After our previous home sold faster than expected, we had to move into a short term rental until the build was completed. As it was only a 2 hour move, all of our furniture and possessions were put in Pods, and stored until the final move. As our closing date approached, I did quite a bit of research, and came upon John and his team at Knick Knack Movers. All of my questions were answered quickly, and the communication was great! On the move day, they were scheduled to have 3 people to empty our 2 large Pods. They arrived 10 minutes early, which never happens, and they had a 4th person to assist. One for which we were not charged. They were quick, careful, and every single person worked hard. It became apparent that they would finish prior to the 3 hour minimum. I mentioned to John, who came himself to supervise, that there was 1 item going to my daughters home 20 minutes away, and I had several items we had stored at her home that we needed to move as well. We hadn't contracted them for a truck, or the 2nd location, but John quickly figured out a price to add the extra to our move. The price was great, and they saved me renting a truck or trailer and doing it myself next weekend. As I said at the beginning... 11 states and 13 or 14 moves. This is our last. In all of those moves, this was by far the least eventful... WHICH IS AWESOME! In a move you want stress free and nothing unexpected to pop up. In hindsight, I think my friend must have been referring to a different M&M Moving Company because this company, based out of Montgomery, TX, was anything but professional and competent. They arrived, not with a moving truck, but with a large trailer. We told them right away that this would not hold all of our stuff (stuff we had already detailed for the company via email and phone) but they insisted it was the same square footage as a full-sized moving truck so we proceeded with the move because we were already behind schedule. There were 3 men, including Mark, one of the business owners. We discovered during the move that the two other men were new and had no experience moving. This is perhaps part of what contributed to the slowness of the loading. What should have taken no more than four hours ended up taking seven hours. We were, of course, paying by the hour. And, just as we had surmised, they did not have enough room to fit our stuff. Instead of telling us this early and letting us prioritize what items needed to go most, Mark announced this at the end of the seventh hour, which resulted in the company leaving behind a large amount of stuff that really needed to be moved such as kitchen ware and appliances. They were very rough with our items. Boxes were smashed, stuff was turned sideways, and in a bizarre choice, the legs of our piano were removed, the piano turned sideways, and the legs left behind in Houston. I did not realize they had packed the piano so roughly until we arrived in Austin (with no piano legs). They broke an antique washstand and could not get the refrigerator out of the house in Houston without taking off the hinges of our rental house's front door (even though it had been delivered through that same door without issue). They took the wrong route to Austin, or a wrong turn somewhere, so that a trip that should have taken under 3 hours ended up taking them almost four. Remember, we were already late in our scheduled time since they a) arrived late and b) took a very long time to pack most of our items (though not all). In Austin, they delivered stuff into the house so haphazardly that they continued to smash boxes, scratched our floors, and finally realized the piano legs were not with the piano. Thus, they left the piano propped up on bricks. Mark apologized at the time for the delays and the inability to get all of our stuff moved. He offered us a deal to move the last of the items on a later date, either 3 or 7 days from the first move. We were hesitant, but figured this might be the cheapest route for getting the rest of our items (and we had not yet had time to survey the damage throughout). We agreed on a second move date for the following Sunday and called Mark the next day to verify and they provided us with a written contract to formalize the agreement for a flat rate charge to move our remaining items. On that planned Sunday, my husband, who had returned to Houston specifically for this purpose, got all the remaining boxes and items organized into a single spot and ready to load quickly, but M&M Moving Company never showed. He waited two hours, assuming they were running late as before, then called Mark. Mark seemed upset about the price he'd offered us and tried to raise it and then just said he wasn't coming. So, my husband was left in Houston with no way to get the remaining items to Austin, where he needed to be in a few hours. We chose to have him return to Austin, leaving the remaining items behind and planned to find another mover or rent a truck ourselves to move the last of the stuff before the end of August (when our lease expired), since we still had another weekend left in the month. In the meantime, Hurricane Harvey blew into Houston and soaked many of our boxes that were left behind. Remember, all of these items would have been moved if a) M&M Moving Company had brought the right-sized truck or b) if they had honored their promise to move the rest of our stuff. Due to the hurricane, we ended up having to extend our lease by a few days to allow us to retrieve our items after the flooding abated. Many of them were waterlogged and had to be discarded but we filled our Penske rental and brought the rest back to Austin ourselves. Our move was a nightmare with this company and we plan to let all our friends and neighbors know how unprofessional this company was with our schedule and our homes. We are also officially filing a complaint with the Better Business Bureau.

