Came by during happy hour. They call it power hour. Greeted promptly by the hostess. I was by myself, didnt need a table so took a seat at the end of the bar. Inside the restaurant, the ambiance was definitely set up to take a date, a quiet space to have a excellent meal with friends, with some nice music in the background. Its bigger than what you may initially see. There is a really nice quiet space that appears to have its own wine selection. Great for a private party. Huge winelist is at the forefront of the cocktail menu. Bartender was great, good conversation. I decided to go easy and get the burger sliders. Wasn't that hungry. Sliders came out hot. Juicy taste, sauce was great, and there was something added on the bun which was great. Just the amount of food I needed. A unexpected but great early great appetizer to finish off the day. I would recommend valet parking as it's reasonable and you can request your vehicle via text. It was pulling up as we walked out of the casino Service is impeccable at Morton's, from reception and seating on. Even though we had a reservation, it wasn't needed on this Tuesday evening. It was my wife's birthday and the table was decorated ahead of time with a birthday card and birthday confetti. Our waitress was prompt and took our beverage order, followed by the hostess who took a celebratory photo. Our food was excellent with my order of a cajun ribeye and my wife's order of lobster ravioli. Absolutely the best ribeye I've ever had! Choice of dessert was complimentary for her birthday and the cheesecake with strawberries was delicious. In June we came here for our 40th anniversary and now for a birthday celebration. Morton's is always a good idea for a great fancy dinner. We ordered a bottle of red wine for the table and was very wowed by the flavor. If you're a fan of Merlot and blends, this one was delicious; Château Greysac. Our server dropped off the bread for the table and my coworkers' salad and soup came out. The Lobster Bisque bowl passed me and there were large pieces of lobster in the bowl. Then the severed placed his bowl down and then poured the bisque over the lobster. The smell and look of this dish had me salivating. I had to order my own. Once I got mine, the flavor was so creamy and the lobster was amazing. I ordered the petit filet and lobster for $69 and was really wowed by the flavor and size of this great meal for a great price. I decided to stop in for a dessert after dinner and maybe some drinks. We didn't have a reservation so we are hoping to sit at the bar at the least. It was actually not so busy and we were able to snag a small table near the bar.. unfortunately our experience wasn't so great. Our server was awful and it felt like forever trying to track him down to get any drinks from the bar. Luckily someone was going around filling water so that we always did have that . Since we'd already eaten dinner our original plan was just the dessert, but my husband saw crab legs so we ordered those as well. It said it came cold, but you could get it warmed with butter so we asked for warmed. Unfortunately, that's not what we got. We got cold with a side of a tad warm. There was a lot of crab so I guess that was a good part. We also ordered the cheesecake even sharing it. We didn't finish it. It just had too much of a grainy sugar texture, which yes, what was on it would have the sugar I was hoping more of a traditional cheesecake I guess. Well it was great to still spend some alone. Overall- the menu is overpriced for the product offered however, the ambiance is nice, the dining room is well laid out, and the staff courteous and attentive. The food- my steak was ordered rare, and was served medium...once brought to the attention of the staff, it was questioned, Then corrected. The second steak was heavy on the salt, but was enjoyable. The mashed potatoes were watery and seemed instant with chunks of real potatoes added. They did offer a complimentary dessert for the steak mishap. That was a nice touch. We have just moved out to Surprise a few months ago and are visiting the various venues and restuarants in the area. My wife threw me a surprise birthday party for about 20 people there. Morton's did not disappoint. We were on the patio with beautiful weather. Working with Kaylee, my wife picked about 15 items from the menu for apps and mains. Let me tell you, it was phenomenal! I could not try all of the apps, nor all of the mains but the guests were floored. We went back with just a party of three a few weeks later because it was so good. The staff remembered us and it was another wonderful experience. From the Filet to the Lobster Bisque to the Lobster Ravioli...I can't rave enough. I'm a cook and I can usually be on par with most restaurants. Not Morton's. They blew me away. One issue for me. Being in Surprise, I was glad to see this was more than a T-shirt and shorts place. They have a defined dress code on their website. They had a wedding proposal on the table next to us. Yet, there were people coming in with swim trunks, flip-flops and T-shirts. In Arizona, that's all OK. When looking for something a little more than that, you want Morton's. However, it was not enforced. I know it's hard to say "No", especially when you are in a Casino, but it was a bit disappointing. We'll never stop going back, and we now have some relatives from Colorado that are looking to Morton's as their next venue. Bravo, Morton's! read more

