Just had my 6 month cleaning and dental hygienist Nicola did such a great job as always. She is gentle yet thorough and listens and also answers all questions while educating the patient on best practices. My pearly white teeth feel so good and clean and the coffee stain that was developing is gone. When I called over the phone and asked if my insurance was taken here Cigna ADVANTAGE ,the receptionist told me yes , which is not true. Its only Cigna not ADVANTAGE , so I don't get the full benofits here. Then when I was done with my procedure I had questions for the ortho and i felt pushed out , only to then find out my procedure couldn't be done here for braces because of the insurance coverage benefits thats I was under the impression I would receive here. Then I called and asked for my X-ray the receptionist told me I could come back in and pick them up, I would just have to come back. When I get back she told me I would have then e-mailed to me. I started treatent there in March of 2019. I was interested in an implant and Invisalign. I needed a number of other things done beforehand so I got those taken care of... fast forward to December of 2019. I finally got to a point where I was ready to start Invisalign and the implant would be addressed throughout the course of that treatment. I arrive on my appointment date ready to start my Invisalign and they tell me the total amount of the Invisalign treatment was due at that moment, over $6,000. Initally, I was told and agreed that I'd pay monthly and even given a figure of what that payment would be. The doctors are great but that didn't seem right and it wasn't the first time that they weren't clear about how much something would cost. There was another instance earlier on in my treatment process where I considered only getting the implant. When discussing the implant process and costs I got a price of 2K... then when I called ready to book the appointment they tell me its 5K. I was satisified with the quality of work at that point so I continued to come here but after that fiasco with the invisalign, I'm going elsewhere. Dr.Holtzman, Dr. Su and the two dental hygenists I saw while I was going there were amazing. The office is great and everyone is really nice for the most part. The place is pretty big despite what it looks like it from outside. It is also very clean. I like that they have tvs in the rooms. Because let's be honest, being in a dentist is not pleasant. I have been a patient at Morris Park Dental for over 10 years, and I have always been pleased as a patient there, but today the staff went above and beyond. I expressed to the staff that I was in a rush because my daughter had a cheer competition. My daughter and I each received x-rays, a dental cleaning and a thorough examination in a little over an hour. I am used to quality care, but today the staff was extra courteous, demonstrated a sense of urgency and was just very accommodating. This includes everyone from check-in to check out. After years of neglecting my teeth, my worst fear happened--a broken tooth followed by pain! Not only was this my worst fear, it was happening in the middle of a pandemic (mid May) where hardly ANY business was open!! Ahhhh!! I googled and found this dental office and luckily they were taking emergency only appointments. From the very first contact, PROFESSIONALISM and COURTESY were shown from not just the dentists, but from EVERY ONE in the office!! Usually front desk staff are workers unhappy, grumpy and plain ole miserable but to date, every single time I've gone, they have been EXCELLENT! Because my first visit was so comforting, I decided to start this journey of a healthy mouth! I'm taking care of SEVERAL cavities (8!!), 1 root canal and FOUR extractions (wisdom teeth). Every appointment (minus when it's time to pay lol) has been AWESOME. I have never looked forward to going to the dentist and now I KIND OF do! The dentist I'm seeing is Dr. Elias. He works very quickly, professional and so far, has always been on time! He is very informative and great with keeping my nerves down during any procedures! So far he has done 1 full root canal and crown, two of the four wisdom extractions and 4 fillings. I still have four more fillings to go, two extractions and then a cosmetic front tooth repair (which will result in another root canal and a crown or something). My visit today was with the hygienist, Nicole (I hope that's her name! Sorry if its not)... EXCELLENT!! She explained everything to me, recommended a product (waterpik) and explained how to properly care for my teeth. So far, my experience has been phenomenal and I highly recommend them! They do take insurance but it seems as though they balance bill for both in and out of network so if you're going to go here, definitely call and find out all the kinks! I'll update again once everything is done and I'm on my semi annual cleaning routine! I hope my experience continues to be positive throughout my next few visits because if not, I WILL jump Ship because I'm BIG on service!! read more

If I could give ten stars I would first the front desk girls are all awesome and very pleasant and professional I was told what was needed to be done and my insurance had a max of $3000 and where as my first dentist was unwilling to work with me MPD did they broke my procedures up in parts so that my coverage covered all the work and my dentist is the best I have ever had had to stop procedure a few times due to he keeps you laughing but I would recommend them any day. read more