I have an impact resistant roof that was installed six years ago By Jaxon. My husband and I paid in…read morefull for a roofing system that we were told would be a long-lived and trouble-free. However, after about three years, and after my husband died , I have seen issues that hinted at poor workmanship. The roof integrity became even more questionable when it leaked substantially twice within twelve months in the same spot during a heavy rain. I called Jaxon roofing company last year after the first leak that came through the ceiling interior for warranty service and, after months of waiting, they came and added longer nails to the main ridge, which did nothing to stop the leak. This year, following the second leak, I received little response to my claim against the contractor's warranty so I had to call an independent roofing company, who agreed to assess the leak problem objectively and give an opinion as to the cause. Their inspection concluded that the original installation was done incorrectly. I had yet a third contractor inspect the leak area and he had the same opinion---poor workmanship in the original installation which lead to the recurrent leaks and may have been ongoing for longer than I realized. During this process I also discovered some issues/omissions in the original documents and registration with the manufacturer on the warranty which I will now be pursuing for more complete disclosure. I would not recommend this roofing company based on my direct experience with them. I have no malice toward them but have suffered disappointment and loss without sufficient remedy since first contact. My last requests for inspection and warranty claim against workmanship deficiencies have to date been ignored.

This was my worst experience with movers in a history of 16 moves in three different countries! In those many moves not a single item was lost or damaged. In this move, almost every piece of furniture was marred, gouged, chipped, or otherwise damaged; feet were missing; and glass was broken. Nearly half the boxes (all carefully labeled) were stacked upside down, even those with unmistakable and abundant "fragile" labels and "up" arrows. Our movers arrived 4 hours late, then spent 5 hours wrapping furniture in plastic and tape--not in furniture blankets--and some was not wrapped at all. Too small a crew was assigned for the work involved, and a job approximated at 4.5 hours took 9 hours. The truck was too small (so they crammed everything in) and it didn't have a lift gate to facilitate loading and unloading, prolonging the task. Before our belongings were transferred into our home, the crew foreman demanded payment. We were never told we would have to pay on the day of the move. Not only did he refuse to give us an invoice, but he refused to unload our belongings until we paid in full. We had no choice. When we expressed our distress, the crew responded with hostility and increased haste--and a conspicuous lack of care unloading our possessions. We had to sign and initial perhaps half a dozen sheets of paperwork, but were refused any copies. The next business day we called the main number on the company's business card to find someone in charge. We were unable to connect with any administrative personnel, gaining the impression that this company is a loose collective of movers without an administrative core and leaving us at a loss about how to address fundamental business complaints. We were again refused copies of our paperwork. The spokesperson argued that providing the client anything in writing was not company policy. Our job was not assessed, scheduled, or executed professionally. A traumatic experience. read more

I got an estimate from Alex who was a great listener, and very thorough. He took pictures of everything and scoped out the project and then called to review the bid with me and assure me that his team would handle everything. His team is happy go lucky, militant and fast! They started at NOON two days before XMAS on our 4 bedroom house and we were very worried that they would not be able to finish the job in 1 day as originally scoped and promised. They brought in 6-8 people throughout the day and moved our entire house out of Malibu and into our new home in Santa Monica -- boxing, loading, unloading, and unboxing, start to finish, all inclusive, finishing by 8:30p -- we were in our beds (which they installed) fast asleep in our new home by 11pm. They even took a lunch break and bought their crew a big pizza dinner and asked me to join them to celebrate the move. They were incredibly gracious, trustworthy, and communicative the entire time. I honestly haven't ever had such a great moving experience and I could've never predicted it would turn out so well. The next day after a big move is always a pain. You have two weeks of work before you, you notice a few scratches on items, and things aren't where they should be, but that's okay, it's just the nature of the business, and all in all they did an incredible job and I am very grateful for their services. Is there a limit to how many 5 star reviews I can give them?! Lol this is my third review and after being a client for two years I've been satisfied every single time. These guys are hands down