Cafe Madrid and Strawberry Shortcake Waffle are my go-to at Moore Coffee Shop. Cafe Madrid is great if you're like me and like coffee but prefer something a bit sweeter. The froth is super creamy and thick, and the latte below is really yummy too! It does get a bit sweet at the end though (maybe because of sedimentation of sugar/syrup). The sweet waffles here are also amazing!! Super crispy outside and soft on the inside. Also served with maple syrup (can't go wrong with whipped cream and maple syrup!). However, the ventilation inside the cafe is pretty poor, and you can see the smokiness inside from the waffle iron. I was also disappointed that they used disposable cups, plates, utensils (so much waste!) On my previous visits we had real cups/silverware. Overall, great place for a quick coffee and snack (5/5 for food and drink) but dinging two stars for poor ventilation/wifi and unnecessary extensive use of single use dishes/utensils. read more

Coffee-3 Stars The reviews for the coffee were great so I figured I would go for the popular reviewed item of a Nutella Mocha Latte. It was good, but nothing to rave about. I have had a nutella latte and a mocha lattee and something about putting both flavors together sort of cancelled them out for me. Again it was good, but don't think I will be running back for another. Waffle-4 Stars I got the Apple Cinnamon waffle to share with my sister. I wasn't starving and wasn't sure how big it would be. Needless to say I would have been just fine eating it alone. The waffle itself had a great flavor and texture and was served hot. The topping was a combo of fresh thinly sliced apples and some cooked apples. It only needed a hint of syrup, but otherwise was on point. Overall, the place is a quaint spot attached to a hotel lobby. It is idea for 2 or 3 people to grab a waffle or oatmeal and a cup of coffee. Coffee/drinks were top-notch notch, but I ordered the quesadilla and that was another story. The most predominant flavor was the raw red onion. It was supposed to come with sour cream and salsa, came with a brown acidic sauce that maybe was the salsa? No sour cream. Also a side of macaroni salad that just tasted like Mayo. I'm absolutely in love with the decor, drinks, and ambiance of this coffee shop, and I remember having the same feelings when I came here 4 years ago on my first visit to Seattle! I think one of my favorite things about this café is that the owners are Mexican and they play awesome Latino music all day long! I live for little tastes and opportunities to enjoy my culture in Seattle spots so Moore Coffee Shop is a huge win in my book for that reason! The owners and employees are very sweet, in good spirits, and seem to remember locals and frequent visitors, which shows their attention to customer service. Additionally, their drinks, pastries, and food are to die for. There's a huge variety of items to pick from, which makes for multiple reasons to come back and try new things. The designs on the drinks are absolutely adorable, and every Instagrammer's dream. I live in North Seattle, so I don't frequent the Downtown area, but the ambiance of the café makes for a perfect study spot as a college student, which is a big reason why I like it here so much. I only wish they were open longer, I'd definitely frequent my visits if that were the case! On my last visit, I ordered a delicious Mexican mocha, chocolate chip cookie, and a yogurt parfait. The staff are good listeners for customers that want their drink just so, and they are efficient. The cafe is cozy and cute. Finally came after seeing all the adorable latte art on social media! I had wanted a Totoro illustration, but sadly they don't accept requests because it is supposed to be a surprise. Mine was served with a cute bear drawing. Although the menu states that all prices are before tax, I was only charged the amount written on the board. I had ordered an 8oz Taro Purple Latte for $4.14. A bonus Biscoff cookie is included as well. Overall the art is nice but the drink is average. On the sweeter side with powerful taro flavor, I found the beverage to be warm instead of hot. The biggest let down though was that the bottom of the cup was grainy, likely from undissolved taro powder. The cafe is rather small, so is a bit cramped as it holds around twenty seats. Only five seats were occupied when I had arrived at 8 AM on a Friday. You order at the counter and pick-up there as well, which can be a bit confusing if multiple customers ordered the same drink. Used to live in the area for about 5 years previously and was back visiting our offspring and came across this little gem right next to the Moore theater. First off, the coffee quality is great, not the best I've had, but what makes up for it is the service, the high quality brew of the baristas and the cool eclectic and funky vibe of this 20 person capacity cafe. I had a flat white with a bit of almond syrup and it was really good! And every coffee drink with milk comes with outstanding foam art. We liked it so much, we went here for coffee three days straight! They made Sponge Bob, a waving bear, a penguin, Totoro, and Hello Kitty. Very cute. The place is tiny, but they managed to also install a grill to prove hot food and still provide indoor seating for about 20 customers, but don't let that deter you. One day we had a party of 5 and able to get a place to sit. Their specialty is sweet and savory waffles. I had the strawberry shortcake waffle and my wife had the Monte Cristo waffle, both good! They also have pastries, sandwiches, bagels, and other delectable items. They also sell homemade tamales (which we weren't able to cook in the hotel so we weren't able to try them). You have to bus your own but the service was attentive and friendly. As noted in previous reviews, has an Hispanic flair and influence Mexican mochas, horchata , etc. The decor is eclectic and fun and sets a really cool and feel good vibe. Check them out! I didn't sense any type of theme though. The girl that took our order was neither friendly nor rude. It was hard to say. I