The color came out beautifully and she really took her time to make sure everything was even and exactly what I wanted. The salon itself has a great vibe and the staff are friendly and welcoming. The price is good but the communication and service are miserable: I was asking for cutting my hair with one inch left. But he understands as cutting one inch only and the long hair should be left intact. I tried very hard to let him know what I wanted after he is done; then he understands as cutting very short instead of one inch left. I had made an appointment 3 weeks in advance to try this place. When i walked in, there was no recollection of the appointment but Kim took me in and did a partial highlight and cut for an amazing price. If you want just a straight cut for your hair then you can go here. It seems like their hair cutters wing it out while cutting hair. I ended up going home and finding out the back wasn't cut the same length, I had to cut the excess length off (it wasn't easy as my hair is layered). The 2nd time I had my haircut here the same lady that cut my hair did the same thing- this time, a friend said my hair is longer on one side than the other side! I never went back. So if you are one of those females who just want only 1/2 inch haircut or you don't care where your money goes then by all means go here. Fast, no-frills hair & nail salon No appointments necessary (although you can still set up a time with your favorite stylist/nail artist, I suppose!). I had my hair trimmed yesterday. Last week I went in to fix my nails as they've become brittle and we're painful due to breakage. This is my go to place for haircuts now in all of San Diego. Never a bad cut no matter who you get. This place is based on walk in, so be prepared to wait a bit but the line moves quick and well worth the wait. I don't think I have ever waited more than 15 minutes. Today I went to Moraga Salon for the first time and a well respected lady named Xin Xin Lin -pronounced Show Sing - made me feel at ease and showed her skills & Art which made me very comfortable and excited for the end result. She is very polite and we had great conversations which extended my comfort. I highly recommend her as her skills exceed way beyond the amount they charge. I went to this salon this morning to purchase a hair washing. The lady said it would be $10 and I obliged and she sat me down in a chair can you make sure to rinse the back of my head and she said no the water would go everywhere... when she was done she didn't offer to dry my hair. She washed very rude about this and she said it would be an additional $38 to dry my hair. It was like 58 degrees outside today and I am nearly 80 years old. I had to go home with a wet head, dry it myself and I have arthritis in my shoulders so this is the reason I wanted someone else to wash it. read more

Have visited this salon on 5 separate occasions to get haircuts for my two sons. They are one and two years old. Not any easy task to cut toddlers hair. I am new to San Diego and did a bit of research as to where I could get a nice fade, as well as a beard trim. I saw several references for Moraga regarding their great service, as well as their extremely competitive prices. I stopped in and upon arriving saw they also offered hella salon/spa services, which was great because I was also badly in need of a pedicure at the time. The gentleman there cut a great medium fade and tapered my beard quite nicely. Being greatly pleased with these results, I decided to go for the pedicure as well. A very nice lady handled this part of the visit, and did an excellent job, especially considering how overdue the service was . Once again, the prices (especially for the haircut) are extremely reasonable compared to many other shops in the area. 10/10 would recommend you stop in for any grooming services you need. So, ever since my regular barbershop closed on Balboa Ave.... I have been on the quest to find an awesome barbershop. Well, little did I know that it would be a monumental task. I was about to go Rastafarian.... it was that hard. Anyhow, a few months ago, a friend of mine mentions this place. So, at the first opportunity, I rush there with my son. Luckily I found this place which is more like a one stop beauty salon than simply a hair salon. They offer it all here, hair styling, nails, facial waxing, you name it, they do it. All of their stylists do great work and they are very attentive to make sure I am getting exactly the hair cut I am looking for. I like to change up my hair a lot so sometimes I come in with a picture torn out of a magazine and they are always able to make my hair look just like the picture. I have never received more compliments from my friends, family, coworkers, and most importantly, my husband! This is my favorite salon! I come here for haircuts and also my pedicures. It feels good to treat yourself every now and then. My mother and I come once a month and I always ask for Tia. She is amazing. She knows my feet better than I do. I am fairly ticklish so she takes it easy on the bottom of my feet. For my haircut I try and get Kim if she is available. I was wavering on 4 or 5 stars, but chose 5 because my experience was great. Keep in mind a got a pretty standard men's haircut. Went in on a Saturday afternoon a few weeks after Covid restriction lifting and no customers so the woman in the blue jeans with the blue flowered shirt in the one picture on Yelp pointed to a chair and cut my hair.