the best of the BEST! They are always easy to reach and flexible with scheduling, they're fast, experienced, professional, and genuinely care about customer satisfaction. Oh and did I mention strong?! Seriously, seriously, strong like Hulk strong! One mover could move ONE item that would take me plus another person to move! Gustavo, Juan, and Dante was my moving crew. JUST OUTSTANDING - 5 stars without a doubt. These guys are what you call PROFESSIONAL movers. They show up on time and have all the equipment needed to execute your move in the most efficient manner possible. Blankets, ties, dollys, protective wrap, boxes, tape... these guys seriously have it all!What exactly does that mean? Ha...well I'll tell you. They know how to properly pack, stack, and move it all. My wife ran out to run some errands and when she came back they were done.. she was worried I left the door open and we got robbed they were so good! Very pleased with the moving service I received from Moovit4now. I was moving from Santa Barbara to Redding CA (500 miles) and all moving companies quote me from $3000-$5000. Living on a teacher's salary with very minimal household items, I simply could not afford that price range. To add another layer of difficulty, one moving company I originally contracted with backed out of the deal at the last minute and claimed it was too far. To say the least, I was highly frustrated. However, Moovit4Now was willing to do this job for me to help me with my relocation efforts to Northern California. I highly recommend Moovit4Now as they provide VERY AFFORDABLE price ranges for more long distance moves. Kevin, the representative I spoke with over the phone to coordinate the move was also up front about all charges and communicated with me in a timely manner. All my items were picked up on a Sunday afternoon and then delivered promptly on Wednesday evening, a few hours after I had arrived at my new apartment. It only took Julio, Shaq and Cherry 30 minutes to unload all my items (mind you, I have a 1 bedroom), and I was highly impressed with their efficiency and their follow-through. Best Prices, Great Movers & Amazing, Friendly Customer Service I was amazed at this companies customer service. From the initial phone call just for inquiries, Cherry was great. A very friendly personable lady. She was very informative and patient with me. She's the reason I chose to go with Moovit4now & their prices also played a role. This was my first time using movers & the experience was great. My move started at 7am! I was up since 5am yesterday finishing up some last minute stuff but when they came they were very informative of the procedures for the move. The movers, which I feel so bad because their names slip my mind, were awesome. They packed my belongings precisely & neatly into the truck. They wrapped & taped what was needed to be. I knew I was moving and I put off booking movers because I honestly didn't really know who to trust as this was my first time using professional movers so after considerable procrastination I ended up going with Moovit4now because they had good reviews AND they were one of the only companies who could accommodate my last minute move. I didn't realize then end of the month was so much busier for moving companies but I guess it makes sense. I spoke with David on the phone and he walked me through the entire process and explained to me the costs and everything else. I'll admit I was a bit concerned as they charge by the hour and I thought that may cause the workers to milk the clock but my fears were put to bed when the movers arrived. They got right to work and didn't stop until the job was done. I can't imagine how long it would have taken my friends and I to get all my stuff to my new apartment but these guys had it done in practically no time, and I didn't even need to lift a finger. They were very respectful and listened to all my instruction on where things should go. I have moved about 7 years in my lifetime. It's a dreaded part of life that is never easy. Until someone recommended Moovit4Now. I have used them TWICE in less than 2 months and every single time they were professional, quick, efficient and COST EFFECTIVE1 I was asked to move at the end of my lease after only 1 year of living in a new condo. At the time I wasn't looking for a year lease so decided to move in with a friend. 1st move - take all of my 1 bedroom stuff, split it into storage and a friend's house. They carefully wrapped everything in shrink wrap, protected all in blankets, and organized my storage in a way that would be easily accessible while keeping all organized. 