Checked out the Moore Coffee Shop on a weekday morning and we were pleasantly surprised. We ordered a Nutella waffle, strawberry shortcake waffle, Nutella latte, Mexican mocha, and a hot chocolate and all were really, really good. The baristas do awesome coffee art, if you're in to that sort of thing, and it doesn't take away from the coffee, because it was as equally good as the art was. The Nutella latte had a hazelnut flavor to it, but it was a little richer than if you just used the a hazelnut flavoring. The Mexican mocha was rich and had a nice spice to it. Really good. The hot chocolate was rich, sweet and was a favorite of the little one. I didn't know what to expect, in terms of the waffles, I honestly didn't expect much quality at a coffee shop, but these were arguably the best waffles I've ever had. The waffles themselves were really thing, light and airy, but also had a really nice bite and crunch to it. I could honestly enjoy these waffles with just a little butter and call it good. The strawberries were fresh and plentiful and the whipped cream was a nice complement. The Nutella, which isn't my favorite, was Nutella. It overpowered everyone, as Nutella does, but the strawberries did its best to cut through the richness of the Nutella. It wasn't bad, just not something I could eat an entire waffle of and not feel lethargic after. The only downside to the lightness of the waffles is that you need to eat it quickly or the waffles will get soggy... oh darn. It's a really great excuse to sneak dessert into breakfast. read more

I neglected to review them on my first trip. I had a really good experience. Ambiance is gaudy eclectic which works. Spanish themes here and there including the menu items. Ordering is a little confusing and when I did not get it the first time i got a touch of snip from the counter attendant. I don' hear well and the music and covid glass don't help. Coffee was excellent, avocado toast was too but i would suggest that the boiled egg on top should be warm. Seating is quite limited so plan for that. We had read about this coffee shop in Seattle Magazine and reading about the latte art made us want to visit. We were at lunch in the neighborhood so decided to pop in. It was a bit smaller than I thought but I ordered a Madrid latte while my husband had a combination of a espresso macchiato and a latte. The Madrid latte with its sweetened condensed milk was so smooth while my husband enjoyed his drink as well. Although they mentioned they don't take requests for art since we were hoping to get an elephant, I sweetly noticed an elephant in my cup and a cute cat in his. Moore's Coffee Shop is a small family owned & operated coffee shop established in 2010. They had the desire to make the best coffee Seattle has to offer. As of 2014, they made the top 10 list as one of the best coffee shops in Seattle in the Food Network magazine. The interior of the coffee shop is very cute. The place sets off a cool and relaxed vibe. I ordered a Cappuccino and my sister ordered a Nutella Mocha. They both arrived in a short time, with one right after the other. I realized the Cappuccino was a bit bitter for me. But hello it's cappuccino, I don't know why I just didn't order a mocha instead. I tried my sister's Nutella Mocha and whoa it was wonderfully executed. Rich mocha flavor infused with nutella. It wasn't vigorously sweet which was good. Both drinks were served piping hot. They also give a piece of chocolate along with the coffee. The foam art for both coffee drinks was really cute! The foam art for the nutella mocha was of a butterfly and the coffee art for the cappuccino of a lion's face. I was glad that the coffee managed to stay hot for quite a while as I'm a slow coffee drinker. I also have to add that the coffee here was remarkably strong as I felt jittery for quite a while. This is another one of those cases where the people working look like they're always angry but it's really just how they look. I mean the barista did greet us but she didn't seem that friendly. She rarely smiled, like the pursed lips kind of smile. Still, she made some amazing coffee and the coffee art was pretty cool. At least when we left she thanked us and told us to have a nice day. Might I also mention that there is a raised step from the counter area to the main dining area. Watch your step so you don't fall face down with your coffee. I'll definitely make another visit here for more coffee when I make another trip to Seattle! Hopefully they'll have more smiling faces! read more

