My daughter and I had a lovely Friday lunch here several weeks ago. The restaurant itself is classy and has beautiful European decor with lots of greenery. There's a patio which would be very pleasant when the weather gets warmer. The food was outstanding! Seafood empanadas for appetizers, with salmon, shrimp and lobster, with a side of fresh guacamole and red cabbage coleslaw which not only tasted fresh and delicious but made for a visually appealing plate! Cocktails are generous and perfect! Our entrees were the shrimp and grits which were unique with an almost Asian sauce and very attractively plated! Not to mention DELICIOUS!!! We brought home desserts of tiramisu, sticky toffee cake and a complementary banana cheesecake all of which were amazing. A touch pricey for an everyday lunch maybe more for a special date night and I'd definitely return for a celebration or special occasion! read more

A great new addition to Oxford, CT! A beautiful, upscale restaurant with a great interior. The staff was exceptional and super kind. The menu varied from sandwiches to flatbreads, steaks to pasta. There is something surely anyone will enjoy. The maraschino flatbread is a unique dish which I was excited to try. The balsamic cherry glaze was sweet and paired well with the goat cheese and walnuts. The burrata was fantastic and the tuna tartar was fresh and tasty. Cozy atmosphere and friendly staff. We came for dinner on a Saturday night with a reservation that was very easy to make on Resy via their website. The menu had a variety of options, while being concise. We shared a pear salad and the kitchen was kind enough to split that for us. The lamb chops were breaded with a delicious capers sauce. The mashed potatoes were an absolute dream. The burrata ravioli was served with a pesto sauce and surprisingly filling. The bread was warm and endless with the most delicious sweet butter! We finished with a banana Foster's that was shareable. Even the hibiscus cocktail was delicious! I look forward to returning. read more

Unfriendly server who sat at us a table never offered us bread and was a bit cold the entire time. Don't order the salads , they were dry. The pasta was really good. The ambiance is okay, but it felt really rushed. I saw a sever almost knock into someone because they were walking so fast. The young hostess knocked down my purse from the chair as she ran to clear a table. She didn't even realize, but it didn't seem ok. Overall it was a bit of a hostile and cramped environment to be in on a Saturday evening. My only nice experience was the bartender, an older gentleman was extremely nice and attentive. read more

Ambiance- good size table but sadly in the corner near the entrance, the great service and food made this our smallest concern of the night. Food: brisket papperadelle- some of the best pasta I have ever had! Absolutely amazing! Cookie lava cake (not pictured) a tad dry but still a fun take on a dessert and chocolatey goodness. I'm in love with this new spot. The interior is very cozy while elegant. I sat at the bar and had exceptional service. Both bartenders were charismatic and attentive. The menu has a good mix of handhelds, sharable appetizers and meat, seafood or pasta main dishes. I tried two specials which were bacon wrapped chicken bites in a pepper sauce as well as fried burrata. Both were flavorful. The dessert was the best part. But, have to mention I thought they were a little slow with drinks, plus they had different waiters come to us, each had a different task. Example: one guy dropped off food, one guy picked up empty plates, one guy took food order, and when we asked for drink refills from one waiter, another waiter came back to retake the refill drink order. It was hard to keep track of which waiter to order drinks from, or which waiter to order food from. That was a little weird and confusing to me. Food: They gave bread and butter to start, the butter was really good. I had the hangar steak. Ordered medium rare. It came out medium rare. Perfect. The mashed potatoes were great. I'd definitely order that meal again. Food came out really fast. Drinks were on the slow side, had to get one of the waiters attention for refills. Nice variety of IPAs. The friends I was with did not like their cocktails. Ambiance: Went on a cool summer evening and sat outside. It was very nice. No bugs or anything bothering us. Next time I'll sit inside because it looked really cool with modern rustic farmhouse type of decor. Cost: Average for the type of place they are going for. Attire: For men, nice jeans and polo would be good. You might be out of place with shorts and t shirt. Not to say you can't wear that, but everyone else was dressed in a business casual style. Nice addition to a very good Oxford restaurant scene. This is a step up from other excellent family restaurants in town. Have been there twice - once for a celebratory meal and once for drinis. First the bar. Good selection of wines by the glass and a very creative cocktail menu. Their signature cocktails are made with quality liquors and upgraded ingredients, well crafted and presented. I had the the black walnut Manhattan. Delicious right down to the cherry. Bartender knew his craft and explained various drinks that we asked about. Good recommendations for my wife and an off menu pear basil martini. Perfect choice! First visit meal for my birthday. Very professional service. Not effusive or overdone but knowledgeable and confident. Recommendations were spot on. Wine service was correct and what you would expect from a fine dining establishment. The servers knew their job and were kids learning but lnew their trade. I had the short rib papardelle which was excellent and sizeable. My daughter enjoyed her skirt steak. Staff was around but not hovering - as they should be. Great experience and a nice upgraded experience for a town with a very competitive restaurant scene. Not a budget choice but in line with other places locally. Does not disappoint. Interior is attractive and inviting. The whole crew is not new to the restaurant biz and it shows. My husband and I arrived last Friday evening around 6pm w no reservations & were promptly greeted and sat! Such a nice surprise. The restaurant is lovely inside. Love the decor. Sorry , was having such a nice time I only took one pic. The wait staff are so attentive & kind. The food was lovely too! I got the beet & goat cheese salad w grilled salmon added for protein and it was so good. The dill sauce provided, delicious. My husband got the flank steak and he enjoyed it as well. Nice place to go and have a drink. The parking lot is terrible. The Inside was very appealing and had a welcoming atmosphere. Ordered a flatbread and a salad. Flatbread was good and everything was fresh. Salad was fresh but was bit under dressed for my liking. I added salmon to the salad and it was overcooked and under seasoned. The servers were fantastic and very attentive. They really saved the experience for me. I really liked this place and want to see it work. I would go back and give them another chance. read more

We enjoyed a late Valentine's Day dinner at Morea and were blown away by the experience. Small, intimate, and moody, this restaurant really brought the romance to the table! Our meal consisted of Oyster's Rockefeller, Salmon, and Hanger Steak. Every dish was delicious. I was a big fan of the cheese on the oysters! Bread was provided and the butter was a perfect, smooth blend of sweet and savory. My husband enjoyed what was probably the BEST martini he'd ever tasted (the Dubai chocolate martini) -- great for those seeking a flavor blast of chocolate, vanilla, and pistachio. For dessert we shared a sticky toffee cake. Everything was wonderful. We really had no complaints. Our server was very attentive but not overbearing. It was slow paced fine dining, not your typical kitchen-to-table rush. We were able to enjoy every aspect of our meal from drinks to dessert without any sense of urgency to finish, get up, and go.