2nd move- i found an apartment much sooner than anticipated. The picked up all things in storage, all things in my friends house, and had it delivered and finished all in 2 hours!! And again, the efficiency, speed and professionalism were unparalleled! I seldom write reviews but in this case, I feel obligated to because of the wonderful work they did. We recently moved and used MoovIt4Now. I saw all of the great reviews on the web, so I decided to go with them. They were amazing and totally lived up to all the 5 star hype online! The team that showed up was ready to work and so professional. They were extremely careful and wrapped everything multiple times to make sure it was properly protected. They disassembled all of the big items with great attention to detail. When we got to our new place they put everything back together beautifully and without issue. We have a lot of big items that needed this to be done to. They took direction, all though I really didn't have to do much managing other than to tell them what to put where when we arrived. They finished sooner than expected and the price was much lower than what we budgeted. I am very pleased with this great company. I would use them again and recommend to anyone who asks. This past Saturday I had scheduled to move from my home in Hollywood to Malibu with a different company. The guys who showed up to help were extremely unprofessional from the way they spoke to the manner in which they carried themselves. I dismissed them shortly after they arrived and started making calls to find a replacement. I thought I'd be out of luck considering it was 9am Saturday morning. Luckily I was able to have the moovit4now team who is available 24/7 come out and help, they arrived to my home shortly after 11am and worked till it was night. They packed up everything in a timely manner and cleaned up my old house. By 4pm Sunday afternoon I was home relaxing with a glass of wine in hand, and it's all thanks to the kind souls who work for this company that made this process feel natural. This was my first time using a moving company so I was a little anxious how this all worked. I was going to use another moving company prior to finding Moovit4Now but didn't realize that some companies charge a minimum (just goes to show how clueless I am with moving companies) so I wanted to do more research and found Moovit4Now. I'm so happy I did do more research because Moovit4Now charges a hourly rate. I have a tiny studio so I didn't think it would take more than 3 hours. Ivan and Shaq were professional, quick, very knowledgable and communicated well with each other. They always treated us with respect and made sure that my furniture was wrapped so it would not get damaged in transit. It was a hot summer day which didn't make the move pleasant and moving in downtown Los Angeles doesn't make it ideal either. I will definitely use Moovit4Now for future moves. I have worked with moov it 4 now twice for residential moves, and decided to go with them for my office move as well. The entire process from beginning to end was executed flawlessly. For a moving company to perform so well on three separate occasions for three very different types of move was truly remarkable and worth commending. Our move consisted of multiple stops at warehouse, office buildings, and storage facilities and these guys did all the work like it was nothing. They were excellent communicators, flexible with our changes, moved quickly and efficiently, handled our items with care, truly seemed like they were invested in their jobs and they were a pleasure to work with! We received an estimate, and the final total was under that estimate. In business, that's a rarity! I have just returned from moving furniture and household items from a storage facility to a house. After setting the day and time two days previous to our move (very last minute decision on my part), Kevin handled all the details with accuracy. The four men and two trucks arrived at the storage facility on time this morning and proceeded to thoroughly explain exactly what they were going to do, how they were going to do it, and asked if I had any further questions regarding the fees and insurance. Ivan, Chris, Julio, and Felix were fast, efficient, careful, and worked as a team. They clearly have been working together for awhile because their communication was to the point and quite effective. I highly recommend this company, and especially these four men. I would use this company again without hesitation. I consider it a real bargain when I can stand back and watch them work without worry. read more

This moving company is so good that I have no words to really describe it and Lindsey, who set up my move, is an absolute angel and I am not exaggerating. The crew she sent was amazing. They were fast but careful and did a great job wrapping and protecting what was moved. They made moving a huge, very heavy adjustable bed and mattress down a flight of treacherous steps look easy - the way they worked together so seamlessly was truly a sight to see - and not so much of a wall or anything was touched as they did it. When I compare this experience with the moving company hired by my mother a few years ago, it is like night and day. Moovit4now is the only moving company I will consider and will be recommending to anyone looking for an honest, fair, excellent moving company. My wife and I used this company to help move us from our 3rd floor condo to our new 3 bedroom home in Burbank. There are so many horror stories about moving companies so naturally, we were a bit worried but luckily our move couldn't have been smoother. First of all our movers arrived right on time and ready to work. They did a quick once over of our place and got the lay of the land and then got right to work. We had some large/ heavy items that are very difficult to move but the guys had no problem bringing them down the stairs, taking great care not to damage our belongings or the walls and doors of our condo. Once we arrived at our new place the movers once again got right to work and quickly got evertrying placed right where we wanted it. We are so grateful to the entire Moovit4now team for making our move so easy and stress free! Well deserving of your 5 star rating. read more