This Morton's Steakhouse location is connected to Desert Diamond Casino. I ordered the New York Strip along with sides of Spinach and Mushrooms, and Asparagus. I thoroughly enjoyed my New York Strip - it was cooked to a perfect medium and seasoned just right. I would recommend that cut. The sides were tasty too, but I'm not a fan of soggy asparagus. Other diners ordered the Ribeye with a baked potato side and the Sea Bass... and I had the opportunity to try some of each. The Ribeye was marbled, as expected... but it had an excess amount of fattiness along the edges. The Sea Bass was good, but not great. I also ordered a whiskey sour. I presumed a higher-end steakhouse like Morton's would prepare a killer whiskey sour... but unfortunately I was disappointed in it. It was just ok. A shoutout to the service, which was truly exceptional on this visit. And they provided a gluten-free menu and were able to answer my handful of questions. This 5 star is for their French Onion Soup and their hospitality. The broth is deep and subtle, not overly boozed up. The onions are caramelized and melt in your mouth. The crock and crouton is baked over with Gruyère!!!! Just look at the pic. The chopped salad was okay. The homemade dressings are stellar!!! The Ranch was 5 star material. The ribeye was delicious. They had a generous 16 oz cut that we split. Sides are purchased separately. We got the beautifully presented scalloped potatoes but compared to the French Onion Soup, it was leagues behind. This is a follow up to my last review on Morton's Steakhouse. I have always been willing to give a second chance to any restaurant that fell short of expectations. This one was especially important because the General Manager went out of his way to call me and talk about our experience in his restaurant. Greg is the definition of a leader. He took responsibility for the visit we had, invited us back to make sure we knew the last visit was a fluke and apologized for falling short the first time. This visit was way different. Our waitress Heather was AMAZING. She was attentive, she was outgoing and very nice. Our food was top notch. My New York Strip was the best steak I have ever eaten in my life ( I'm 59 so I have had a lot in my time). The steak was perfect in every way. My wife's filet was delicious as well. The topper of the night was Greg came over, introduced himself and made sure we had a great experience. The thing is, it wasn't just us. I spent 34 years in management so I observe and Greg was ALL over the place. Every table, every guest , making sure that each guest had a great experience. Thank you Heather for doing an amazing job, thank you Morton's staff for working hard to insure your guest had a great meal, and lastly thank you Greg for being a great leader and making sure your guest will return. We made a reservation ahead of time and the table was decorated with a welcome card and flower petals, it was so nice! The steak was cooked to perfection, I prefer medium rare and many places typically over do it. They have a great wine list to pair with dinner, it took me an extra minute to decide on which red to pick but the server was so patient. My fiancé couldn't stop raving about the dessert, Morton's Legendary Hot Chocolate Cake (Sundae style). They also gifted us a photo to remember the night by. Decided to get "fancy" for our 6th anniversary & make some reservations at Morton's for Saturday 3/21. Everything seemed good going in. We arrived early & we were seated shortly after. As we got to the table the hostess removed an old table cloth that was on one of the chairs, seemed like an honest mistake, no biggie, but in hindsight it was Red Flag #1. Our waitress took awhile to get to us after that, which we could only have decided on a drink, because she had the food menus. Great, 10 minutes to decide on a drink. Bread was delivered. I actually have a picture time stamped at 7:20pm. Take note. BTW the bread tastes like a bagel, do with that what you will. We were going to order glasses of wine but decided to just stick with waters. (Should've ordered wine, maybe the food would've tasted better). We ordered oysters for an appetizer. Should've stopped there bc they were actually great. When we finally got around to ordering we chose a Caesar Salad, Au Gratin Potatoes, Brussels Sprouts, & we each chose the Filet Mignon with Lobster Tail. 3 sides to share & 2 entrees. We waited honestly a really long time for the food. We get it, it was a Saturday night but i swear we didn't see our waitress for like 30 minutes! Which she was definitely not the problem, it was just odd. We twiddled our thumbs to pass the time. We picked at the bread but didn't want to ruin our appetite, but man were we hungry! Caesar Salad came out with the oysters, that was also pretty decent, so we were inclined to think the food would be as well. Food arrives. Picture is time stamped at 8:37. We waited over an hour. Waitress now does come by & notices