I have been to this theater countless times. The admission prices can't be beat. I don't often get food but when I do it's good. I will say from my daughter having been in the theater management years ago cost goes like this. The money made from the admission is what pays for the movie for them to get. The concession is what is used to pay things like rent, employee's and essentials. Having said that I really enjoy this place. Contrary to what some other reviews say it is ALWAYS clean. I have never seen the rest rooms closed, maybe a stall once in awhile yet it is always clean. It doesn't have a large staff but that goes with the amount of business they get. So many people stream the theaters are on the decline but I love the theater experience. I have seen it packed but have never run into a rude or unruly customer. Like anything else if people don't support local businesses they disappear then you will say remember when we used to see movies in a theater. It was and is fun. I really like they don't always play only 1 type of movies. They might have 1 or 2 kids movies but also a few adults would like. Probably the worst movie theater in all of the US... most people who posted saying this place was clean are probably staff...the place is a mess ..the seats are filthy..your feet stick to the floor...they are so cheap they cant even set up a proper box office and you have to buy tickets next to the over priced concession stand...the sound system is horrible as are the screens...better off traveling to Lex or Huntington rather then frequent this hillbilly theater...better yet just stream at home. read more

This cinema has been here a long time and it has a industrial, warehouse feeling. But it is clean, the workers are friendly, and we had no issue/problems with the seats. The sound system was loud and the internal A/C was working well. This is just an average movie theater and we had a good visit. read more

If I could give a zero I would. Some people just take their jobs too serious this person was one of them. It was dirty and the food's horrible. The manager had awful manners. Most of the bathrooms were closed, the ones that were open was dirty. I had to go across the street to use the restroom. read more

Parking is easy as it has its own lot. Price is 8.50 for an evening ticket(which is not bad) At the end of the day it is not terrible but it is not great either. The theater is old and a tad run down, seats smell like they have been there a while, screen quality and sound was ok for an old movie theater. Also our movie was to start at 9:35pm but did not end up going on until 9:55pm as they forgot to turn it on. The two young men working ticket and concessions were wonderful. The lady who act like she was in charge was rude and unpleasant.

Just your average movie theater. The theatre that I went into was not cleaned real well before I got there. The sound quality is good and the picture looks fine. The prices are average. They do provide half price refills on the soda. They provide a military discount also. read more

This is the only movie theater in Rowan county- so they have a pretty good corner on the market, especially in a college town. That being said, they still make it a great experience. The seats are comfortable, the theaters and lobby are always clean. I feel like the sound and picture quality is top notch. They charge a little over for popcorn- but what theater doesn't?? The popcorn still tastes good. I live in Louisville, but I will drive two hours there and back to see a movie with family in town. Especially if I'm staying the weekend. I never feel that this theater is lacking compared to theaters where I live. In fact, the tickets are so much cheaper here it's worth it to wait to go see something with the fam. read more

Cinema 6 The prices here are so reasonable or better yet : amazing. Seriously. 7.50 for an adult is the highest price (after 6pm). I paid 5.50 to see a new release movie on xgiving eve at 5pm. I'm used to shelling out like 11 bucks to see a movie after noon. Not much in the selection department, but they saved xgiving by providing some type of entertainment. With a place to get beer next door, this little area is an oasis. read more

I have always liked the cinema. It is not fancy, and before 6 PM ticket prices are only $5.50. The lobby is very plain, but the theaters are very clean, and they have stadium seating, so you don't feel piled on top of each other. Even the snacks have a decent price for a movie theater. The staff is rude. I'm originally from a different state. The movie theatres where I lived allowed us to bring in our own food and drinks and wouldn't make us throw them away. We were running late and ran in(didn't know it said anything on the doors) So we bought some coffee right before we went in and he expected us to know it wasn't allowed and treated us very rudely.. even though I said we just bought them 5 minutes ago he expected us to throw them away. The small popcorn is $11.00 we didn't buy it but everything is way over priced besides seating prices. Do yourself a favor get a huge purse make your own popcorn for $1 and get your own drinks for $3 at the gas station and put them in your bag. read more

We would come in from out of state (South Carolina) to visit the outlaws up north in Kentucky and going to the movies during those times meant driving all the way to Mt Sterling or even Winchester! When we heard Morehead finally had their own we (to be honest) didn't really expect much. But it has proven to be clean, comfortable, having both good sound and picture and the staff has always been friendly, welcoming and helpful to us...in some rather trying times with large young crowds, without any seeming loss of control or good humor. What is also a plus for us being out in the country south or east of town is that you don't have to go through that pass to get to the Interstate and Wally World country and it's traffic and congestion to have a simple afternoon or night out. So we could relax with the birds and cows at Grandma's and, with only a very short drive, still get a taste of civilzation without feeling like we'd been dunked into a metro hell-hole. It helps to have a few places in walking distance to eat sitting down as well. Location, Location, Location. Kudos! read more
