Easy to schedule an appointment. Very fast service. Only challenge is depending on what navigation system you're using they may direct you to an entrance where there's no signage as to how to get there. If coming from /off San Pedro there's plenty of signage directing you where to go. read more

CASH ONLY! I walked into the shop and asked the owner (Alex) if he could perform the smog test for my car. He said there would be a 20-minute wait, which was perfectly fine since I hadn't booked an appointment. True to his word, he took my car in right on time. The waiting area felt incredibly welcoming and cozy, a great spot to relax while you wait. The facility is clean and inviting, featuring a snack table with coffee, tea, hot chocolate, all kinds of snacks, cookies, chips, and even ramen! The comfortable couches by the TV area playing game shows made the time fly by. The smog test process took about 15-20 minutes, and for my sedan, the total was $60. This is the second time I've been here for a smog check and it's a pretty painless experience. I made an appointment and was in and out in about a half hour. The price is still $60 even a few years later for my sedan which is a nice surprise considering the cost of everything has gone up. Some other reviewers say the location is tough to find but they must live in some fantasy land. There's a sign when you enter pointing you in the direction to go followed by another sign. It's not difficult. If you can't see the sign, maybe you shouldn't be driving. lol read more

Wow! Friendly, fast, knowledgeable! Fast too! Showed up one afternoon and only waited 30 minutes. There was a steady stream of customers but it wasn't crowded. They also offer a very comfortable lounge with WiFi and water/coffee available. Will definitely be back for more smog checks. read more

"SMUGGGGG"! as my fellow compadre said to me. I laughed at the way he pronounced the word "smog." We were both standing outside the Morgan Hill Smog, both just shooting the breeze while Alex, the owner and smog-master-incarnate, was working on my new friend's car. That's how it feels here at Morgan Hill Smog Test: it feels like home. Next door to the shop is a section of the rented space that houses the baddest mancave (and I don't mean that as it's only open to men, it was just the first word that came to my mind) this side of the Delaware. I mean, geeze Louise! You could fit a HORSE in there! (I'm aware that many places could fit a horse and that this description isn't really adequate, but hey, you're the one reading my review, so, deal with it :P) The hang out spot is for customers to chillax, fitted with copious amounts of snacks (including a popcorn machine!), drinks, and various furniture to lounge in while you wait for your car to get checked for smog. I had such a great experience here that I actually ended up hanging out for an extra hour and a half after my smog was completed, just shooting the breeze with various customers and friends of Alex's. Alex himself is chill as h-e-double hockey sticks and I told him I would come back to smog my other two cars. A++ service and can't wait to smog again (something you'll never hear someone say!) FYI: be sure to bring cash or a check. Annoying maybe? But so worth it. If you are coming from Monterey Road turn left at the big gates and follow the signs to the right. Your navigation will take you a little past the gates. This is my second visit to this Smog station. The staff is always courteous professional and friendly. The facility is clean and they made the waiting areas comfortable and friendly with a tv to watch while you wait. They even have a cute area for smokers. I had the same issue as last time and lost the paperwork for my aftermarket intake. They needed paperwork that showed it is California compliant. I totally forgot. But they informed me how to quickly get the information from the company. I won't forget again.... But the tech was patient and still took my vehicle that had an appointment without making me schedule again. I definitely recommend this facility. read more
