California Benni was fresh and perfectly balanced ( avocado was perfectly ripe) the Monte Cristo was warm and done just right (my husbands fave) and the kids' pancakes were a hit. I also loved the iced pistachio latte, which was unique without being too sweet. The only downside was having to pay for parking, which was a bit of a bummer. My friend and I stopped by on a Saturday morning for the first time since they relocated. For a popular spot, there will of course be a wait, in which we stood around for 30 minutes. Nevertheless, they sat us in a cozy corner of the restaurant with a decent view of the city streets. It's a modern upgrade from the old spot but the decor seems the same! For food, we got omelettes and they were sure good, especially with a side of crispy hash browns, salty bacon, and a buttered toast. This is a good breakfast place. But, me and my wife felt like the portions were too big. Everyone I saw had a take out box. For two people, we ended up paying $60+ which is too much for diner breakfast. I would rather pay $40 for a portion size that's enough for us to finish. The quality was okay. Our hash browns were burnt outside and a bit too raw inside. The chorizo egg omelette did not have the Mexican chorizo. It was flavorless sausage. The service was good. I wish the tables did not wobble. But the ambiance was okay. Just noisy and crowded. My main issue was the price and the quality. Too much food and too expensive for breakfast. It's sad that people are okay with overspending these days and don't have the ability to determine the value of things. read more

Wow what a busy breakfast place! The wait was over 30 minutes at 9 AM so we got coffee and beignets to go $25 later the beignets lackluster with no powdered sugar or anything sweet on top! Started with beignets which were amazing. Warm soft fluffy with excellent compote dipping sauce. Tried the Moonbabies, more crepe than pancake but very tasty, and the Bennies were great. I had the Boise Benedict, with bacon spinach and mushroom. Eggs cooked perfectly, hollandaise sauce was also excellent. Hash browns were also on point. Crispy and browned just how they should be. Arrived on Sunday around 8:30am and was able to get a table for 2 easily. Came here based on the reviews of the gluten free pancakes. They did not disappoint. They were really yummy. Probably the best I've ever had. Hubby got the chicken fried steak which was yummy too. I gave them 4 stars because of the service. It was our server's 2nd day and she added "strawberry" to my pancake order without asking me if I wanted it (and there was an up charge for it) and didn't give my hubby a choice of bread (and chose for him) with his chicken fried steak. She also didn't check on us and hubby had to get up to ask someone else for more syrup. Despite these service things I highly recommend them for their food.
