Visited twice this weekend and enjoyed everything I ordered. I tried the 3 meat platter which was on special for labor day weekend at a 2 for 1 deal. Loved the pulled pork! The day we left I ordered a waffle and it was just what I wanted! The biscuits and gravy and bacon were also delicious. The staff was very friendly and the prices were cheap. I love the salad bar. That's usually my go to along with their club sandwich. They have the best moonshiner seasoning for fries. The food is good, service is usually good and their prices are reasonable. I definitely recommend. read more

My wife loves this place! My only issue with it is that you have to walk through a Smokey casino to get to the restaurant. Beyond that the food is ALL really great and the service is outstanding. They have different specials each day of the week and the pricing really is great. read more

Waited 25 minutes to get seated and they didn't even put our name on list. I had to have my husband ask what was taking so long. Didn't get waited on for 15 minutes, food took 35 minutes for breakfast and my steak was well done. Worst service from start to finish. We had dinner here tonight and it hit the spot! Despite some technical issues in the kitchen - our waitress & the other awesome waitresses were on top of our beverages as we waited. The staff were friendly and efficient, the coffee good. The amount of food is sufficient for the price. My husband and I each had breakfast consisting of eggs, sausage, pancakes & french toast. My husband eats anything and usually likes it however, his comment was how can you screw up french toast. The sausage is the cheapest frozen stuff that you get at the grocery store, the french toast and pancakes tasted like the frozen stuff from the grocery store. Granted this restaurant is inside a casino, but the stench of cigarette smoke inside the restaurant is overwhelming. I came close to puking on the way out due to cigarette smoke mixed with bad food. This was our second visit, the first was dinner and not as bad. If you are looking for homemade food, this is not the place for you. However, if you like canned vegetables, frozen pancakes & french toast and the cheapest cuts of meat that you can possible get, then it is a good deal for the price. Not what we were expecting from reading the reviews. Turns out this is a Smokey casino. Food is ok catfish was bunk. Brisket really was not much better. Worst part was the FF. Just avoid this place and go to QU BBQ just up the road by Walmart. That place was impressive. If you want bottom grade eats head here. You won't be disappointed. The sweet tea is good. If you are in Pahrump NV this is the place to eat and get a great deal. We had a party of 10 and had quick seating. The waitresses were amazing and got our food out to us fast. They have specials so make sure you look before you go because they are great prices. We had the prime rib special but one get one for free. Posting for my boyfriend: Today I had a Turkey Club for lunch which was good. I'm staying in an RV park just outside of town so I decided to take advantage of their Tuesday special, Baby Back Ribs for $12.99 and got two orders of the baby back ribs to go. The waitress brought my food, I looked at my bill and saw the bill was $52. Confused I asked the waitress and she had mistakenly ordered the Saint Louis Rib Dinner for $18.99 each. The waitress didn't know what to do so she sent the manager over. The manager, a short heavyset woman with blonde hair, very rudely said, "you got what you ordered". Actually I didn't get what I ordered. I ordered the Baby Back Rib Special. Well it turns out this special doesn't doesn't kick in until 4 pm to 9 pm. So why didn't the waitress tell me this and I would have played a machine and come back or skipped it all together. Why didn't the manager provide good customer service instead of basically telling me to get over it and force me to pay $12 extra plus tax for something I didn't order or even want. BEWARE OF POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE WHEN YOU EAT HERE IF THERE'S AN ISSUE. I wish this could of been a good review and I thought this was a better place. read more

So my husband and I just moved here from Texas a few weeks ago. The first time we came here we tried their bbq and a few appetizers. Let's be nice and say first impression was NOT good. Now my hubby wanted to give them another shot. So we came back last night on Wednesday and they had a top sirloin special. I was skeptical especially for $10.99! We had onion rings as an appetizer and they were good! Then came the entree. The baked potato was fine. The asparagus was good and flavorful. The steak was a decent thickness, cooked perfectly, and only needed a little salt. The service was also good. I was happily surprised with our good dinner! The food was really damn good (only reason it gets 3 stars). The service sucks. The hostess did not know anything and was not helpful at all at placing our take out. She never checked our bags. We had no ketchup for either plate of fries. One sandwich was missing its coleslaw and bbq sauce. We had no sides of bbq sauce. That being said the brisket sandwich was GREAT. The pulled pork sandwich was also very good. It would have been Great if the hostess would have made sure our food was correct. Unfortunately co-workers went the night after and confirmed the next morning how bad the service was too. My advise. Get take out BUT check your order before leaving! read more

