This had to have been one of the most disappointing burgers I've ever eaten. Where do I start? I love trying new places especially when the reviews are hyped. I'm not a foodie or a social media influencer, I just like good food with great atmospheres. The place was packed, with smooth jazz (live) outside on the storefront patio (there were a couple of kids in the band, so I hope they were paid well). There was a lot of hustle and bustle. A couple of the owners/managers (I'm not sure which they were) wearing black t-shirts plowed right past me and my husband while we stood in the doorway waiting to get in to place our order almost bumped shoulders with me didn't bother to say excuse me (no manners). Some young kid wearing the same t-shirt did the same thing not two minutes later. The girl at the register was very polite and helpful with the menu (she gets a gold star!). The kitchen looked like a chaotic assembly line as the orders were being prepared. Runners were aimlessly wandering around trying to figure out who ordered what because orders would be placed and the people would go outside to sit or in the parking lot, some were sitting inside but it was so noisy, you couldn't really hear when your name was being called. An intercom system would've helped with this. Now for the burgers, we got our order to go, when we got home and opened the package, my burger patty had a gaping hole in the middle and was barely a circle, no flavor, no salt, and it looked like it was used for target practice. Btw, the fries were very good. I'm usually the picky one, but when I asked my husband how he liked his burger, he motioned an infamous "Caesar" thumbs down. Unfortunately, I don't understand what all the hype was about. It seems that in these post-COVID times, everyone's standards and manners have severely diminished. Shakes are not good either! How do you claim your shakes are made with real ice cream when it's premade and flowing through a dispenser flavored with bottled syrup? There are so many other burger places out there way-way better this MOOYAH. This one is a one-and-done for us! read more

Excellent burgers I had the cheddar bacon bbq, I substitute onion strings from grilled onions.

I wanted to try this place since it's less than a mile from me. I Ordered online for pickup which was very easy and wait time was 13 mins. Got home and unwrapped our burgers and hot dogs. Sad to say the buns were extremely soggy. Unfortunately it made it very difficult to eat our items because of the buns. Not sure if we would give it a try again after spending $40. I'm glad to know after seeing another review I am not the only one. read more

Visited this Texas franchise burger business after reading rave reviews and plenty of PR copy in the local paper. Staff were young and pleasant. Space was ok. Ordered the hot pepper burger and partner ordered the Vegan burger. The Vegan burger arrived w/a piece of lettuce on top secured to the tiny bean patty (actually looked kinda lonely on serving plate). After first bite partner immediately reported that the dressing and barbeque sauce drowned out the taste of the black bean patty. My burger arrived and had similar reaction i.e. the dressing and condiments overwhelmed any taste of beef. Also did not find the burger any bigger than other burger chains and would in fact the opposite. The fries were at best ordinary and not plentiful. The bill for a small shake, fries, beef burger, and vegan burger was $32 ! Also found it irritating that they did not publish their rates on web site (cute). There are many other burger joint choices in our area that provide higher quality, better cost, and more generous portions. Overall my dog would disagree inasmuch as he became the benefactor of the left over portions. read more

I really enjoy this burger joint. Food is great. It's a really really good clean burger. Not greasy and I don't feel bad after eating it. The brioche bun is definitely a win and is a successfully executed burger every time I have been. The fry portions are huge too which is great to share. Gotta say we like the place. read more

Oh yah! We were leaving Legoland and needed a quick bite to eat. MOOYAH didn't disappoint. We got 4 different burgers and it was tasty. The burgers are a little greasy. The spicy bacon jam is spicy but very good. Great Great flavor. Not a fan of the fires but the sweet potato fries were perfect. The staff we friendly and quick to fix the mistake. The forgot fries but gave us an upsize for the inconvenience. The seating area is tiny but the decor is retro and the restaurant is clean. read more

The food is very meh for the price. $2 up-charge for cheddar instead of american cheese, which was offered by the cashier without mentioning the price . Go to The Habit or In N Out, about half the price and double the deliciousness. read more

