Stopped here after landing at DIA at 7am. Large but tasteless portions. We ordered an omelet and pancakes. Nothing special and slow service. I regret not getting breakfast at the airport. Looks like there are a few good options: Chef Jimmy's Bistro & Spirits, Woody Creek and Root Down. read more

Not sure about dinner but for breakfast the food is great. Had the 8 oz chicken fried steak and eggs with hash browns and toast and it was tasty for sure. The waitress was very sweet. She was busting her butt to get everyone taken care of and apologized when she thought it took too long (which it didn't ). Coffee never empty. Thanks Rita. Will be back ever time I'm in Aurora which is a few times a year or more. read more

The food and service here were fantastic! The smell of BBQ as we walked up made our mouth water. We had breakfast and bloody Mary's the 1st time we were here and the 2nd time had a great dinner. The wife loved the meatloaf and I had the Pork chops which were some of the best I have ever had at any restaurant, much less a diner! Great food and times Moonlight! read more

Multiple guests in our party received the wrong order or portions of their order incorrect. When we asked the waitress to correct it, it was visible that the wrong portions of the order were scooped off the plate and replaced as parts of the original incorrect part of the order were still visible. The chicken tenders ordered by one guest were full of bad cuts that were tough to pull apart and the parts that were edible were overly fried and mainly batter. Was excited to try this diner, but it is overpriced and would not go back. read more

I'm a sucker for a good diner. So when I found one just down the road from the school I work at, I was delighted. We went here as a science department the other day and all enjoyed our first time there. The food choices are vast for a diner. They go beyond the simple burger, hot dog, and fries and offer a variety of hot sandwiches in addition to some Mexican fair and breakfast anytime. I ordered the grilled cheese and was able to order avocado to come on it for very little extra. The toast was well buttered and the sandwich was quite good. I ordered it with a side of onion rings - which were HUGE, but it only came with three. I kind of felt like I got the shaft on some delicious onion rings. A colleague ordered a chocolate milkshake, and when he let the rest of us have a taste, we all ordered an extra one for the table. It was delicious! The service was friendly and prompt. I'll definitely be back when I want a break from the normal chain food establishments that are so common in the GVR area. read more

First....GREAT FOOD! The menu is unique, diner style for sure, pancakes are the best I've ever tasted, light fluffy and perfect! They serve food all day, catering to the hotel community and this place is on the way to DIA. One of my favorite breakfast dishes is the corn muffin pancakes, smothered with yummy green chili, two eggs and hash browns....so unique and yummy! The omelets are amazing too! Don't pass by....give this place a try! Now for why I am giving 4 stars and not 5....customer service and rude wait staff! Takes some time to get coffee and water to the table and there are a couple of waitresses that need to be fired... For example the waitress was in the middle of taking my order, but was having an argument with another waitress, to continue the fight in mid order, she left our table and continued the fight in the kitchen (everyone could hear), it took quite awhile to get our order taken after that, I almost left, but I was hungry and figured I would YELP the concern. read more

What a great "find" in Denver! This place was near our hotel. Upon walking in, I was taken back to the fifties will all the retro style decor and memorabilia. It was clean, organized and had a pleasant atmosphere. We were greeted and seated promptly. I ordered their Meatloaf dish, (real) mashed potatoes and veggie medley. It came with a side spring mix salad. Their ranch dressing is homemade and wonderful! !!! My husband ordered chicken parmesan sandwich , with beer battered onion rings. He said it was scrumptious! I sampled the onion rings myself. Oh so GOOD they were. Our waitress was great! My place for future meals when back in Denver for certain!!!! read more

We come here at least every other weekend for breakfast. It's become a tradition in our house. The great: - the breakfast portions are huge. - the meals are always consistent; never had a bad choice. - the time from order to table is fast - on the way to the airport for those that need a nice meal - the wait staff Patriciest, Earl, Jordan, Paul and Jen seem to be extremely attentive and always check up on us. - they have a full bar and happy hours The good: - even when it's busy, I've never had a long wait - coffee is tasty - atmosphere is cliché but cute. They just redid all the booths and chairs. The 'would improve': - the temperatures in the dining area can vary a bit. - the bathrooms, while never 'dirty', are really showing some age. This place is decently located, I think they try to catch travelers on their way to and from the airport. The food here was average, the staff were friendly. I watched them clean a table with a dirty rag from a bucket full of brown water, uh, I think it's time to change the water. There were a lot of flies, it wasn't too clean, the utensils were still dirty, and the place smelled like old water. We probably won't come back here, it wasn't that great and besides, there's a Wendy's up the street, if that says anything. read more

