Dickie Brennan's was the perfect choice for celebrating a friend's 50th birthday, and the entire evening was exceptional from start to finish. We had a lovely private dining room, which made the night feel intimate and special without being stuffy. It was ideal for a celebration where you want to relax, laugh, and actually hear each other talk. Our server, Miguel, truly made the night. He was attentive, warm, knowledgeable, and genuinely cared about our experience. He offered thoughtful recommendations and made the whole table feel welcomed and well taken care of. Service like that really stands out. The food was outstanding across the board. Highlights included the oyster appetizers, perfectly fried onion rings, and a flavorful crab cake. My 16oz NY strip, done Oscar style, was excellent. Cooked perfectly and incredibly rich. The potatoes au gratin and cream of spinach were classic, indulgent steakhouse sides done exactly right. They also have a great selection of cocktails and whiskeys, which was a big hit at the table. Dessert sealed the deal. The chocolate cake was rich, moist, and absolutely worth saving room for. Between the food, the private dining space, and Miguel's top-tier service, Dickie Brennan's delivered a memorable night and reminded us why New Orleans dining is so special. Highly recommend for celebrations or a special night out.

Stopped in for a dinner on a bachelor trip after finding good reviews. Upon entry, the feel of the restaurant provides that classic steak house vibe, upscale yet inviting, going down into the dining room from street level provides a comforting "homie" feel. Service was wonderful, our server was very attentive, and interactive. Ensuring we were well taken care of all night. Unfortunately, we left feeling the quality and flavor of the food was lacking. Though there were some highlights, the beef Wellington was flavorful though slightly overcooked past medium rare as requested. The porterhouse, cooked to a perfect medium rare was bland, lacking flavor. The sides were run of the mill, soggy vegetables, tasting and appearing like they are cooked in large batches and scooped onto the plate, not made to order and apparently sitting around for a while. Overall, it was a middle of the road experience, not at the top of my list to return, but if you are looking for a more upscale, dinner in a pinch right off bourbon street, it's worth the stop.

My husband and I went to NOLA for our honeymoon and Dickie Brennan's was our first spot after we checked in. We came on a Tuesday and had reservations and was seated immediately. We initially already planned to order the tomahawk since it comes with all the sides but unfortunately, they ran out so we went with the chateaubriand. I loved the presentation and all the sides it came with. The steak was still good and tender, we just never tried it before so it was a nice change. It also came with three sauces which was heavenly as my husband and I are big sauce people. The peppercorn was definitely our favorite sauce and the au gratin potatoes were delicious as well. We didn't finish everything and had it boxed up but we ordered Mac and cheese in the beginning and they seemed to have forgotten it. We asked to have it removed but our server had it packed up on the house which was nice. Overall, the pricing is really good and the food was delicious. I'd definitely be back and service was phenomenal as well. Giving 4 stars because I'm not sure what happened with the Mac and cheese, whether it was just taking a while or they forgot it, and was still sad they ran out of tomahawk for a 7:30pm dinner on a Tuesday.

Made reservations for an anniversary dinner. We were not disappointed. We started our evening with the complementary French bread and butter. Absolutely delicious. For appetizer we went with the shrimp cocktail. Nothing spectacular but still good.. We both had steaks for our entrées. I had the filet mignon medium rare and it was perfect. My husband had the sirloin medium rare and loved it. As a side dish we had the au gratin potatoes. Always creamy and delicious. For dessert we had a wonderful homemade vanilla bean ice cream. Our table service was exemplary. Just what you expect from a Brennan's establishment. Kind cordial and efficient. We even had a sweet message to greet us at the table welcoming us for our anniversary. Very nice touch. We dined early in the evening, so things were still quiet while we were there. Toward the end of our dinner, mini Saints fans were coming in after the game. Definitely a loyal following to this wonderful establishment.

We went here with friends to end the work week on a high note. Upon entry of the restaurant the front desk staff pleasantly greeted us and invited us to view the lounge and dining area to decide on our seating preference. We decided to be seated in the dining room. Although it felt crowded as the tables were seemed crowded, but actually once you are seated they are spaced out appro If you are in search of delicious fine dining experience in New Orleans please give this restaurant a visit!

We recently went for a witches lunch which was so much fun! They had a dj and decorations. The menu was fixed and some specialty cocktails. The food was all very tasty! Service was a little off but it was an event so we understood. There was lots going on!

We had a dinner reservation nearby and after checking the limited, unexciting menu, my husband called Dickie Brennan's and asked if they could fit us in. They did and were happy to accommodate us, even though we were dressed casually. We definitely enjoyed our friendly server, Nigel L. and appreciated his recommendations and plus the fact that we mutually love our filets charred, medium rare. So the three of us (Mom too) had the exact same entree's. Petite Filets charred, med rare. They were all cooked to perfection. They weren't very petite! So flavorful! We shared creamed spinach and mushrooms. For dessert, Mom had their table side signature Bananas Foster flambé. We had our usual decaf Irish coffees. The three of us had a most wonderful and memorable dining experience. Even though there are so many great restaurants in New Orleans, we can't wait to go back to Dickie Brennan's and hope that Nigel L can wait on us again. But not only was Nigel great, so we're all the staff. This includes every single person who filled our water glasses, to the other servers we walked past.... We tried the Tribaut Champagne and it was so good, we'd have it again as well.

