sense to me. She mentioned something about three different colors in my hair (bleached hair, overgrown roots, and newly grown virgin hair right out of the scalp). She and I proceeded to talk about what I was looking for and concluded that I would get a dark ash color. I had high hopes that the hair color would blend my hair all together into one color. In the salon, the finished look appeared perfect, but when I went home and looked at my hair in better lighting/close up .. it was NOT GOOD.. My roots were still showing (just a little less) and you could see the difference in color between the roots and rest of my hair. In a week my hair was back to being blonde-ish with streaks of the color she put in... I was so disappointed..I was thinking of asking for a refund... I am writing this review as I wait for my daughter, who is getting her hair cut for the second time by Audrey. I did not get the chance to write a review the first time but wanted to make sure I didn't forget this time! The first time I brought my daughter, she had in her mind that she wanted a wolf cut. As a 15 year old, she wasn't about to listen to her mom when it comes to anything style related so I'm glad Audrey was honest and professional with her. She explained that she didn't have the right hair type for a wolf cut and recommended something similar but that would work with her hair instead of against. My daughter listened carefully and appreciated her explanation and reasoning. She ended up with a gorgeous haircut that looked great for the first day of school. Now we are back and my daughter has decided to go for a full chop! From almost waist length to just above her shoulders. Audrey again looked closely at the pictures she brought and talked her through her thought process. Because of her first experience here, my daughter was confident that if Audrey approved, she would look great. You know when someone can make a teenager smile, they are a miracle worker! The overall vibe of the space is also calm and soothing, a nice escape from the busy day to day. Only down side is that Audrey is almost always fully booked.