This coffee shop is conveniently located pretty close to Pike Place Market. When you walk in, you order at the counter and if you would like to sit, you can sit down in the little room next door. The tables here are super small! I really wasn't a fan of the service here. They took forever to take people's orders and let random people cut into the line, so it took a long time for me to order even though I was the 3rd person in line. I asked for a nutella mocha and a green tea latte for here and they messed up and put my mocha in a to-go cup - I did not appreciate this so he re-made another nutella mocha for me (but not until after he took his precious time making other people's drinks before me). He was not apologetic at all about messing up my order. In the end, after getting the drinks, the latte art was pretty cute. The nutella mocha however tasted nothing like nutella and very much like a regular mocha. The green tea latte also had way too much sugar for a latte. Belltown's Moore Coffee Shop has slowly become one of my coffee staples in the area. Neighboring the famous Moore Theater, you can find the shop on Second between Stewart and Virginia, filled with lovely little accents and decor. Whether I'm catching up with a friend or squeezing in some extra work, my experiences at Moore Coffee have been great each and every time. I love going for the window seating - that way, I can get work done and people watch at the same time. :) Moore Coffee has a fun variety of coffee drinks as well, from typical lattes and americanos to Mexican Mochas and Caffe Madrids. Out of all the drinks I've tried so far, I would say the Caffe Madrid is my favorite. I prefer to visit Moore Coffee to meet with people rather than to work, because the one time I did try working here, I had trouble connecting to the WiFi. :( Seating is also a bit limited, but the crowd seems to come in waves - I came around 7:30AM once and barely managed to grab a spot, but then the shop cleared out a little bit after. They also have some outdoor seating, which I think will be great once the weather gets warmer and the sunshine is more consistent. :) And of course, you can't forget about the infamous latte art! My first 5 star coffeeshop review goes to Moore. Moores coffee ruined all other lattes for me. Nothing will ever compare to the taste or the art! The atmosphere and interior was also perfect. I really liked the clean and vintage feel of the coffeeshop. I'm more of a black coffee drinker but since Moore coffee shop is famous for their amazing latte art, I had to try it! Thank goodness I did, because I fell in love with lattes. But sadly, all the lattes back at home in Dallas will never compare to Moore coffee :( Hands down the best and cutest latte EVER! I love this coffee shop! It's so cute and the walls are really cool! I like how there's a separate seating area. They also sell sandwiches in that room (which I still have yet to try). Holy macro Macrina mocha mania man, they've changed it up in this place - and the review count seems to have exploded since my last visits (and 5 star average, whoa!). I don't know many, if any, that have 100+ reviews with 5-star averages. "Great scott!" Perhaps the main thing since my last visits has been the space acqusition next door (and they still feel like a small charming spot) - they knocked out an opening 2 steps lower and now there's even more awesome space (I believe it's also level with the hotel lobby so perhaps more handicap-friendly in this newer area). From their beginning, I knew they had established their own awesomely unique interior design / theme (rustic European vintage, perhaps?). More space means more of this cool stuff! =) I love their pictures, decor pieces (like the light filament bulbs hanging from a pulley), the wood finishes.. they also added sidewalk seating. This time 'round, I got me my dirty chai - unique & very nice (don't forget to suck the bag of remnants, minor napkin needs). The cinnamon heart art was neat! I also had the ham sandwich just for kicks, even though I'm not really a fan of their rather tough bread. The staff is natural: always wonderful and nice with personality. If it's quiet and slow, stop on by and take a seat either at the front cozy chairs, the window bar stools, table seats or outdoor seating. If the window bar area is rather warm/cold, as well, you can slide the middle window opening (ladies with skirts: very small chance with these seats but the leg space below the wood counter is exposed to the windows. If your dream is well crafted coffee which is both visually stimulating and tasty in a homie boutique environment then you have just died and gone to heaven at Moore Coffee. Behind a tiny coffee counter (no more than 5 feet by 15 feet), 5+ individuals (apparently you can't have a space bubble to be employed here) work beautifully together to craft your order. To aid in the visually sensory experience, there is a small screen to the left of the pick up area which shows a horizontal view of the espresso machine giving you a chance to watch your drink being hand crafted while you wait. The menu covers everything from espresso, tea, and even Italian sodas, ranging in price from 2-5 dollars. An assortment of bakery goods can also be purchased along side your beverage plus you can order from a menu of sweet or savory waffles (6-8 dollars each). I ordered a Nutella Mocha and the Monte Cristo savory waffle. Although the waffle left a little more to be desired, the Nutella Mocha was not only beautifully presented with a detailed owl on top but also delicious. The waffle was good, but nothing extraordinary. Just a waffle with some ham, turkey, and cheese on top served along side some jam (which tasted like it was out of a jar) and syrup. The best part of the waffle was its presentation on with plate with some art of a "bear" make with chocolate and red jelly. Don't get me wrong, hot fresh waffles are wonderful and I have had far worse waffles other places, but paired next to the wonderful coffee..the waffle took a side seat. I would still come here with friends for coffee/brunch and try a different waffle but the coffee would be the driving factor. The the atmosphere is a boutique French feel with colorful antiques and framed "latte art" on the walls. Attached to the coffee counter is a small room with soft seating for around 18 people. Within this room is also where the waffles are made giving you a chance to watch first hand how they are crafted--or how the plate art is also made! I would call this place a 'must try' for anyone visiting Seattle and a great spot for locals to add to their weekly hotspots. read more

I probably had the best soy chai tea latte I have ever had. I may (actually not) be exaggerating, but it was really, really, yummy. The latte art was sweet too - a double heart, and you get a piece of chocolate with your drink! It's the small details that matter :) I ordered an 8oz because I wanted to save my appetite for dinner, and I usually take my time enjoying drinks, but this chai did not last me long. As I mentioned in a tip already, don't get an 8oz, you WILL want "Moore"! :) I'm ordering a 16oz the next time I go, it's worth the extra cents! Their sandwiches and waffles are also not bad either. I would suggest not to come in huge groups to drink coffee there, as their tables and seats are really limited.