I travel a lot. And today my co workers and I found ourselves at the Moonlight Diner in Denver. What a great spot. I had one of the best chicken fried steak breakfasts I've ever had. Portions were huge and price was awesome. I give this place 3 thumbs up and suggest that anyone in the airport side of Denver tried it out. Also worth a drive. read more

I honestly was going to eat at another place, but I'm staying at the Ramada next door, parking is a premium, so I didn't want to lose my spot. I'm pleasantly surprised and glad I stopped by. Not that there was anything bad about the Moonlight Diner, I just wasn't in a diner mood. The wait staff is hit and miss. The person who seated me could use a drink, but my waiter was pretty good. The food though, the food was amazing. Granted I only had the Moologht Press, but it was the best damn sandwich I've ever had. That's not an exaggeration. It was absolutely delicious. The fries were great as well. I Asked for extra sauce and it was bliss. Topped off with a Buffalo Chocolate Porter, I was definitely happy I was afraid to lose my parking spot. read more

My companion ordered the BIG Breakfast Burrito, and it lived up to its name, packed with flavor and big enough to satisfy the hungriest diner. The Diner is conveniently situated among several hotels, making it an ideal spot for travelers. Its classic diner appearance creates a pleasant atmosphere. Highly recommend eating here if you are in the area. The food is good and the portions are huge! I had chicken fried steak and they gave me two patties! Also came with potatoes, gravy, vegetables, soup and a biscuit. My partner had a steak burrito and he couldn't even finish it, but did say it was delicious. I found the bar, which is separate from the diner. Same menu, no kids. They had 12 drafts, which included many local breweries. The bartender, and I think owner, was very knowledgeable about all the beers and the menu. I went with the Reuben with homemade potato chips that were freshly made. Very friendly and fun staff. Just a classic diner atmosphere with a unique twist on terrific diner food. Very hearty plates and pancakes with friendly service. Plates are very filling and comparably priced to other diners with less tasty food. Loving the heat and spices that were put in my skillet that gave it so much flavor. This is easy. If you are stuck at the Denver airport on business or pleasure go here to eat (full bar, too). It's excellent! At happy hour, I had a huge plate of a half order of nachos (with meat) for $3.50!! And it was great. Everything else looked real good and it was filled with locals. read more

When it comes to diners I'm pretty picky, this place was super dirty, dead flies all over and swatting flies was most of my breakfast, food was OK, bacon burnt and priced a little high. The staff was not that friendly and they didn't bring my drinks? I won't be back unfortunately. read more

My dad ordered the roasted chicken and said it was incredibly moist and flavorful. My mom's bison burger was juicy, tender, and cooked perfectly. The double fried French fries absolutely stole the show though. Somehow they were extra crispy without being overdone. For dessert we shared the skillet cookie, and it was the perfect sweet, indulgent ending to the meal. After a full day of traveling, this was exactly what we needed. And one of the glasses we got for our drinks was dirty so we were just sharing one cup :) After some time I saw the manager who was cleaning up a table and seemed to wish he could avoid coming over and let him know what happened, he said "he'll take care of it". Then disappeared never to be seen again. So we waited and finally flagged down another person to take the payment so we could head out, we also let her know our experience was shocking to which she was defensive instead of interested. We finally left after an hour of this and went to a local fav and had a wonderful rest of our day-- they even wiped the table without us asking when we got there! We're super chill and I used to work in the restaurant business, so we tend to extend a lot of grace, but the service here was truly unacceptable and jarring. Overall, my friend said she didn't want to return which is quite sad for what was supposed to be her birthday brunch. I wish we had a better experience so she could've had a great day but really she just wanted to leave asap.
