Stumbled across Burger Lounge due to my little monster craving for some burgers for dinner. A quick search online led me here... Let me start off by saying I initially thought Burger Lounge would be great but heading to the closest In N Out would be just as good and at a fraction of the cost. Luckily for me, my little one refused my attempted coaxing. Parking was a breeze given the fact that the lot is massive- perfect for the neighboring businesses and the busy foot traffic coming and going. Our party of three were immediately greeting with a smiling young gentleman standing behind the register. At first glace, the restaurant was massive is size, very spacious, modern, and 100% well kept/tidy. Seating and decor was simple enough but still had a classiness to it. We placed our order with the smiling gentleman [whom I learned was ANDREW]. Dinner consisted of: *KIDS MEAL: Cheeseburger with onions, lettuce, and EXTRA pickles *BACON BLEU BURGER *TRUFFLE-MUSHROOM SWISS BURGER *LARGE HALF & HALF [ tallow fried onion rings + fries] *DRINK Food: I kid you not, EVERYTHING WAS DELICIOUS!!! The order was made beautifully- presented well and cooked flawlessly. A+ for taste and presentation, which I totally didn't expect. Brioche buns were fluffy yet charred just enough on the grill to house all of the ingredients. The patties were flavorful and juicy. The goodness didn't stop there- BD mentioned Burger Lounge's onion rings being the BEST he's ever had!! Quality is absolutely undeniable. Above all, this burger joint runs smoothly thanks to the incredible staff. Each and every person we encountered was kind, polite, and so very eager to help with whatever requests. The only complaint I had was the terrible internet connection. Come here expecting to put your phones/tablets down even if you don't want to. LMAO. 5/5 stars but I'd easily give them so much more. Dinner was absolutely delicious and I am so sad that this particular Burger Lounge is soooo soooo far from home. I loved coming here for burgers and fries. Especially being a vegetarian, this is the only place they have really impossible burgers. Unfortunately we just learned that they now dry everything in Beef tallow. Needless to say we won't be coming here any more. read more

After shopping at Costco my boss remembered this place and if cheeseburgers are on the menu, it's a go. There is a big sign - "Tuesday kids are eating free", but surprisingly not a lot of them were present. Maybe because it was pretty hot inside, no A/C on, all the doors are open and it's with 86 F degrees outside. Another issue when you ordering at the counter for your little side salad ask for your favorite dressing, otherwise you are getting roasted shallot vinaigrette. Same with burger - it's done medium (actually I like medium to well done), but today I liked it anyway. Food is very good, I got a regular fries, ketchup provided to you and both food and ketchup brought to your table. Service is good, no complaints here, just next time please put A/C on. read more

Just delicious! Ordered my Grass-Fed Patty on a Gluten free bun (allergy, not preference)- and per the usual it was so good! Perfectly sauced... and I love that it's grass fed!! The Burgers were very large which is good. The issue I had was that it either came medium, which I assume is pink in the middle which I find gross, and well done. I ordered well done and it was overcooked. How about an option of medium well, and for $13 a burger it should be an option. The bun is whole wheat and some folks can't eat whole wheat and some don't like whole wheat. I am both. There should be a White Bun option. For these reasons I can't recommend the Burger. The French Fries were good, though. Not too flavorful but they were crisp and not soggy. read more

We came to Lego land California. We decided to come in here because of burgers they have. The young lady at the register, asked me what I wanted. I told this is our first time here. I asked her for 2 hamburger combos and 2 kids meals. She charged me for 2 hamburgers she asked if I wanted fries with that. I said, "the two combos, don't they come with fries and a drink"? She said no my total came out to $57 and change. Before walking in they have a sign that shows combos with fries and a drink for $12. A business shouldn't lie to their customers read more