We have been looking forward to the opening of MOOYAH for months. I went there Saturday, grand opening day. Long line but expect and it moved fast. I ordered a cheeseburger and created a burger with A1 sauce along with orders of sweet potato and regular fries to go. I like salt and pepper on my burger, the cheese burger didn't taste seasoned. My son's A1 burger I created was missing the A1 sauce, so his burger was bland. The fries tasted decent though I wish they were fresher and not sitting for some time because they were very soft. Fries are suppose to be crispy. I would recommend they install a speaker system so people can hear when their order is called especially if you are waiting outside. I will try again in a month when they fix the glitches because I think new businesses deserves a second chance. read more

It takes a lot to force me online to write a review - good or bad. But, I felt like I needed to express my intense disappointment with my first Mooyah experience. I ordered delivery this evening - very basic cheeseburger, Swiss mushroom burger, and fries. I took the fried onions off the mushroom burger and added grilled onions. The food arrived in record time (so I know the delivery had nothing to do with the issues I experienced) and the mushroom burger had no grilled onions, very very few grilled mushrooms, and almost no mayo. The taste? Not anything to go back for. The fries - ordered a family size serving - were wilted and room temperature. Again - my food arrived within minutes of me ordering so I know this had nothing to do with delivery time. I now have to heat the fries up in the air fryer to even get them to a point of being edible. I was generous in giving 2 stars, as I'll never be back. But because people who want to give no stars, give 1, I thought 1 was a little too harsh. I have taken a few bites of my burger, after all. read more

As of this review, my family has eaten at Mooyah twice. Both times, it was an excellent experience. Perfectly cooked hamburgers and fries. The shakes were SUPER thick, but boba straws, so no problem there. Prices were very reasonable, especially given the quality, though I'd say maybe the shakes were a little higher than I'd like. Last week before they opened, the owner brought a few burgers over to the Von's grocery store where my wife works. She'd already eaten lunch so she brought it home. I warmed it up out of the fridge a day later and it was still really good! I figured I had to get back there asap so went by the day they opened. It was a little chaotic as everyone was just getting started. The burgers are just fantastic. Similar to Smashburger but much better. Super friendly and enthusiastic staff and owner. I had "The Indulgent BBQ, my son had the same, and my bride had "The Well D'Onion". She said the Spicy Ranch was definitely a little spicy, which was great. We also had two regular fries and one sweet potato fry. Love the way they do the fries with the skin on. Can't wait to go back again. MooYah will be in the regular rotation for sure. Prices about like Five Guys. Not cheap, but not crazy expensive either considering the quality and quantity. These aren't small burgers and they don't skimp on the fries. read more

So good!!!!! They accidentally added mooyah sauce when I said none but they fixed it super fast even though they were very busy. I loved the Irvine location so I'm glad there is one much closer now. How refreshing it is to get a hamburger that is delicious! One thing that makes this hamburger so good is the freshly baked bun. Even though they have a lot of choices to get the burger exactly how you want it, ordering was very easy and when it came to the table it was correct. We had the fries, which are freshly cut potatoes. I am going to try the chips next time we visit because I am sure they will be equally as good as the fries. Tried the new MOOYAH in Carlsbad. Our only complaint were burgers being drenched and dripping in their signature sauce. Made it difficult to eat, as the burger fell apart. Couldn't really taste the flavor of the burger. We'll try again, but hold the sauce, please. read more

Ordered through Door dash. Got 2 cheese burgers with jalapeno's, bacon and special sauce for husband and son. I got a cheese burger with bacon, crispy onions, lettuce, tomato and special sauce. The burgers were great, juicy and messy....just how we like them ! I got the shareable size of fries....they were good and crispy on the outside and soft on the inside and were not too salty and enough for the 3 of us. Quality ingredients and very reasonable compared to Shake Shack, Five Guys and the Habit. Our new go to for burger night ! Can't wait to try the milkshake !!! read more

burger has ok flavor. fries seem to be double fried. some were mushy and some were burnt. shakes are good but small and over priced. we had coupons for buy one get one free and still paid over $30 for the two of us. better off going to Habit. better quality, flavor and price. read more
