This month we were returning from a visit to So Cal and the passenger step into the cab of our Tiffin Wayfarer RV became so loose that it was in danger of falling off. At the recommendation of the MBZ dealer we went to Conejo RV without an appointment. Without hesitation, Kirk immediately got underneath the step and determined that the self tapping bolts (many missing) were no longer going to work. He had one of the techs immediately remove the step and refit with larger bolts. The whole repair was done within an hour. The step is now very secure. While the service we received blew me away, I was then completely taken back when he told me "no charge". My only regret is that we no longer live here as he would be my "RV guy" for sure.

When I needed a bike rack hitch on my Toyota Crown I started with the Toyota dealer who said they…read moredon't do it. After a search of local installers I went over to Conejo Vacation trailer and talked to Mike. He went online, found the hitch specifically made for my car and gave me a quote. Next I checked with my local bike shop and they recommended Eckharts, a local chain so I went in to see them and was told they could only do a custom hitch which would run me $100 more than what Mike quoted. Mike's shop is a bit of a mess but don't be fooled by appearances--he knows what he's doing. He ordered the hitch, called me when it was in and promised me it would take about two hours. At two hours and 10 minutes I drove away with my new hitch and drove straight to my bike shop where I told the tech about Conejo Vacation Trailer. If you're like me you do what you can to keep the small independent businesses alive. Mike made me feel good about my choice, saved me money and it all went off without a hitch! Wait, that didn't come out right.

Those people as well as a few that were employed by the business would also buy a vehicle from a seller before it is put for on the lot for sale. They make a below market offer and convince the seller that it's competitive, will save them the hassle of answering phone calls, coming back for test drives and haggling. I stopped going there several years ago for those reasons and the dishonesty and scams I have witnessed.
