I really don't like moving and find the whole process really stressful, but I'm so happy I went with Moovers because things just went so well. I've used moving services a few times before and they were one of the best. I reached out to a handful of well rated companies from yelp and they had really reasonable prices and the best availability that worked for me, and were easy to reach and book as well. Day of, Daniel and Cesar handled everything perfectly. I had been given a 3 hour window for arrival, and within that they called and kept me well updated on when exactly they'd arrive which was really helpful. They were courteous, easy to work with, and got everything loaded into the truck quickly, and the same with unpacking and loading into my new place. Everything went really smoothly, and now that I'm fully unpacked I can confirm that nothing was broken or lost, not a scratch on anything. Moving turns me into a big ball of stress, but they really made things so easy that I could just let them do their thing and didn't have to worry about it. These guys were great. They took us from a third floor apartment in Logan Square to a house in the boring suburbs with an additional stop in between in 4.5 hours. We own an average amount of crap for a two bedroom American family apartment. Milton, Abner, Gabriel, and Edgar worked tirelessly strapping 5-7 boxes at a time to their backs. They were all nice guys and hard working. My wife said it was one of the most impressive things she has seem. Also, they hustled. In other words, they didn't try to run the clock longer to get paid more. They are worth a generous tip, especially because they moved us in before this winter's first epic snow storm. Our experience with Moovers was excellent! I'm always suspicious of moving companies because they tend to overcharge, but doing it with Dolly movers and a Uhaul was almost just as pricey. I decided to go with Moovers because their quote was reasonable and they had great reviews. From the beginning, the staff was communicative and patient with our numerous questions. They were thorough with details and instructions, and were very clear about what scenarios could warrant extra charges. They made the booking process pain-free, but still I was a little paranoid about extra fees... On moving day, our crew Carlos, Jaime, and Nestor arrived bright and early. They were on top of everything and didn't waste a single second! Wrapped everything carefully and even added a few items we didn't expect them to carry. They unloaded the truck in less than an hour, and were extremely nice and professional. I was very, very impressed with the skill and demeanor of the three. When they were through, it was time to settle up. I was SHOCKED--the total was the lowest number in the range the office had quoted me, not a single extra charge or fee. The team was great. I had a lot of anxiety about moving, but I'm happy to say everything went well. It was a four man crew: Enrique, Juan, victor and Alex. Everyone was professional and friendly and they worked fast. They were very well prepared with supplies on the truck and it came in handy during the move. I had several delicate items such as paintings, large TVs and a very large mirror. They packed everything well; nothing was damaged. Also, the Moving Coordinator I had was great. His name was Moses and he answered all my questions and made setting up the move really easy. He even helped me to get a parking permit for the truck, so that the guys were able to get a nice parking spot in front of my building and this really helped the move go faster. I highly recommend this company for your next move. When you know that you're being charged by the hour, you expect that the movers will be very slow and deliberate and take their sweet time. Well, just the opposite occurred. The three men they sent worked at a brisk pace and hustled from the beginning to end. There were no mishaps, such as scratched floors or walls, or damaged items at both locations. All three men were very pleasant and knowledgeable and very accommodating. And at the end of the move the nicest thing was to find out that the total cost was going to be much lower than the original estimate. We used Moovers Chicago for our moooooove from a 1-bd apartment + storage unit to our townhome and they were fantastic to work with! Our request for a quote was answered in a lightning-quick 10 minutes and was extremely detailed and comprehensive. While Moovers Chicago wasn't the cheapest place we contacted, it was very competitively-priced. We also felt that it had no hidden fees and included blankets/wrapping materials, wardrobe boxes and furniture assembly / disassembly. Other movers had these items a la carte which had us feeling like those a la carte charges would add up fast! The communications were smooth with email updates and confirming the moove only took a quick, pleasant phone call. Our crew consisted of Jose, Lino and Francisco and they arrived promptly at the start of our moove window (8am). They efficiently mooved all of our boxes into the truck and protected larger or loose items with wrapping/packing materials. They did an excellent job maneuvering all of items into our house (a house with four sets of stairs!). They disassembled and reassembled our furniture which was so clutch and they even attached a new headboard we had just purchased to our existing bed. We didn't have all of our boxes labeled and the crew was really great about asking us where we'd like things set. All in all, Moovers Chicago made our moove so seamless. These guys were amazing! Highly recommend. Marcos, Juve and Daniel handled all of my items with such care, wrapping all pieces carefully that needed extra protection. They did not hesitate to ask questions about items they were unsure about, which I really appreciated. When we arrived at our new place, they did a walkthrough with me to confirm