OMG! Dickie Brennan's never disappoints! We come to New Orleans every year for my birthday!! It was amazing. Rahim, our waiter, was exceptional!! Great personality & great service. He kept us entertained all evening!! Our drinks and food were so good. We split a Ceasar salad and large filet and baked potato. Steak was cooked perfectly. Everything was delicious. The chocolate cake was amazing. The Rahim brought us a scoop of vanilla ice cream with a chocolate crispy base. it was so good. Our table was decorated & they made me feel special for my birthday!!! Great restaurant, plenty of seating! We made reservations. Clean restrooms! Great place for celebrations!! We will be back!!

Crab Cake. I had started on it before the pic. It is almost all crab!

Where to start? From the moment you walk into Dickie's you know it's different than other French Quarter restaurants. The low lighting and professionalism of the staff tell you this is about to be special. They have one of the best crab cakes I've ever had and the Ribeye is very good as well. The crab cake seems like 95% crabmeat which you don't find often. Usually there's a lot of breading and filler, but not at Dickie's. These are the only two items I've had here and neither one disappointed. Lately when I come to New Orleans for a concert I usually just pop into the bar and order a crab cake and a cocktail.

The service was amazing! The food was pretty good too. I got the strip steak with creole butter and it was fantastic. My wife enjoyed the duck breast, but you come here for steak so get the steak. Rookie mistake on her part. Everything we ate was good and the drinks were fine too. We are close by so we will be back for sure.

This was a charming restaurant. We were served by Anthony. Plenty of seating but we opted for the high tables in the bar area. We ordered and shared a steak, wedge, Caesar salad, fries and mushrooms . So amazingly delicious! We were so full so we ordered coconut cake to go. Everything was delicious, we will definitely return!

My birthday is next week and we were looking to have a "nice" dinner while in town. During my "pre-trip" homework, I kept coming back to Dickie Brennan's Steakhouse. I asked our local guide during a food and drink stroll & he too recommended Dickie Brennan's Steakhouse. Reservations were easy to make through the website. We arrived a few minutes ahead of the reservation. We were warmly welcomed and told our table was would be ready momentarily. A few minutes later, we were seated. I checked "main dining" as the seating but we were seated in a side room. No biggie, it was nice in there with a group of 8-10 also seated in the room. The table seemed a little crowded with the menus, wine & water glasses, and cutlery. It did seem like there were table extensions folded under the table, but they were not being used. Our waiter was Marquis. He was nice, had a good attitude and sense of humor. We started with Crab Cakes & a Caesar salad for me. The ladies raved about the Crab Cake. No fluff there, all crab meat. I asked for no anchovies on the salad and they came with it. No biggie, it's only 2-3 and easy to remove. The dressing was a little lacking but Marquis was quick to bring me more. For entrees, we had a small filet, large filet & seared duck breast. My large filet was cooked perfectly, the medium I requested. My wife's small filet was unfortunately, over cooked. She requested medium but it was definitely closer to medium-well. The side of creamy mac & cheese was decent, not great. It wasn't as creamy as anticipated, I believe the noodles soaked up a bit of the cream sauce. All in all, it was a good meal. It didn't hit the marks due to the price, but it wasn't a bad meal.

I've never had crawfish and seeing it was crawfish season we were destined to be here. We built out our own seafood boil, which included, 1lb shrimp head off, 2 soft shell crab clusters, 1lb crawfish, corn, potato, and sausage. Let's just say we left with a pretty big leftovers box We ordered the hot house flavor and do not regret it one bit! Our server was so kind to show us how to peel and eat the crawfish and honestly it was so fun!! I will definitely be back next time in New Orleans!! One quick note I will say that I learned from a local that I wish I knew before this feast (And you should double check with staff if this info is correct). Most seafood boil places in the area when they have headless shrimp it is farmed and brought in from outside retailers where if you get head-on it's from local ships in the area/fresh caught. Apparently they've been struggling and if you want to support New Orleans local fisherman then go for the head-on shrimp. Again double check with staff if their head-on shrimp is local cuz I learned this information after visiting.

Took 30 min into the meal to receive the gumbo we ordered. Server would disappear for 20/30 min increments. As our meal we ordered snow crab slam - the shell was seasoned but meat was bland. Also tried the jumbo shrimp plate with fried rice, rice was very dry! Overall disappointing for 1st time in New Orleans. Ps. Restrooms were filthy!!!!