So burger lounge for me is a stop before or after Costco it's in the same center and it's a good walk either two or from Costco. I've been coming to the burger lounge for about eight years and I've seen it drop in popularity I guess, but I really think it's because the prices have gotten Much higher than any other semi fast food restaurant. Today the burger was great. The service was smiling young kid at the front desk who came over twice while I was eating to make sure everything was good... So it's not the food or the service I think it's truly the prices. It's too bad because it's a really good spot and I will continue to encourage people to try it and I told the management today to look at their prices and see if there is an way to do a two for one day to do buy one get a free soda. Food: I ordered the Husky (double burger) and it was good. The beef is high quality, the toppings all fresh tasting, American cheese nice and melted as it should be. The bun tasted slightly earthy-- it didn't ruin the burger but was not what I typically like. Perhaps it was whole grain? However, I did appreciate the bun being slightly smaller in diameter than the patties. Nothing is worse than a burger that's all bun. I feel like this location has improved its customer service, communication and order speed so much! After taking a break from visiting, we were so happy with our most recent experience! John and the assistant manager were a well-oiled machine, working in sync to provide an awesome meal and offering timely updates from the kitchen. John is so friendly, communicative, knowledgeable about menu items, and a hard worker who truly cares! They were so thorough in ensuring our order was correct, double checking there were no missing items, and making sure we had all the extras we needed to enjoy our meal! Often times in prior visits we would have to remind staff to include the fun ice cream and organic apple juice that comes along with the kid's meal (you can imagine the disappointment the kids would have when you arrive home realizing those items were missing) I feel way more confident now and trusting that when we order from here we will receive an accurate order. Used to love Burger Lounge so so much when I lived in Cali. And I will forever keep a place for it in my heart but my experience this go around wasn't as good as I remember. I asked for 2 burger patties and some avocado. I got just that but I asked for rare burgers and that they were NOT... And the avocado was totally overpowered by the lemon they put in it (to make sure it doesn't oxidize as quickly?). I mean, don't get me wrong, I could have absolutely eaten 6 burgers, without blinking, but I just kind of felt like this meal fell short of my expectations. My husband agreed with me. I love burger lounge!! This review is long overdue. This is one of our frequent stops when we're driving to/from SD and the OC. I love the quality of the food here. What brought me in was the number of healthier options they have to choose from. One of the first times I came here was when I was pregnant and had gestational diabetes. My diet options were limited, especially when I was on the go! I appreciated the fact that I had so many options to choose from and every time I've gotten something from here it was absolutely delicious. They have your standard burger and fry options as well so there's something for everyone. I also appreciate that I know I'm going to just get a good quality meal from this place. Happened to be in the area and decided to come here with my wife and her mother since they love their burgers, and are always keen to try new burger places wherever they may be. Anyway, my wife and her mother ordered the Lounge Burger with Swiss cheese, and one with raw onions and the other with grilled. I went ahead and ordered an Alaskan Cod Sandwich. For sides, we ordered a large onion rings and French fries, and a 5-piece Chicken Tenders (plant based). What we really liked was that they are willing to "customize" our orders to our liking without any restrictions.....like no added salt on the burger patties and cod, unsalted fries, all sauces on the side, etc. To cut a long story short, my wife and her mother loved their burgers and said that they were very good! My cod sandwich was good too....hot, fresh, and yummy, but the size was much smaller than what I thought it would be, as were the burgers......at this price, I had expected bigger.... more American sized.... portions, but other than that, the quality was definitely there. The onion rings were a bit over-fried, but still crunchy and not too bad when dipped in ketchup. What surprised me the most though, were the plant based chicken tenders...also highly recommended by the young lady who took our order. They looked like chicken and tasted like chicken.....juicy, tender, and tasted really good! Had no one told me they were plant based, I would never have known, and, in fact, I thought they actually tasted better than real chicken meat tenders! First off, the parking sucks as they share the lot with Costco, and getting in and out is a headache on a weekend at lunch. However, I've been to 4 other Burger Lounges and this one is my favorite. The Sunday we last ate here, the server gave us free potato chips that they had made for a catering event. Best chips ever and although we had fries and onion rings with our lounge burgers, those chips were the highlight. Burgers still great as usual and the 1/2 and 1/2 fries/onion rings were perfect. We would eat here more often if it wasn't for the traffic in the lot. read more