where every item should be placed (not only the room it needed to be in, but where in the room we wanted it), so by the time they left, our furniture was all arranged exactly as we wanted it! Finally, a pleasant move in Chicago! This was my 3rd move in the city. After 2 very poor experiences with other supposedly "top-rated" moving companies, I was dragging my feet trying to find a company with honest reviews. I looked at the top 10 movers on Yelp, and after sorting each "lowest first" and running them through the fake/inflated review litmus test, I settled on Moovers. I'm definitely glad that I did. Mari is who I worked with pre-move. She was great with everything. I also really appreciated the detailed itemized webform they provided. The crew was Milton, Abner, Gabriel, and Alex G. They were all very friendly and professional. They all remembered my name, and were very thorough in the questions they asked before, during, and on completion of the move. They came in a couple hours under the estimate, and I never felt like they were trying to drag out the move. That said, I did prep for the move by having all of the boxes/items ready and in a central spot. Except for the beds and dining table (which they disassembled and reassembled) and other XL items. So don't expect your final bill to be the same if you don't follow the recommendations in the quote! I'll end by saying that the 1-Star review left recently by another customer almost drove me to another company. So for other people that are moving, here's some advice: be smart, don't expect everything for nothing, have some self-awareness, and treat the crew with respect. And keep them hydrated! I am a return customer of Moovers. I used them about six months ago when I moved into a new apartment, and they did such a great job that I hired them for a much simpler move this time around. My aunt gave me her old couch; she lives out in the suburbs. Edwin and Lino were there when they said they would be and carefully packaged the couch. When they arrived at my apartment, they found that the stairs in my apartment building were too narrow to fit the couch, but that didn't stop them from getting the job done. When I first came across Moovers Yelp reviews, I was a little skeptical on how they had so many 5 star reviews. I've used movers five times in the last 10 years and Moovers Chicago was great from the start to the end. What sealed the deal for me was that they had an "all-in" pricing that specifically included tape and plastic wrap in their hourly rate. I've learned from other movers that they all try to charge you the same per hour, but then they get you on a ton of other charges. Suddenly a $600 move turns into a $800+ move. I found out about Moovers Chicago after I had originally booked a different service...which cancelled 45 minutes before they were supposed to arrive. I frantically asked friends for recs and two suggested Moovers. I called Moovers in the morning around 10am, and they were actually able to find a team to help me that afternoon at around 2pm. (I wouldn't recommend doing this to moving companies, but was so grateful they were able to help me out at such extreme short-notice!) Nestor, Julio, and Victor were amazing, very considerate of our items, and loaded incredibly quickly, especially considering they had already done a move in the morning. I cannot say enough about how absolutely FANTASTIC of a business this is. My appointment window was from 12:00PM to 3:00PM. The movers (Pablo, Sebastian, and another gentleman whose name I am unfortunately forgetting) arrived EXACTLY at 12:00. They came in and took inventory of the moving items and then IMMEDIATELY got to work. They were incredibly polite, efficient, clean, and respectful of my space. About 1.5hrs into the move, they unfortunately realized that my couch would somehow not fit into the elevator. They tried everything but it simply would not fit. I lived on the 29th floor so I just resolved myself to not having a couch moved or needing to take a saw to the couch. Pablo was incredibly kind and independently suggested that he and the crew walk down with a massive couch a whopping 29 floors. TWENTY NINE. I was floored. They did it happily and did not complain ONCE. They THEN came to my new flat and unloaded the new items as quickly as possible. It was out of this world how efficient the unloading process was as well. Realistically without the elevator-couch issue, they would have finished a 3hr job in 2hrs. At the end, they did not even hint at a tip (I certainly did so anyway). They were very transparent about all costs and left my new place in amazing shape. Great people to work with. Had to move a few large items from our condo to the new house we moved to and these guys got it done quick, were very professional and easy to work with. Plus they best part is since they charge by the hour, if they finish early, they charge you less! Granted if you go over the time specified, your going to have to pay more. Highly recommend using them for all your moving needs. Only thing is, if you live in or are moving in or out of the city, make sure they call ahead and secure the no parking permits from City Hall for you as at least for us, they wouldn't let us get them ourselves. read more

Carlos, Sebastian, and Francisco were SO quick and SO helpful with our move over the weekend! It was our first time using them, and we will use them for all our moving needs. They moved all of our large items in 2 hours! They were cautious and careful and everything arrived in great condition. They were really communicative about all the COVID precautions and the three of them (and us!) wore masks during the loading and unloading. It made a move during a really stressful time way less stressful. I also really appreciated how they used a mat on the floor when unloading stuff into our new appt to prevent any dirt/mud from the rainy weather.