could barely here or understand what she was saying to me. This is the first coffee shop I fell in love with when I moved to Seattle so it remains a special place for me. I have tried so many Seattle coffee shops and they have hands-down the most skillful and CUTEST LATTE ART! Get your camera out my friends! It's not entirely spacious, but there is some window bar seating and about 8 or so two-person tables to sit and enjoy your coffee and meal. I probably wouldn't choose this place to do a long period of heavy computer work/work. More of a quaintly decorated sit-and-enjoy coffee with a friend place. Can get busy during morning and afternoon rush hours, but the baristas are always friendly and the coffee is worth it. Not the strongest cafe lattes, but have a strong enough taste to appreciate along with the latte art. They also have a varied selection of sweet and savory waffle dishes, brunch/lunch sandwiches and pastries which are tasty and fairly decent priced. The interior is very homey and cute. They have free wifi and ample outlets. If I lived in Seattle I would study or relax here! I ordered a soy matcha latte. This is my favorite coffee spot to bring visiting friends to. It's close enough to pikes that you can walk here. The staff is very nice and while it can get busy it's worth trying to sit in and have a coffee in a ceramic mug. They have very fun different flavors and I've been happily surprised when trying new things each time. This place was my last stop before leaving Seattle, and notably holds a special place in my heart. The interior of Moore is decorated with bright pink and feminine decorations, making it a little gaudy but in a satisfying way -- definitely the vibes of place I'd take the girls on a day off to catch up and spend the afternoon. The ordering system is a bit confusing, as you need to go to a different counter inside the establishment to order any food, whereas the one closest to the door is only for the drinks. For the food, you get a ticket number that you need to wait for, but for the coffee you need to wait at the other counter, so it gets a bit hard to hear when your food is ready since it's a fairly loud place. ~ Mexican Mocha (4/5). I chose this drink because it seemed the least standard out of most of their options, and as promised, the latte art as seen online didn't fail to disappoint. I wish that it was possible to have it in a teacup, but I did come here in the middle of peak COVID. The overall taste of the mocha was just very one-dimensional, and while it was very comforting and warming on a cold day, it wasn't really anything special. ~ Waffle Madrid (2/5). I was pretty disappointed in this waffle, as the description of "milk and expresso flavor" seemed really promising. The waffle itself was pretty plain, and was kind of on the boundary of being too soft but still trying to be crisp -- all in all, the bananas weren't enough to carry the dish. The expresso-condensed milk drizzle didn't shine through at all, and I ended up having to douse the waffle in cinnamon and white chocolate sprinkles to make it taste good. I don't think that I would come back here in the future, just because while the place itself definitely lives up to the aesthetic, I think there are much nicer coffee shops around Seattle that I'd rather go to, even for a girls' afternoon. read more

Moore's Coffee Shop is a small family owned & operated coffee shop established in 2010. They had the desire to make the best coffee Seattle has to offer. As of 2014, they made the top 10 list as one of the best coffee shops in Seattle in the Food Network magazine. The interior of the coffee shop is very cute. The place sets off a cool and relaxed vibe. I ordered a Cappuccino and my sister ordered a Nutella Mocha. They both arrived in a short time, with one right after the other. I realized the Cappuccino was a bit bitter for me. But hello it's cappuccino, I don't know why I just didn't order a mocha instead. I tried my sister's Nutella Mocha and whoa it was wonderfully executed. Rich mocha flavor infused with nutella. It wasn't vigorously sweet which was good. Both drinks were served piping hot. They also give a piece of chocolate along with the coffee. The foam art for both coffee drinks was really cute! The foam art for the nutella mocha was of a butterfly and the coffee art for the cappuccino of a lion's face. I was glad that the coffee managed to stay hot for quite a while as I'm a slow coffee drinker. I also have to add that the coffee here was remarkably strong as I felt jittery for quite a while. This is another one of those cases where the people working look like they're always angry but it's really just how they look. I mean the barista did greet us but she didn't seem that friendly. She rarely smiled, like the pursed lips kind of smile. Still, she made some amazing coffee and the coffee art was pretty cool. At least when we left she thanked us and told us to have a nice day. Might I also mention that there is a raised step from the counter area to the main dining area. Watch your step so you don't fall face down with your coffee. This coffee shop is conveniently located pretty close to Pike Place Market. When you walk in, you order at the counter and if you would like to sit, you can sit down in the little room next door. The tables here are super small! I really wasn't a fan of the service here. They took forever to take people's orders and let random people cut into the line, so it took a long time for me to order even though I was the 3rd person in line. I asked for a nutella mocha and a green tea latte for here and they messed up and put my mocha in a to-go cup - I did not appreciate this so he re-made another nutella mocha for me (but not until after he took his precious time making other people's drinks before me). He was not apologetic at all about messing up my order. In the end, after getting the drinks, the latte art was pretty cute. The nutella mocha however tasted nothing like nutella and very much like a regular mocha. The green tea latte also had way too much sugar for a latte.
