First time at this location --- and first time in a few years since I have been to a Mooyah. We went on a weekend afternoon--Sunday, I believe--mid afternoon so I thought it would not be busy but it was---had 5-6 people in line in front of us but the line moved rather quickly. My group ordered 2 cheeseburgers and fries. One of got ice tea and the other a vanilla shake. You pay at this time and they give you 2 cups--1was for the ice tea. We thought the other was for water but after we had sat for a minute a staff member came by asking if we ordered a shake--my appreciation is that we were supposed to give the cup to the staff at that time? That does not make sense to me and sounds potentially unsanitary but since it was filled with water the staff member said she would get her shake and bring it to her shortly, which she did. The shake was average. The burgers came next and I was satisfied with mine---it might have been a little on the overcooked side but I ate it completely and really had no complaints. The staff was friendly and helpful but perhaps they were understaffed or it was just a busy time as it did not feel like a clean and neat place. That said, I would still return in the future for another burger. read more

Wow!! This was our first time at Mooyah and it was great. We got 2 of the vegan burgers and they were delicious! I also have to shoutout Betsy for the PHENOMENAL customer service. So friendly, so helpful. She really went above and beyond... which is rare these days. You can tell she has a truly kind soul. Will definitely be back. read more

It could just be that I have terrible luck with this Mooyah location, but I've attempted to eat here 3 times, but have only been successful once... On my first visit, I ordered ahead and when I arrived, most of my food was ready. However, I waited about 15 minutes for the staff to heat up their queso for a particular burger in the order. Meanwhile, the other food was getting cold and the milkshakes were melting. The food was good, but this was certainly not the best way to put an order together. Second visit - stopped in on a Friday evening around 7pm to grab some milkshakes. After waiting in line for about 10 minutes to order, we were informed they didn't have any milkshakes. If we hadn't waited so long, I probably would have been ok with this, but this seemed like vital information that perhaps should have been posted somewhere since, you know, milkshakes are one of their main selling points.... We walked away empty handed on this trip since we weren't interested in anything else but shakes. Third strike...er...visit. This visit included a mobile order that my husband placed and I went to pick up. I was right on time for the pickup estimate only to find out when I walked in that only one person was working. The folks ahead of me informed me that they had stopped taking orders, but I noted that I had a mobile order (which means everything was paid already). There were about a dozen full tables in the restaurant and I noticed that no one had any food. I decided to wait a bit, but after 20 minutes of waiting (during which time another employee did start helping out in the kitchen, but no one ever asked what I was waiting for), I finally decided to leave. At around the same time, my husband informed that apparently the order was refunded (the only highlight to this effort). I'm willing to accept that there are some bad days, but the service here is consistently bad. It's a shame because what I have tasted was good - I'll see if another location offers better service. read more

Mooyah's is my favorite burger place in the Baton Rouge area. This location is in a shopping center. Parking can be a problem during busy hours. When you walk in you walk up to the counter to order. Wide variety of burger creations or create your own. You can get lettuce wrapped burgers as well. Our family favorite is the "best quesonario". A burger covered in green chili queso with jalapeños. The fries are great and come in large portions. The staff is always friendly. If it's busy it can take a little while but the burgers always come out hot and fresh. Our last few visits to this location they were out of things each time. Couldn't make the peach cobbler milkshake, no onion strings, no jalapeños etc. Disappointing but the food was still good. read more

Very average, if not below average burger. I had the bbq bacon burger and was disappointed. The beef patty was dry, thin and bland. It is not big and juicy like the pictures show it to be. The grilled onions were undercooked. The bun was good, but that's about the only thing this burger had in it's favor. If you want a burger in BR, there are about 10 other places I would go first before coming here. read more

Really good burgers and GREAT FRIES!! We didn't have a shake because we were stuffed. The burger comes with choice of bun or a lettuce bun which made my low carb heart sing. My blue cheese bacon burger in lettuce was cooked just right with melted blue cheese and crispy but not overcooked bacon. The fries were awesome. Fresh cut and crispy without being overcooked but a little over salted for me although I only stole a few from beloved husband's order. Definitely give it a try. We will be going back for sure. Good hamburger with some problems. First, this patties but uses two of them. The problem is that if you pre-cook or try to cook them too quickly, they dry out. These were a bit dry. Fortunately, I got one of their specialty burgers with lot's of add-ons. The overall result was good, not great, but good. Second, I asked for fries well done. They weren't. There were also a tad bit greasy which means the deep fry fat was too low in temperature at the time of cooking. The fries themselves were decent in spite of these deficiencies. Therefore, pay attention to details Mooyah! If these fries had been cooked correctly at a higher temp, they would have been very good fries. read more

I've ordered 4x and every time they have screwed it up pretty badly. One of the orders, I opened my burger to check it and there was no meat patty! I kept giving them chances because it's close to my house and I thought since it was pretty new, they were probably still training employees. My son and I loved mooyah when it opened. We would go to the one in Denham springs. It became so dirty that we never went back. Today we went to the one on bluebonnet and we're really happy. The manager was so nice and friendly, the store was clean and the food was good. They have restored our faith. We will go back to bluebonnet. read more
