Pros: 1) good quality food at reasonable price 2) great service during takeout 3) lots of seats Cons: 1) looking around during pickup, ambiance could be improved Rating: 4.5/5 The ambiance could be improved in the aspect of the restaurant is close to bare. No real flare or uniqueness that I can remember from being in the restaurant to pickup my orders. The service is great. All orders are done well and I've never had any issues with placing an order or picking up an order. The hostess also gave us a lot of sauces on request. The food here is amazing. The quality of the fish is excellent. I've been here 3 times and have never complained about the food. The portion sizes also are really good as well. Overall, I recommend coming here to try out the freshness of the fish. All of the food below was well worth the price. Food: Nabeyaki udon: 4/5 - tasty and worth it Grilled squid: 4/5 - good flavor and good amount but a little overcooked Tuna poke salad: 3/5 - good flavor but not a lot of tuna Maki combo (comes w/ salad and ginger dressing and miso soup): 4.5/5 - good deal, tasty classic sushi, did not have eel as written online Tokyo giant roll: 5/5 - very tasty and fresh Martinis special: 5/5 - lots of fish, fresh, worth it Audi roll: 4/5 - big pieces, good fish but overall flavor was not the best (the lemon did not work for me Six brothers roll: 5/5 - good flavor and different New Zealand roll: 4/5 - big fish, fresh fish

Sometimes I'm treated very well, server is making their rounds on some kind of schedule, and I would never feel like I was waiting around for something when I needed it. Other times, servers will take ages just to greet us at the table. This continues into drink orders, apps, etc. it'll take longer to order than it is to eat the food. A nitpick is that apps will come out genuinely a minute before your main dish if you order them together and they aren't spaced well at all. I went out last night to enjoy some ramen, food as always, but something really irked me this time. I had a $100 bill I needed to split and I waited around forever for the server to come back, despite the restaurant having maybe 1 or 2 other tables. When they did finally come back with my change, they either miscounted the change or took out a 20% tip FOR me. I was annoyed with the service since it was very slow and honestly I was gonna leave a smaller tip than that because of it. we had been waiting for such a long enough time that I figured it wasn't worth it waiting for them to come back around to ask about the change. I just wish there was more consistency with the service.

Great lighting and front row to the kitchen staff. We were seated pretty quickly and got our initial drinks soon after that. Our waitress was direct and to the point. Their menu features a good mixture of different dishes. For appetizers we got the chicken wings. It was delightfully crispy even after 30 minutes and still steaming hot. I was a little disappointed that it does not come with a sauce. I would recommend getting the spicy mayo sauce as dip (extra $1.50), superb flavor. My wife got the Red tonkatsu and love the spice level. Definitely not for the faint of heart. It came with a generous about of chashu pork and ramen noodles. I got the okonomiyaki which was also good. Fair amount of seafood and the pancake batter was light. I do wish it had more cabbage. We were too full to get dessert but the matcha cake and mochi looked epic. If we are in the Baton Rouge area again and craving ramen, we will definitely consider going back.
