Delicious coffee! We stopped by here before a day of sightseeing in Seattle. We got here right after 10am on Sunday and there was a one so we had to wait 10 minutes or so before ordering once we ordered, I got their house special syrup. The coffee was good not the most stellar one I've had but I enjoyed it. The baristas were super nice and you can even have them "surprise you" if you want and they ask you fun questions to choose a syrup for you. Cute spot!

Heading to the gym wall this place is hard to miss. It's right in the corner. Coffee is deliciously delicous! Tried the salty nut and loved it! Service was fast and friendly! Totally Seattle vibes and vibe-N with it! One thing that stood out besides the taste was the lid, it has a more quality covered lid! I'm a coffee girly and I appreciated that! I even saved it to re-use! Save the earth

Ghost Alley espresso is an iconic spot in Seattle in the pike place market next to the gum wall. Literally next to it. It's literally in the alleyway and is a hole in the wall. Fully outdoors (albeit covered) and no seating. There is one employee who does everything from taking the order to making your coffee to delivering it outside via a side door. They have fun flavors like a mystery mocha and a salty nut latte. They also have classics like an americano and also barista creations. Lots of options to choose from. I enjoyed my salty nut latte and took it around the market for a fun daytime stroll. They have a stamp card for a free 10th drink and also sell merch. Definitely a must stop when visiting the market!

My friend and I decided to grab coffee here on a Sunday morning before our sightseeing for the day! There wasn't too much of a line (maybe 10 min wait or so). My friend decided to get the Salty Nut Latte and I got the Mystery mocha. The barista made sure to ask me about any allergens and/or flavors I didn't like. It was cool to check out post alley and the graffiti and gum wall nearby while we waited for our coffee. Very fun vibes. My mystery mocha had hints of cherry and mixed in with the chocolate it was so delicious!! My friends latte was also yummy and subtle but sweet. Really loved this spot and can't wait to return!

Cute little stop to grab a coffee while walking around the market. Love the speciality options! The service was great and my coffee was handed to me quickly after I had ordered!

I love local coffee shops & this was a good one! It took me a minute to find it cuz it's in an alley on the side of the public market place do u have to walk down the alley to get to it! The staff were great, super nice & answered all my questions. I got an iced marshmallow & coconut latte....yum was so good!! I highly recommend this in the cut coffee shop

A small coffee shop right at the end of Post Alley and near the gum wall. I think it's such a good business idea that they sell gum for 50 cents a piece! Last time I got their classic drink, the salty nut which was delicious. Tried their cold brew this time that is made with their spirit aged beans and was reminiscent of the Starbucks Reserve drink of a similar concept. Service is decently fast with plenty of things to wander around and look at in the meantime.

Loved the vibe here! It's such a cute little shop in the alley by the gum wall, and the employees are so nice and friendly. I ordered a cold brew and was not impressed with the flavor. My husband got an iced mocha and it was also mid.

Unique location right next to the gum wall and only takeaway coffee. They even sell gum for the tourist to put some gum onto that wall. The service was friendly and the coffee was good. They have some specialty drinks like their Salty Nut and SMOG which are popular. They offer all the alternatives milks you may need as well. Would recommend and be prepared for a line as it is popular.

I needed some caffeine to start a very long day filled with adventure and Ghost Alley Espresso was the perfect place to do it. Since I was still used to East Coast time, we got there really early and had no wait which was nice. This cute coffee facade is located under the main Pike Place Market sign, down some stairs. Do note that the specialty drinks are a bit on the pricier side, but still pretty yummy. The barista who took our order was really sweet. This is like an outdoor coffee shop. There aren't exactly tables, but there are a few chairs and places around that you could find a seat if you really wanted one. It's a great place to grab a drink to walk around with. I loved all the art on the walls. It's also right next to the famous gum wall. They even sell gum! If you're in the area it's a nice place to check out.

Tucked in the lower alleyway under Pike Place, the coffee came out quick and hot. Salty nut was highly recommended and for good reason- smooth, and not too sweet.

Felicia M.

I never thought an oatmeal shaken espresso could taste this good! I had the homemade butter and sea salt. Wow just wow and it's hidden in this cute little downstairs alley across from the gum wall.

I like this. It's away from the tourists. Coffee is very good quality. I love the theming. It's a nice small store. I dig that. Had a really productive conversation with a server there. Very direct and professional. Definitely check this place out?!

The coffee was delicious especially with the house-made nondairy milk, but what really stood out was the frosted cinnamon roll, which was almost like candy. I am not sure if this happens during the busiest moments in the shop, but they did have staff bussing the tables, and one staff member actually brought us our order (I'd been listening for my name to be called and didn't hear it). They clearly care about their image as they offer a free mug for first-time customers with an email sign-up. The drinks here are ok, but they average between $8-$10 each. I think the pricing is just much too high. You're paying for the vibes, not for a great cup of coffee. The matcha we tried was mediocre. There are so many other great places for coffee in Seattle, for just a fraction of the price. I think Storyville is preying on tourists visiting the market. They probably have to charge that much to keep the 8 employees milling about behind the counter employed. The space does have lots of seating, but it was nearly full during our early afternoon visit. Save your money, find another great local coffee spot!

This was on a Sunday afternoon close to 5pm, and there were still so many people occupying nearly every seat inside. I did come back to try their matcha matcha drink only to find it gone from their current menu as of May 2026. Instead, their turon matcha immediately caught my eye, as it has banana and I've been obsessed with banana-flavored toppings and puree on my matcha lately. It has matcha and house banana puree, both of which work well together. The tiny layer of house banana puree has all the flavor, especially when you mix the whole drink together. Very refreshing, and their ceremonial matcha's grassy tones still came out despite the banana puree being just as strong in the drink. Their matcha here comes pretty close to making it to the highest spots on my list of my most favorite matcha places in Seattle. Even if it isn't on the top of that list, their drinks are still 5+ star quality.

It's lofty and airy, and gorgeous green tiles of all different sizes and colors decorate the walls. We came on Memorial Day morning, and though there was a line, it went by pretty quickly. There's a mix of booth seating with small standalone tables and chairs, but most of the seats were taken. The barista/cashier was really nice about answering my questions about the pastry case. I ended up ordering a matcha latte with brown sugar syrup (half sweet) and a gruyere pull apart pastry. My friend got a regular latte with brown sugar syrup and the scallion pull apart pastry. I also bought a bag of their Morning Sun coffee beans as a souvenir, and the cashier mentioned how it was one of her favorite blends to drink and gift! That reassured me about blind buying. My matcha latte was pretty good. It had an added earthiness from the brown sugar syrup. Though it wasn't as green as the matcha lattes I'm used to drinking back in SoCal, it wasn't bad! However, I think I would skip the gruyere pull apart pastry next time. I usually don't mind gruyere in savory pastries, but this one was especially greasy. The scallion one my friend got was much tastier and a lot lighter - I'd recommend that one over the gruyere one. If I were to come back to Seattle, I'd love come back and try a sweet pastry and a different espresso drink.
