Yes, it took me 39 years to return to Ezell's, but it was well worth it. While stationed there at Fort Benning back in 1986-1987 for school and my final duty assignment, a fellow soldier friend insisted on taking my wife and me to dinner. It was so delicious that I vowed to return one day. And yes, I've been back to Columbus on several occasions, but never found the time to patronize Ezell's again. But I did this time, and it was just like I remembered it. Oh, and did I mention it was busy with locals?
