Was in Kentucky for business and ended up at Morton's. The place was pretty good size and had space for large groups in private rooms. SERVICE: Everyone here was very nice and the servers were friendly and attentive. FOOD: Only been to a couple of Morton's, but I have been impressed each time. The steaks are seasoned perfectly and absolutely delicious!! Also had a couple of great old fashioneds with some yummy Kentucky bourbon... Great experience Morton's!!

Wonderful bar experience with the special bubbly happy meal - a crazy good value! This promotion is only available in the bar and it is fabulous! Staff was so friendly and engaging and the ambience here is *chef's kiss*!

We went to Morton's for my dad's birthday because we wanted him to have an experience. My husband and I frequent Mortons and have celebrated anniversaries and birthdays there. I loved that the hostess greeted us and wished him happy birthday. There was some confetti on the table. I was a little disappointed when I didn't see the personalized menu but that quickly went away when I opened the menu and saw a personalized card in each of our menus!!. These personal touches are one of the reasons we chose to have his dinner here. Last time we got a picture. We didn't get one this time. I guess they stopped doing that ( sad face) The food was delicious. It looked so good we forgot to take pictures. My husband and I shared a rack of lamb and the lobster mac and cheese. Everything was good!! The portion size was perfect! My dad got the Ribeye and I sampled a piece and it was really good too!. My dad enjoyed it some much. He said he was coming back too!

The food was great and always is! The steak almost just melts in your mouth. The scene is great and lowkey for a date night. The service happens to be my only downfall when I come and this is the second time. Severs just seem a bit dismissive and didn't seem very hospitable.

Ask the Community - Morton's The Steakhouse

How dressy is Morton's? Do they serve a Kentucky Mule at the bar?

Dress code is tastefully presentable for a great steakhouse. Some in business attire others nice casual. My spur of the moment 2nd night with no reservation I sat at the bar with jeans, heels and nice top. Serving any drink you wish if unknown…

Best place to park when also going to the Yum?

I always park on Main Street (metered parking is free after 6pm) about halfway between the Yum Center and Morton’s

Will Morton's serve a turkey dinner on Thanksgiving?

    Yes

We visited here for our 21st Wedding Anniversary!…read more Great ambience and plenty of room in the different areas. Drink/wine selection is top notch- we went with the Pinot Noir. Started with the crab dip- great flavor and texture, fresh scallions and shaved cheese which helped build up the crab flavor- even got extra bread for the dip since it was a good sized portion, Baby green salad- fresh, crisp lettuces, cucumbers and tomatoes in a vinaigrette Bacon wrapped pork loin was flavorful and tender on the inside while the bacon was crispy and cooked to perfection. The highlight was the squash - almost like a veggie lasagna. Char grilled cab ribeye- cookedto perfection (medium rare) with potatoes. Balsamic fingerling potatoes- while they had agreat taste and texture- little too sweet. Finished with a key lime pie- heaven in a pie crust- great key lime flavors, meringue was to perfection!

Food: Cornbread- unexpected. This was the free bread corse for the table but it was not expected. This didn't come out until after we ordered our meal. If we had known, we wouldn't have ordered such big meals. Crab & Artichoke dip- Delicious! The dig was luscious and came out piping hot! Definitely burnt my mouth because I was impatient Hawaiian Fish- Big portions! It is true when they say that everything is bigger in the south! The fish was light and free of the fishy scent. The rice was a bit mushy from the cook and the addition of sauce. Angus Filet Mignon- standard. The filet was cooked nicely and the lobster compound butter was a nice touch. On to my next adventure...

There were many seats at the bar as well as couch and chair areas. They also have bathrooms down there. Service was outstanding. We had a bourbon flight and some cocktails. Our server even took group pics for us. He also provided menus so we could be prepared for dinner. When our table was ready, we reconciled our check and headed back upstairs. Upstairs, we had amazing service also. I ordered a cocktail that they had on the downstairs menu, and not the regular menu. It did not faze our server. He said he would figure it out- and he did! After a round of drinks, we stayed with appetizers: meatballs, fritto misto, piatto di frutti di mare and the crab cake. Everything was devoured. I loved the crab cake and the meatballs. The fried calamari was pretty standard and the cold seafood platter was fine- I had an oyster off of it. For dinner, I had the "Pappardelle" : short rib ragu alla bolognese, grano padano, and added two seared scallops. Wow. The pasta is homemade. It was phenomenal. My husband had the "Maiale" : 16oz pork chop, cauliflower puree, chard, stone fruit, bourbon glaze. It was a large portion and cooked perfectly. So good. Our friends had steaks and sides, so I was able to try the Mac and cheese- which did not get congealed! The corn was delicious and the mushrooms were a variety. Of course we had dessert. I asked for cannoli and they had it! They weee not soggy. I had three different favors. I love cannoli. These were really good. We also shared the millionaire's tart and some sort of apple crumble with ice cream. Yum. We had more round of drinks throughout including some fun ones - see the treasure chest video. I would recommend this place. They have a great menu. Drinks were awesome. Service topped everything. They went out of their way for us multiple times. Thanks so much. We can't wait to come back again.

My hubby and I have an ongoing, unspoken competition: who can find the best steak in Louisville?…read moreThe one spot we always wanted to try closed a few years back, so every new place now has some pretty high expectations to meet -- from meal quality to overall experience to value. Hubby took me to one of the oldest steakhouses in town last fall, and even with three adults, the bill was noticeably lower than what we spent at this establishment. Service here gets a solid 5 stars -- everyone was attentive and personable. Ambience earns a strong 4 stars with a nice vibe that fits the area. The menu itself is intriguing, and every dish we ordered came out at the right temperature and well‑executed. Overall flavor was good. The desserts, however, didn't quite match the caliber we hoped for -- though to be fair, we're not professional food critics, so take that for what it's worth. Not sure yet if we'd return. If we did, it'd probably be with a larger group so we could share the dishes we enjoyed and make the price point feel a little more balanced. That said, the location is perfect for out‑of‑towners staying at the nearby hotels and those hitting the area's higher‑end entertainment spots.

I ordered the shrimp and grits, and without exaggeration, they were the best I've ever had. The shrimp were perfectly cooked, and the balance of textures throughout the dish was incredible. Every bite had the perfect amount of crunch, flavor, and toppings. Nothing felt overwhelming or out of place. It was one of those meals where you find yourself slowing down just to enjoy every bite. Even the water deserves a mention. It was clean, crisp, and refreshing. If it came straight from the tap, I would have never known. It's a small detail, but it speaks to the overall dining experience when even something as simple as water stands out. The service was great, and the atmosphere was lively and welcoming. It's easy to see why this restaurant has built such a strong reputation. The reason I'm giving 4 stars instead of 5 comes down to accessibility. As a person with a disability, parking can make or break a dining experience. Unfortunately, there was no handicap parking available, and there were no nearby parking spots open when I arrived. I ultimately had to park in a hotel lot about a block away, which cost $25 for just two hours. Not only was the cost frustrating, but the additional distance was challenging given my mobility needs. The food was phenomenal and absolutely worth trying, but I do hope accessibility becomes part of the conversation for future guests. For those without mobility concerns, this may not be an issue, but for disabled patrons, it's something important to consider before visiting.
