I only leave reviews when it either out performs or when it fails miserably to perform as it should. My second experience from Rent-It falls in line with the latter. My rental truck broke down on the on-ramp to the 118 freeway at 1st Street, approx. 1/2 mile from the rental center. I called Dave, the manager, and he told me someone would be right there. After waiting 30 minutes on the side of the freeway, someone finally showed up and swapped trucks with me. At this time he tells me "Yeah, we've been having trouble with this truck." I think to myself, 1.) Why would they rent me a truck that's been having issues. 2.) Why would this employee tell me this!?!? Addtionally, I had brought my own dolly, but upon swapping vehicles, was accidentally left in the broke down truck which was then taken to Chatsworth. So, I needed to rent a dolly from U-Haul. Upon returning the truck, later that day, I was certain, I was going to receive a HUGE discount, perhaps the entire rental would be waived (as I would have done, if I was in charge). Dave greets me and says let me get you your final total for you, as if all was hunky dory. I said, "You mean, a total with a discount because you rented me a busted A$$ truck, right?" Dave, decided that my inconvenience and horrible experience with Rent-It was only worth a whopping 10% discount. Then, I told him my dolly was in the broke down truck. Since it was already taken to Chatsworth for repair, he told me they would call me in a few days when they got it back. It's been almost 2 weeks and I have not heard from anyone. Trucks break down, yes. Property gets left behind, yes. A customer's experience isn't always the best. But, a business that doesn't give a $hit about any of these things, is a business that should be out of business, and is certainly a business I will not longer be doing business with.

If one needs a packing/shipment box, like I did today, one can likely zip in and out plus the cost for boxes is competitive with box stores and Home Depot. I received excellent customer service this morning (from the fellow with the green painted fingernails-not judging). I rented a storage unit from HSCTO last year for 6 months. It was a truly seamless experience for me. My unit was clean unit, no one messed with my belongings and this place has easy access. Most importantly, I have received great customer service every time. All that I can say is that I believe that HSCTO is an excellent storage facility and would not hesitate to use it again.

I arrived at 5:45 pm to be told they are closed and cannot weigh my vehicle. I explained to them that their hours which are posted right outside the business says you don't close for another 15 min. And still with business doors wide open, they refused to weigh my vehicle. FIND SOME PLACE ELSE TO GO !!! I've been in customer service long enough to know, that this is not how you treat a respectable paying customer who is more than willing to give business.

The THE MECHANICAL DEFECTS COULD HAVE COST US OUR LIVES!! The truck speed limit max out at 35mph while empty (driving to location) and 25mph when filled with our furniture. IT CAME TO A TOTAL STOP IN THE MIDDLE OF THE 405 and my uncle had to improvise in order to avoid getting in an accident. To top things off the lift was not working properly and got stuck. Contacted the company and they gave us instructions to EMPTY the oil and let it run. All over the driveway of our new home! After that, the lift got stuck two more times. We ended up paying double to our movers because of extra lifting. It is now parked on the street and we are fearful to drive it back to the office for the return. I am writing this review to shed light on this company's negligence as well as their lack of customer service. They should have sent someone right away to remedy the issue or at least swapped out the vehicle. Totally illegal, unsafe and a hazard to the person renting as well as all others on the road. They should have their license revoked! We will be reporting this to the authorities in the morning!

Said he was open Sunday 7 am-12 so I told him I will be there at 7 am sharp... He was there at 6:56 when I drive up... Took about 5 minutes for paperwork and off I go. Returned it at about 12:30 same day... he was still there working. Really nice guy... dropped keys in the box So if when my bill comes and no uncharges are on it and I am billed what was quoted... how can you guy wrong with renting from these guys.
