Small town diners. Every one of them is their own kind of quirky.
Morning Glory in the tiny town of Bennett (pop. approx. 300) is no exception. It's a space with Five booths, one table and enough floor space from one side to the other for dancing (but it doesn't seem that kind of place) or more likely, town meetings without having to move any furniture. The wait staff gets a workout with the walk from the kitchen to the tables.
The menu is as basic as you can get. So is the food. What you get here is plain fare, sustenance only, and a tiny little slice of life in a small town community. The wait staff knows everyone who walks in and is sometimes calling the order back to the kitchen by the name of the person, rather than the food order itself.
No cell service here (but there is wi-fi), except for one woman who was calling her mama about being ready for something and a gentleman two tables away asking how she got cell service. Her response was something about her being special, and then they both laughed.
There's a drive-thru for those who can't stop. A drive thru? The quirky factor is pushing this place off the charts.
