    Oysters and Margarita

I enjoyed my visit to Seawitch. Nice atmosphere with dining available on the balcony. The margaritas and fresh oysters were a great happy hour treat. The server was sweet and accommodating as well.

Good was a 10/10. They oysters were hands down the BEST oysters I've ever had. The service was great especially being that it was Mother's Day and there was a packed house. The restaurant was very cute but not overly upscale but definitely had an upscale classy vibe. I would go again and again and again.

Stopped by Sea Witch and had such a fun experience overall. The atmosphere alone is worth the visit. The location on St. Charles is beautiful, and the restaurant itself feels very inviting, lively, and perfect for a relaxed New Orleans outing. I ordered the peach cocktail, oysters Rockefeller, crab poppers, and truffle fries. The peach drink was refreshing and perfectly balanced, not overly sweet and great for the warm weather. The oysters Rockefeller were absolutely delicious, rich, flavorful, and cooked just right. The truffle fries were also a standout, crispy with great seasoning and that indulgent truffle flavor. The only disappointment for me was the crab poppers. They were listed as fried, but the jalapeño inside still tasted very raw, which threw off the texture and overall flavor. Service was excellent, attentive, friendly, and welcoming without being overbearing. Overall, it is a great spot with a fun vibe, solid drinks, and mostly fantastic food. I would definitely return. I would just skip the poppers next time

Always looking for new places to eat and drink when we come to New Orleans and this year's jackpot was Seawitch!! Oh yes please-- they have an Oyster Program! Raw ones and creative chargrilled ones. And while you can buy them by the piece or half dozen, the best intro is one of the big samplers. Your server will help you select the best one for your current mood and then come back for your next mood. Large menu of things and extensive wine list plus creative cocktails. Very nice happy hour. Multi level, indoor and outside seating. Interesting art. I'd say it's a destination spot if you're not in the Garden District as it's right off the St Charles #12 street car.

    $1 oysters

I went here during the restaurant's happy hour (3 PM to 6 PM Monday to Friday) for the $1 raw gulf oysters. I ended up getting $36 worth of oysters, so needless to say, I enjoyed the oysters, which were fresh, plump, and big. The oysters came with lemon, crackers, horseradish, cocktail sauce, and a mignonette. My preferred way of eating an oyster is putting it on a cracker, squirting a little lemon juice on it, and dipping it in some cocktail sauce. Delicious! I also ordered the $10 seasonal frozen drink. I forgot exactly what it was - blueberry something? - but it was sweet and refreshing. I sat at the bar, and the bartender was a delight. He was friendly and made sure to keep my glass of water full. Note - if you pay with a credit card, it does come with a 3.5% fee, so cash is preferred.

Awesome spot, service and food! Tried several things and they were all really good. It is a great location and they even had a small band playing out in the courtyard.

    Classic chargrilled oysters

This was my first time here and I had never heard of Seawitch before so I didnt really have any expectations. My mother and I started with the classic chargrilled oysters, and they were fantastic. Unfortunately, everything after that was underwhelming. They were out of both the Grand Duck Confit that I wanted and the stuffed shrimp appetizer my mom ordered. I switched to the seafood gumbo, which was bland and lacked flavor. (Shame on me for ordering restaurant gumbo to begin with) I then exchanged it for the trout, but I wasn't impressed with that either. Something tasted off, I wasn't sure if it was the trout its self or the sauce it was covered but I didn't like it. The trout also came with potatoes but they were SEVERELY overcooked. For the price point, I expected a much better meal. The service was good however.

I've been slacking on reviewing lately, but I had to give this place a special shout out, because 6 months later it's still burned in my mind. The decor and ambience were kinda weird from first setting foot in the restaurant. Not bad weird mind you, but very unique. The staff was exceedingly nice with the chef himself at one point coming out to say hi. It all seemed super clean and proudly displayed all the hot sauces I enjoyed, though the food was perfectly seasoned and they didn't end up being necessary. I ordered what was essentially a flight of oysters, and within there contained the single best bite of food I may have ever had in my life; it was some kind of seasoned fried oyster with fish roe on top that I could have eaten 75 of. Everything I had there was great, but that single dish has been etched into my memory, the highest of recommendations to go there and try it out.

