We waited about thirty minutes just to put in our order while we watched the wait staff talk with each other and fool around. Such an adorable affordable little diner! Came here with my coworker for breakfast before a meeting and absolutely loved it. The pancakes were perfectly fluffy, the corned beef hash was fresh and yummy, and my coworker got the breakfast burrito which was HUGE and delicious. Food was great per my group but service was slow for takeout. Waiting for someone to check us out and Kay was too long. Then the waitress build the wrong cards, she switch them around. Thank goodness the parties were able to just use Venmo to fix her mistake. You could tell they were busy and scrabbling. The people waiting for a table wasn't happy about the wait and not being greeted. My group ordered the meatloaf and steak dinners. From what they told me everything was delicious. Moonlight Diner is a gem. I stayed at a nearby hotel and needed a easy to reach dinner restaurant. The neon and stainless steel was so classic it drew me in, but the brisket blew me away. I opted for the house Mac and cheese with slaw, and the brisket's tenderness, the Mac's richness and zing of the slaw were fantastic. Friendly service, with just the right attention. The food came surprisingly fast. I had the kitchen sink because I could decide between the choices ... just give me everything! Well, it was great. The bar room was way too loud for me, so we got a table in the main area. Still noisy, but it's a lively place. Lots of families and locals, it looks like. That's a good sign to me. Ate here recently because there wasn't much open in the area at 9:30pm. The service was alright and the menu was quite limited for a diner. The food was okay at best: -country potatoes: Essentially fried potato cubes. I had asked the waitress if they had homefries or something else to substitute the fries with. She mentioned their homemade fries and I said no when she clarified that they are still fried. I then saw the country potatoes and asked for those; wish she would have told me that these are also fried after seeing my concern for not wanting fried potatoes. -Chicken sandwich: okay. Just one piece of chicken which is less than most diners. I asked for cheddar cheese on my sandwich. When I first got the plate, it was American unmelted cheese; I told the waitress who remarked that some of the kitchen staff don't "speak good English" so maybe that's why. I found the comment unnecessary and sounded like a micro aggression against immigrants as she could have simply said "sorry there must have been a misunderstanding in the kitchen". She took the plate and brought it back with cheddar cheese which was also unmelted (compared to all diners I have been to which melt the cheese). -Philly cheesesteak: flavor was good but is about 2 inches shorter than a usual sub on which most cheesesteaks are served. Needless to say, amounts of above two sandwiches were scant and not the typical diner size (as we have been to our fair share of diners) Would not recommend or return unless there are no other options open. read more

Hot chocolate tasted like Swiss Miss made with water, everything was seriously missing seasoning, the salt and pepper at the table barely helped. Service was very slow, and we were charged for things we never received. The staff was friendly enough and I understand they were busy but I would not return for breakfast again. However, my bill should have been $30 (tip included) yet when I checked my bank statement this morning it seems the waitress added an extra $3 onto the bill. I tipped more than 20% originally so I don't know why they felt the need to do that. I know it's only $3 but it's the principle. My advice is to pay in cash! read more

This diner seemed so cute from the outside! We came in after attending an event, and the place was packed. They had a lot of traditional diner food, but also some interesting versions of them. I ended up getting the artichoke omelet which was pretty addicting upon the first bite and it was all gobbled up real fast despite sitting outside and getting eyeballed by several hornets. I wouldn't mind coming back in the future to try the other stuff. I'd consider sitting inside though. read more

I seldom bother to leave bad reviews anymore because it doesn't really matter. Whether or not I like the food is irrelevant (I did not. See the pic). But the issue is that this place is dirty and a health hazard. In 5 minutes, my 3 year old scraped off two pieces of old gum from underneath the table, which she tried to eat. Then I go to the bathroom, and the walls are covered in poop. And we say near the bathroom, so there's no reason it was so gross. I saw 2 employees go in there. Really?!! No one bothers to clean the poop off the walls? Now let's get to the roast beef....wtf is this? I'm not sure what it is. But it's rubbery and resembles road kill. A classic American diner about 10 minutes from the Denver airport. They've got a lot of vintage art and old magazines/newspaper clippings on the wall which was pretty cool! The menu is very standard for a typical diner, and everyone was satisfied with what they got. I got the Moonlight Signature Burger - the crispy onion straws added a nice crunch, the bacon was crispy, and the ranch was tangy but not overpowering. It was a great, classic burger that did the job! Overall, nothing that particularly stands out, but it's a great option close to DIA and will fix your diner craving. read more

They grill the biscuit halves and top with sausage patty then cover with cream gravy. This is a good old school type of diner. They have ton's of breakfast options just like you'd expect from this type of place and I got the Meat Eaters Skillet which was really good.