I have only been a patient since the summer of 2017 and I find the level of care excellent. I have done a root canal and implants and all has occurred with use of sedation which these days is hard to come by. Their caring front office and support staff are excellent too. First Of like to say I only placed a star because it seemed required to send this post. On January 12, 2017, due to taking a terrible fall having to be rushed to the hospital emergency room the night before. Having suffered from minor head trama and deep laceration to my mouth. I searched Google for an Emergency Dental Care near my location. At around 1:15 pm I came across Morris Park Emergency Dental. I made the call to its office. The call was received by a courteous receptionist who informed me that their office did not accept my insurance. After acknowledging this I informed her that it wouldn't be a good idea if I make an appointment for a free emergency consultation. The reception seemed very reassuring when informing me that she can still place me on the list for a 2:00pm emergency appointment, that the free consultation would result in me being made aware of my condition. So I made my way to the location. The observation of my teeth was made by their dentist, who simply pulled my tooth. He quickly informed me that it was fractured, would need a root canal also a crown. Follwing this free consultation I was informed that I would be charged money for an X-ray, which I hardly remember. I was pressured by the Dr then ushered into an office in my state to be pressured further by business office staff. For charges, after informing them of the conversation I had with the receptionist. That conversation did not seem to matter simply because I didn't remember her name. These charges I was not made aware of. I was not made aware of this. The following day I visited my Dentist at NYU Dental to find that I did not have a fracture. That my tooth was healing and no other treaments necessary. I plan to post a report on Yelp believing I was mislead and surely an unprofessionally examination and diagnosis. Entrapment due to my physical condition all for the sake of making a profit. I needed a tooth pulled i paid $400.00 dollars. I know i over paid however i was in pain and i would have had to pay them $100.00 just to be seen as an emergency patient. Somewhat clean facility and all the young ladies were very professional. But if i didnt ask what was the dentist name i would have never known, he didnt present himself to me. When I first started with this place. I thought the dentist and staff were great. But the problem I had was with payments. They would tell me my part would be a certain amount and I would paid it right at that moment. When I would go back for my follow up there always seem to be a balance. Extremely disappointed in what was supposed to be a good service recommendation by a very close friend of mine. Obviously the office doesn't want new clients. First I had to call them 3 times to make an appointment as if I was begging them to see me. Then I had to wait for more than 1 hour and a half just to be told that there was no specialist available that day for what I was asking for. I was seen by Dr Holtzman, who was very rude and somehow verbally abusive. I don't have words to describe her attitude. I left the office without being helped after spending 2 hours in vain. I had the best experience as a patient of Dr. Natalie Baker. Nicola cleaned my teeth first. They have never felt cleaner. She had some great advice about the care of my gums. Easy to incorporate into my life advise. Dr. Baker was able to fix my tooth pain with a crown. Now I have no pain at all. Good, because I was becoming a grouch. Tis not the season for that. The female dentist I saw my first visit was so rude..she gave me an exam and I was asking her a question and didn't understand her response because she was talking on her cell phone and not to me. The hygienist was good but moody and not easy to talk to. I got stuck in traffic on my way to my second cleaning even after the terrible first experience and I called and explained I would be either ten minutes late or I can reschedule if they didn't want to wait the receptionist told me they weren't willing to wait for me so wanted to reschedule my appointment and she wouldn't reschedule me. She told me she would call me back to make the appointment...I went to another dentist in the mean time and I'm still waiting for the call. Worst office. I found Morris park dental through Google search looking for dentist that use sedation as part of their treatments boom found it. I called the office and the receptionist was so helpful and she made me feel very at ease she explain that I could just start with a cleaning to ease me and it was the best idea. The day of my appointment everything went great I received an X-ray and then saw my dentist she was also great. The waiting area is a bit small for the busy days but doctors and staff are very friendly and keep you entertained. The wait times for cleaning appt maybe long but the staff keep you in mind and try to accommodate you as best as they can. I love Dr. Wolfsson and this practice. They're very knowledgeable with a superior skill set so it's worth a visit from Westchester. I've been to a number of dentists in NYC, White Plains, and New Rochelle and I'm relieved to have found them. After I left an excellent practice in NYC (It was just too far to go to anymore), I tried some others and one dentist drilled on a cavity and turned it into a root canal! I will never go back to Morris Park Dental- it started with a routine filling and ended with a crown. The dentist put in a temporary filling knowing I'd have to come back. Upon my return I was told I needed a root canal and once that was done and a week of pain- a crown was needed. Now I'm told to save the tooth it can be re-done or take the tooth out. Dr. Elias was rough and the pain was too much. I went back after the filling and explained the pain and was told to get an a pain medication and come back the following day which I did. Worst mistake ever. The tooth is now twice the size and it hurts to chew. And I owe them hundreds of dollars. But they did recommend someone else- what a joke. read more