Best moving experience ever. Juan and Rob were punctual, polite, and like oxen when carrying my heavy items up to the fourth floor. They were so friendly and didn't complain once even the temperature was over 100! We gave them water and Gatorade, but still, I felt bad for them! They treated it all as though they were moving their own things and I really appreciated that. I highly recommend this company. I picked MoovIt4Now after combing through plenty of companies online and I ended up being so happy with my decision. Such a wonderful company with wonderful employees! Also, the company communicated quickly and clearly which helped put my stressed out mind to ease leading up to the move! They got back to me so fast and answered whatever questions I had clearly. When i called moovit4now i didn't really know what to expect as i have never used a moving company before and i was reading in consumer reports how important it is to go with someone reputable who will get all of your worldly possessions delivered in one piece. M4N seemed like pros, and the fact they had liability insurance put my mind at ease. My move itself was scheduled for Tuesday at 7 am and the team they sent was right on time (they even called ahead to let me know they were on the way). As soon as they arrived no time was wasted and after briefly assessing the layout of the house they went to work and WOW were they fast. What would've taken my friends and i all day these guys got done in under 3 hours.. Very impressive! If you're moving and are considering hiring movers call these guys! I couldn't be happier with how my move went! read more

awful company. used them for a small move once and they were great. used them to move a 3900 sq. ft. house included boxing/packing 7 blocks away and they were worse than words can describe. they broke items, were slow, stole money from my sons piggy bank that i demanded they pay back, one worker almost got into a fight with me(really), and threw 30% of our belongings in trash bags because they ran out of boxes. paid almost $6,000 for the job. this place is the absolute worse. take my word for it...do not use these movers. you will regret that you did. after a year we are still finding brokem items from a few actual boxes they packed and still cant find items. no organization skills, poor performance, no rush from me on the job and was willing to pay any price for a great experience which they could not deliver. disgusting company read more

Our move couldn't have been easier thanks to MoovIt4Now! We had the pleasure of working with Dante, Gustavo, and Andres who were workhorses! They did an amazing job and were so careful, quick, and efficient. They wrapped every item properly didn't milk the clock at all. As one wrapped, the others carried to truck and Vice Versa when unpacking at the new place. They were all so friendly and very caring, it was like my friends were moving my stuff (except my friends would never work that hard LOL). Our move seriously couldn't have gone better! They gave us a quote and stuck to it and hustled the entire time - We are so thankful! We saw these reviews and trusted them and hoped for the best and the reviews couldn't have been more spot on. Cherry and Alex and really the ENTIRE CREW deliver an experience you would expect only at the Ritz Carlton. Clean cut, polished, polite, professional, sweet, caring, careful... and I am really just touching the surface. I had no idea that a moving crew could possibly be this amazing. Cherry is a natural leader and it's clear by the way her team emulates her cheerful spirit, boundless energy and sweetness that she has absolutely inspired them to greatness. To watch them work is like watching the New England Patriots in the zen mode. Well-oiled machine, everyone works together seamlessly - it's just something to behold. I was in awe. Not so with Castro's. They came to my house promptly to do a quote, dropped off boxes and packing tape the week before, and then came on time on moving day and loaded everything up. They were super careful with my packing up my fragile items. Less than 24 hours later, everything was delivered to my new place in Washington. Again, they were super careful with unloading and re-assembling. In addition to being punctual and very careful, they were always available via phone or email to answer questions, and their cost was significantly lower than the other companies I got estimates from. I am extremely happy and would use them again for any moving needs, whether Bay Area local or out-of-state.

Carlos & Mario handled everything with care, especially the heavier furniture and more fragile items. Beyond the work itself, they were professional, respectful, and easy to communicate with throughout the process. Moving is usually stressful, but they made this part of it feel easy.