My brother and I decided to stop in last night because we were in the mood for Chicken Fried Steak and had heard that they were as big as the plate at Moonshiners. We were seated almost immediately and our drink order was taken as we were seated. Service here is excellent! My brother and I both ordered the Chicken Fried Steak with the gravy on the side and I had mashed potatoes and green beans for sides while my brother had mashed potatoes and something else. Our food came out in about 10 minutes and it all looked wonderful. The reviews were indeed true as the Chicken Fried Steak was indeed as big as the platter it was served on. However the cube steak had not been tenderized enough or the cut of beef they use is just really grizzled because we chewed and chewed and were just left with a mouthful of grizzle that we could not swallow. After 2 more attempts to eat the Chicken Fried Steak we simply gave up and my brother asked the waitress if she could take it back and could he choose something else to order. She was more than accommodating and apologized repeatedly for the steak not being tender. My brother then ordered the fish and chips which the waitress put a rush on because the order was out in like 3-4 minutes. The fish and chips were really good as the fries are seasoned and the fish has a crunchy panko coating. Aside from the Chicken Fried Steak not being tender everything else was great. I will be going back as I am interested in trying some other items on the menu. One last note, the prices are more than affordable and they have 2 for 1 specials every day of the week. read more

This was my fourth or fifth visit to moonshiners. I never have high hopes for food in casino restaurants, but Moonshiners really exceeded my expectations. I'm a huge fan of Texas-style BBQ , and Moonshiners clearly knows their BBQ. I've tried the pork ribs and the brisket. Both have a great, smoky flavor and are very tender. Amazingly, since I came late in the day, the brisket was super moist and tasted very fresh. I prefer a dry rub, but the BBQ sauce was quite good. The best side was the baked beans. They are loaded with chunks of smoked meat, and feature several varieties of beans. The BBQ burger was also excellent. The service was friendly, but we could have used a bit more attention during all of our visits. Not a dealbreaker though. I will be back! read more

We stopped into this restaurant after visiting Death Valley National Park. Very disappointing! Order the Brisket, Mac and Cheese and a side salad. Side salad was a salad bar; lettuce was brown and wilted--gross. Brisket came out with too much seasoning and completely covered in fat. Came here during Brisket night, 2 for 1 for $9.99. Well, the brisket was pretty good and I got two sides of fries. You can't go wrong with that. My husband got a side of fries and green beans, he wished he just got the fries too. They have a small salad bar with the normal fixings, I had that. Very tasty when you want something green. Bathrooms are part of the casino, so they don't count in the review. Considering this is in a casino, it is not smoky. The decor looks like the spent some money, and a small plane with copper pipes around and a gorgeous ceiling round out the view. read more

We heard so much about this restaurant we decided to give it a try. We went for a buy one get one rib special they had. If this was not buy one get one it would not have been worth the money, You did not get many ribs. They were ok. BBQ sauce was pretty good. They also have shrimp cocktails pretty cheap. They are tiny shrimp but like the old vegas style you got on top of lettuce with the sauce. They were not too bad. Over all service was ok. We would not go for regular prices they seemed pretty high. We may go back another time but it wasn't a favorite spot. read more

Best casino restaurant in Pahrump! Great food! BBQ, sandwiches, and superior daily specials. Sometimes lines to get in on Pork Chops and Prime-rib nights because the food is that good and it's one of the biggest restaurants in Pahrump. Try it you will like it! read more

This place is a ripoff, if you know about BBQ you'll surely be disappointed, unless you follow this great advice: don't go there. Don't get me wrong the food is edible, but the meat is not cooked/smoked properly, and the sides are so bad... for example they forgot to put cheese in the mac & cheese, it probably comes from a survival food bucket. read more