We were a group of 5- that included 2 exhausted moms, and three young boys coming off their high from Legoland ( high maintenance group). Lunch with husband and two under 3. Wild success. First, service was lovely. They brought over a little sweet treat for kids, which was very much appreciated and made us feel like much less of an imposition (which can sometimes be the case for any restaurant, though that may just be parental anxiety talking). So it was much to my surprise when I went to this Burger lounge - I got a burger, of course & fries with a drink - it was a bundle - $16. Something....... First of all there was only one guy working the counter - not busy in there at all. So he took our order. Our food wasn't coming and wasn't coming and it was because he was busy taking another order of two women that were taking forever and our food set up on the counter - I got up to just grab our food and someone in the corner that was sitting at a regular table said can I help you ma'am and I told him that's our food it's been sitting there awhile. So he gave me our burgers and got the sauces for us and brought them to our table. My burger was cold and there was no fries hardly in the bag and those were cold!! Why the heck wasn't this guy helping the guy up front taking the orders?? I paid all that money for cold food. I wonder why the manager (and he was the manager we asked him) wasn't working the store and taking care of customers while the one guy was taking the orders?? Strange. BAD BUSINESS........!!!! Thursday at around 12 PM, I go there and trying to use the promo I received on my phone says $5 deal. The cashier tells me that it's between 2 PM - 5 PM so they couldn't offer the promo I received. I showed her the photo, it doesn't say anything about 2 PM - 5 PM but just "Before 5 PM" She still insists I needed to come back in between 2 PM - 5 PM in order for me to take an advantage of that offer. So I searched online for Carlsbad location's special deal, it shows between 10:30 AM - 5 PM. She doesn't even know the deal, the manager needs to train the employees at that location better. Nicer (and more expensive) fast casual burger place. Order at the counter, get a number and they bring your food to your table. They have some new specials available (truffle Swiss mushroom burger, hatch Chile and crispy queso burger with guacamole, bleu cheese bacon burger) all at $13.95. I also like their paleo burger. Also some good chicken and fish options if you don't want beef. 1/2 and 1/2 fries and onion rings are solid. They have a good house ranch. Some fun soda options and unique lemonades (hibiscus or lavender). Hibiscus was too watered down for me but I like the root beer. You also get free refills if you bring your cup up to the counter or catch a server. Good for a nice, but pricier lunch after or before Costco (same parking lot). Hubby and I were visiting the Escondido area for the weekend wanted a quick bite to eat so we decided to try Burger Lounge. We have had it before but not this particular location. I ordered a turkey burger and it was superb!! Hubby ordered a burger but is very picky and had to have it re-cooked twice. Mike was excellent in regard to this and made sure my husband's burger order was correct. We greatly appreciate his patience and hospitality. Also, the Shirley Temple's are amazing. A must try!! They have vegan options but they are a bit lack luster. It's cool that a couple of their dressings are vegan by default and that they also carry nuggets (vegan products are impossible foods), but they are just OK. The place itself is cool, there were many people so it's a popular, but with Veggie Grill next door, I would pick that for a vegan burger instead (and even then, there's only a few items that hit there too). Burgers were very good. It's not a sit down restaurant. You have to order at the counter, then sit and wait to be called to pick up your order. Also, the food is a bit pricey for not being a sit down restaurant, but it is Carlsbad, so it's kind of expected. I would come back though. read more

Shout out to the outgoing staff here! Let's be clear: I don't think I've ever been to a Burger Lounge location where the employees didn't go ABOVE AND BEYOND. This location wasn't any different. I submitted an online order for lunch before I realized just how CRAZY traffic was- but by then, it was already too late. Order was placed... card was charged online... I HAD to commit. I called the restaurant to see if they could delay making my order- and the staff assured me (in the absolute nicest way possible) they would take care of it. Awesome. I showed up and they had JUST begun making my order- to guarantee it would be fresh by the time I made my way back to work. Although this area gets crazy busy during lunch hour on a Friday (I know, what was I thinking???)- I was lucky enough to find parking. The staff was just as amazing in-person as they were over the phone. (No surprise there.) They packed up my food with all the necessary utensils/napkins and handed it over with a huge smile. I got the Daily Greens salad with an added turkey patty. DELICIOUS. My coworker got the double S.O.B (Son of a Butcher) Burger with fries/onion rings and the Caramel Pretzel Milkshake. He said it was all "SO GOOD". The restaurant wasn't packed, but the atmosphere was chill with super friendly service. I would definitely come back here- just NOT on a Traffic-Friday. We used to eat at the Burger Lounge in the Flower Hill shopping center in Del Mar pretty frequently. We loved it. We decided to give this location a try tonight and it did not compare to the other location at all. Our burgers were soggy, bland, lacked any flavor, the fries were hard, tasted like pure vegetable oil and tastes really old. The onion rings were the only thing that we ate that were okay. Definitely will not be back to this location. read more