I chipped my front tooth and I needed to have a root canal. I told the dentist what plan I had and he told me that " I had a bottom of the barrel plan." I told him that it is what it is & can he do the job? He said that he could, but then he started saying that A, B & C would need to be done also. I told him that I just needed my tooth fixed, then he started to tell me that I would need a higher quality type of replacement & unfortunately the insurance will only pay for the work to be done. He then tells me that he could do the job if I would pay out of pocket the difference. I apologized and said we have to stay within the plan. He then said "I'm sorry, but I don't do that type of work" & referred me to a place that takes Medicade. After waiting more than two weeks, I still need the work done. He is a dr that cares more about money, than the patient. read more

On October 10th 2019 I went to Morris Park dental for an emergency visit. I had broken a tooth and I was going to a wedding on October 13th. For me to say I have a great fear of dentist is an understatement. Dr. Elena Holtzman. I explained to her my fear and also I needed something by Friday. She gave me my options with cost. I chose to extract the tooth. Jeanette the dental assistant. Was so friendly and professional she made sure that my expression for the tooth was done correctly. They understood taking another day off of work wasn't an option. The receptionists are beyond exceptional. They gave me an appointment for the next day in the evening , not causing me to lose another day of work. The day of the extraction I was able to get through it because of Jeanette. She was patient with me and held my hand and said I could do it. "Sorry if i squeezed it to hard. " Dr. Daniel Narain who did extraction he was patient with me and didn't get frustrated and didn't give up on me. A big thank you to Jeanette and Dr Narain for your patience and professionalism. On Friday the day of the wedding they gave 9am appointment Dr Holtzman had my partial ready and took the time to make sure it fit properly was not rushed out. I was more than satisfied with the partial. I want to say a big thank you to Dr Holtzman as well. I was able to go to the wedding with confidence. All this place was interested in was making money and no care for the patient. I went here on New Year's Eve in a lot of pain, the dentist told me that I would need a root canal and a crown just alot of work basically just to take my cash. So fine does the root canal apparently, I go home no pain for a few hours as I'm numb. As soon as the the anesthesia wears off I'm in more discomfort than I went in there with. So as they were closed and it was 10pm I had to go to a emergency dentist to get the tooth taken out, the dentist that I seen at that night showed me on the xrays and pictures there was no root canal done at all and there was an abbess under the tooth. So I called them to let them know this and they refunded my money for the root canal that wasn't done or partially done they say. So if your thinking of going here don't waste your time or your hard earned money as that is all they seem interested in. read more

The doctors' technologies are sucks. When they fill your teeth, they can not even make it smooth. I always have food stuck in the gap after they filled my two connected teeth. They always overcharge you. Their cashier can not even calculate the number clear. I was overcharged $100, and I have to call them many times and went to their office 3 times for that. They don't want to give your money back. That's my money! They tell you their doctors are in network and you insurance will cover most fee. But no. They have a lot of out network doctors and items. If you are not aware, you will lost a lot of money, such as me...They will send your samples to a out of network laboratory and you have to pay a few hundred dollars yourself. They sucks! I refuse to even give this a one star rating. This office is full of scammers, do not go by their word, and entrapment you into services that are not necessary. I paid over $4000 for a top denture. The quality of the denture is a 1 on a scale of 1-10. It has cracked in half, has had rough edges causing my gum to become irritated and all they did was put in a metal bar through the top of the denture to hold it in place. I demanded that all future repairs be made at no cost which was agreed upon. When I went for my last repair I was told I need a realignment. When I called to make an appointment I asked if there was a charge for this service. I was told NO. When I called to confirm my appointment I asked again and was told there would be NO charge. I went to the appointment, sat in the chair, and a woman comes in and tells me the cost is $540. I told her that I will not pay that and was told twice there was no charge. She said hold on a minute and came back with a lower figure. I told her forget it and proceeded to get up and leave. She kept lowering the price! Needless to say I LEFT. Please do your research before going to Morris Park Dental. They are not trustworthy. read more