I saw so many good reviews about this place and wanted to love it but the chargrilled oysters had so many toppings you could hardly taste/see the oyster. The raw oysters were good size and fresh. We did come during happy hour so it was decently busy and a little slow coming out. They do have a large patio to enjoy the nice weather

We decided on Seawitch for lunch. We were the first to arrive and they seated us on the patio, which was perfect since we had two kids with us. We ordered lemon garlic butter chargrilled oysters, NOLA BBQ chargrilled oysters, and oyster Rockefeller. We also got the seafood gumbo and Cajun Pastalaya. And we got their harvest salad with grilled shrimp. I thought that their chargrilled oysters were really delicious. It's packed full of flavor but a little bit on the saltier side. The seafood gumbo was delicious and I loved the crabmeat and shrimp that was in it. The Cajun Pastalaya was rich and buttery. It had Andouille sausage, cochon, Gulf shrimp with penne pasta and a Cajun sauce. Since I was sharing with my toddler, they were kind enough to make the sauce from scratch and make it nonspicy so that he could eat too. The standout from our meal was the harvest salad. Romaine & butter lettuce with smoked bacon, avocado, roasted corn tossed in a buttermilk-creole dressing. We added grilled shrimp to make it an entrees I love the flavor. And the balance of a salad with all the Cajun flavors. I would highly recommend this place for your meal in New Orleans and it's perfect for happy hour too.

We visited for Happy Hour on Tuesday. Great oyster special, $1 each. Fresh, plump, yumm! Continued on to chargrilled, crab cakes, buffalo fried... all amazing. Blaine was super cool and gave excellent service. We visit NOLA regularly and will be back!

If you like oysters, this is your spot. They have a specialty raw oyster menu with different oysters from around the region. They also have unique chargrilled oysters like the crawfish etouffee oysters. The inside is cute. They have a cute happy hour menu that I want to go back and try. My friends ordered drinks and they really enjoyed their drinks. The server was Blaine? I think. He was full of energy and was very kind.

Crab cakes so awful, look like hamburger patties tasted like fish and dirt. Fries plain and nasty even with ketchup.

I tried The Sea Witch on Saint Charles for lunch and it was the worst meal I have had in New Orleans. The only decent thing about this place was the waiter. He was polite and professional. Everything else was a disaster. The crabcakes looked like hamburger patties, had no flavor, and were full of shells. I almost choked. The shrimp pasta was bland, the fries were plain even though they were advertised with Parmesan and oil, and even the old fashioned my friend ordered was bad. We paid nearly $80 and we should have returned everything but I did not want to make the staff feel bad. I regret that choice. If this is the quality they serve their very first customers of the day I do not want to know what dinner looks like. Save your money and skip The Sea Witch. This place simply is not worth it. It only got one star because I couldn't give it zero.

But I was welcomed in to the bar with one open seat. The staff was very welcoming with a bit of sarcasm, which is probably something that I look forward to everywhere. I asked for recommendations, having looked at the menu and they handed me another special menu of the day stating obviously I hadn't read the whole thing yet. I started with the snapper appetizer and I have Tse with the coconut lime broth. It was absolutely delicious, followed by the crawfish capellini. I was surprised by the amount of crawfish in the dish and the chili flavor, which was absolutely delicious. I have been hearing about the hush puppies for a while so I had to try some, especially because my colleague raved about it at dinner the night before. Lastly, I had the baked drum which was delicious light and flaky. The flavors were incredible. I personally thought that the bread was a little overly grilled and chard, but overall the dishes still pretty good. I cannot say more about the dessert. It's absolutely one of the best desserts I've had in a long time. The sticky carrot cake toffee cake with cream cheese ice cream was just on the next level. I would try to come here if I was in the area every time.
