AYCE is the place I called them to verify that not all the meat is marinated so if you have a food allergy such as to soy, you are in luck. They told me the brisket is not marinated. This last time I went, I had the brisket and Bulgogi pork. They seat you then start your barbecue in the center of your table. Then you are free to go to the self service counter to load up on any of the vegetables. Make sure you grab plenty of leaves of Romain lettuce on which you will build your beautiful messy barbecue and eat with your hand and chopsticks. They have forks and spoons as well as chopsticks and extra napkins on the table. I think it was $24.99 for lunch. There are rules since it's all you can eat so people don't order too much and waste a bunch of food. My, go to is their french fries, steamed rice, whichever meats I feel like having and the vegetable and kimchi and dessert bar. The server was attentive, and friendly.

We waited about 15 min to get table. Once we sat down and ordered, things come fairly quickly. Service was courteous. They offered to change the grill pan several times which was nice. All the meat we had was good. They served pretty high quality of short ribs and briskets. The AYCE price actually is tax inclusive so just need to pay tips. We will be back.

In long: It's a ways from town, which means freeway time and maybe a little savings in the end. It's on a long straight country road, and has that Hollywood-western façade that makes tourists feel like they've gone someplace new. Inside, there's a smallish room with a bunch of freezer cases that you open from the top to reach in. Understand, much of the retail inventory here is frozen. You can get some good prices on a few things, and the stock must change somewhat now and then. Their webshop lists a couple hundred different items for sale and there's no way there are that many in the physical store. Like most independent butchers, they don't have Prime grade meats for most of their selections most days. Buying power at big-box/warehouse stores is where you have to turn for Prime most of the time. We found steaks, pork chops, and snack sticks at good prices. The staff were nice, but the guy who seemed to be the boss was more into answering phone calls. Word has it locally that these guys offer good specials from time to time. Bottom line, if you're local, this place can help supplement your grocery shopping. It's a long drive to pay roughly the same prices I already pay at the butcher's, and with not much Prime to choose from, it really comes down to processing a whole/half animal to get the most out of this place.

We ordered the kimchi pancake, short rib soup with potatoes and glass noodles, and fried beef brisket (spice level 2/4). The kimchi pancake was overly breaded and tasted like it had been fried in reused oil. The short rib soup was the safest dish of the night, but the beef was still chewy rather than tender, the glass noodles were minimal, and the broth was extremely salty with a noticeable MSG-like taste. The fried beef brisket was heavily sauced, overly salty, and far spicier than a mild level should be. The beef itself tasted far from fresh and was very tough to chew. The appetizers were among the most basic I've seen at any Korean restaurant in the Greater Seattle area. Even then, the kimchi lacked depth and tasted unfresh, with sourness that felt more like age than proper fermentation. What made the experience even stranger was when the server asked how everything was. We tried to respond politely, and the server simply said, "I'm with you." Korean food is not rare in this area, and the prices here are on the higher side. With that context, the quality is difficult to justify. To be fair, the space is decent for group gatherings, large space, and the staff were friendly. But food is the most basic standard for a restaurant, and unfortunately it fell far below expectations. I genuinely don't understand how this place has such high ratings.