Horrible experience with this dental practice. My mother went in for a tooth extraction earlier this week and had a very painful experience. The numbing agent administered had no effect. The dentist gave about three injections. But, because she was scared about developing an adverse reaction from several injections, she asked that he continue with the extraction with no additional pain relief. Afterward, he prescribed an antibiotic and pain medication. A receptionist took down my mother's information and the nearest pharmacy to our home. The next day, I went with her to pick up the medication and it was never filled. In pain, she drove back to Morris Park Dental and was basically given the run-around. "Oh, the doctor isn't in today but he can call you today. We'll call you." The dentist's name wasn't on the receipt and they refused to give her the dentist's name when she went to the office (probably because they know I'd include it in this review). If a dentist provides a service to a patient, why wouldn't that patient be entitled to know the dentist's name upon asking? Four hours later, no call back. I called on my mother's behalf explaining that she has an infection and needs to start the antibiotic regimen before it gets worse and asked them to send the prescription script to the pharmacy. ANOTHER receptionist who "wasn't there this morning and has no idea" told me that everyone is out to lunch and...their famous line "we'll call you." At this point, this is completely ridiculous and POOR, POOR patient care. Their actions showed me that once they have your money, they could care less about you. They are located in a good area in the Bronx but it's no indication of the quality of care you can expect to receive from them. Ultimately, my mother had to go there a second time today. They had all kinds of pathetic excuses as to why no one called us and clarified the issue. Then, they finally sent the prescription in. My mother will never return to this place again and I will never recommend this place to anyone. read more

Went here a few times and without taking X-rays they told me I had three cavities. And my insurance would not cover it. Tried to charge me over a thousand dollars to fill "three" cavities. I went to another dental office in the Bronx and was charged $15 dollars copay with my insurance to fill one cavity. After they did X-rays and checked my mouth. Ok, so my real problem is with billing and not necessarily the service, however this billing issue has caused me such headaches and distress. Back in 2012, yes I said 2012 I received services from this place. A provided them with my insurance info and kept it moving. A few months later I received a bill indicating that they did not receive payment from my insurance. I contacted my insurance and they stated that the NPI number they received from the office was inaccurate. I called billing at Morris Park Dental and explained to them why they hadn't received payment. The representative assured me that she would contact them with the correct information. A few weeks later I got a call from the same rep, asking me the same question as if we had never had the initial conversation. I went through it all over again and explained that they sent the wrong NPI number. She once again, assured me that she would correct the info. A month or so later, I received a letter in the mail indicating that they would be sending my bill to collections. I immediately called the office and spoke to a different person who indicated that they did update the NPI number with the insurance but did not receive payment. I contacted the insurance and they stated that the the NPI number that they gave was not for the Doctor that provided my service and in addition, the date of service was wrong....whaaaat?!?! I contacted Morris Park Dental yet again and I was told they would look into it and forward the correct information. For months after, I continued to receive calls and letters from them as if I had been ignoring prior calls/correspondence. Each time I called them and updated them as to the situation and that they hadn't received payment because it was THEIR ERROR. Almost a year later, everything finally gets resolved. I confirm with both insurance and Morris Park Dental that everything has been paid in full. GUESS WHAT??!? Here we are April 2016 ( 4 years after my service date) and I just got a letter from a collection agency indicating that an outstanding bill was forwarded to them for collection. I am so furious that I have to go through this all over again!!!!! Due to my ordeal with billing, I would never go there again nor refer anyone to them. read more

I've come to this office a few times and the front desk people are very courteous, but I can't say the same for Dr. Holtzman. Every time I've gone to see her, I've been full of anxiety and frustration because her bedside manner leaves me with a bad taste in my mouth. (No pun intended). The last time I went, the appointment went okay, until I began suffering pain on my upper right side of my gums. My mouth began to swell up, and I began to get what would feel like a sinus headache. I've mentioned to this doctor that my gums are very sensitive, but she continued to tell me that I wasn't in pain and that I shouldn't feel anything. I called the office several times to see if she can prescribe something for the pain, and I was told to take Tylenol, but I had already taken six of them during the course of the day. I began to get a migraine, but no one ever called me back from the office and was never prescribed anything. Since I was never happy with her bedside manner, I will never return. She spoke to me like I was a child, and told ME that I wasn't in pain. I found another dentist who was kind enough to see me last minute, and helped me out. NEVER AGAIN! Then she had the nerve to scold someone in front of me in her office...smh. I'm already suffering anxiety sitting in her chair, I didn't need the added stress. Good riddens. read more

Can I just say, I've been back at it again with Morris Park Dental. I've not worked with any other dentists but Dr. Holtzman and she is incredible. She is gentle, knowledgeable and kind. The staff is amazing. Hygienists Nikola and Rosetta are the absolute best and I always leave with my teeth gleaming! X-Ray Tech Tanya totally had everything under control and put me at ease.