the Potatoes Au Grautin were missing. The girl had said they would be coming shortly. Waitress says "No they should've been out with your food". She comped those for us, thankfully. Surprisingly the potatoes were my favorite thing even though the cheese was overcooked on top. Lobster was dry & cold, i drowned it in butter and lemon. I had to saw it with a knife! My filet mignon was over cooked as well. We both asked for Medium, mine was definitely Well Done, whilst my husband's seemed to be actually be Medium. (See pictures. You can tell without even cutting into it how bad mine was) I did not complain at the time, I honestly felt bad for how busy they were & understand the wait staff really has no control over the kitchen. Brussels sprouts were definitely charred, i couldn't really tell how much at first, but the bacon pieces on the bottom of the dish were both inedible and unenjoyable. Once the potatoes arrived it was nice to have something hot to eat i actually burned my mouth when i tried them. Those were actually 8/10 had they not overdone it on the top cheese crust. For dessert, (yes we ordered dessert because we were celebrating!), we ordered the cheesecake. Our waitress kindly informed us while we were eating that the chocolate cake takes 30 minutes if we wanted to get the order in then. The cheesecake was another winner. The crumble on top was *chef's kiss*. So to conclude, overall it was not as lovely an experience as I expected. Food 3/10 Ambience 6/10 Service 5/10 Definitely never taking Texas Roadhouse for granted again! They have never failed me, I guess this is what we get for trying to get fancy. Definitely not the experience I was expecting, but attributing that to the west valley:casino location. Made the reservation through OpenTable so they didn't get the note we were celebrating. Waitress didn't ask if we were celebrating anything either. This is not normal for a restaurant of this caliber. My husband went to the hostess to mention he had noted the celebration on our reservation and shortly afterward, a girl who was not dressed appropriately for this type of establishment put rose petals on our table. While she leaned over to place them in a heart shape, we got a good view of her breasts, which were spilling out of her shirt and red lace bra straps that were sticking out of her black low cut shirt. Classless. Food. Steaks were okay, not the best we've had (Mastro's is better by far), sides were meh, and we noticed a fowl smell coming from the au poivre sauce. Smelled like a farm, freshly fertilized - not appetizing! The only highlight was the dessert. The lava cake was phenomenal. Waitress was not to the level we expected either. Barely checked on us. Seemed like they just hired her from ihop. Will definitely book a $400 dinner elsewhere in the future. No need to ever come back here. read more

Ever since I saw a Morton's in Minneapolis over 30 years ago, I'd been wanting to eat there. My husband surprised me with a reservation at the Waddell (AZ) restaurant recently. I was disappointed. I'll start with the positives - the service was impeccable. Absolutely perfect! Attentive, not too much, not too little, and very pleasant. The food was good. Not great, given the prices, but very good. What really, really bothered me was the environment. There is supposed to be a dress code for all Morton's restaurants across the country. This particular location clearly did not enforce it. People were there in flip flops, swimsuit cover, bandanas around their heads, torn t-shirts, shorts, and other sloppy clothing. When I come to a restaurant and pay at least $72 for a steak, I expect the dress code to be enforced. It was truly disappointing. As a side note, not that this is the restaurant's responsibility, but if you are coming to a high-end restaurant, learn some manners. I'm talking to the 30-ish woman sitting near us who was talking loudly, licking the bowls and her plate, chewing with her mouth open, and food was falling out, and allowed her cell phone to ring loudly while she ignored it and kept on with her disruptive and inappropriate behavior. She was dressed in a faded, frayed t-shirt, and dirty shorts. This is not how any neurotypical adult should behave in an upscale restaurant (truly, any restaurant). Anyway, overall, I was disappointed, and so was my husband. We like to frequent high end steakhouses, and we both agreed that Morton's would be last on our list to come to again. read more

This Desert Diamond location is the newest Morton's I've ever been. The dining room has a lot of natural light, but the interior is a little art deco with the lighting and accents, and moody and intimate with the dark colors. There is staff everywhere, always available to help. There aren't any restrooms dedicated to the restaurant, you use the ones in the casino. The noise level isn't too bad, you can hear your companion(s) talk and aren't hindered by restaurant music or casino noise - I didn't sit near the entrance though. I've been dining at various Morton's restaurants for a very long time and have experienced their changes/growth over the years. In the past, you could get your porterhouse grilled to perfection with the right amount of seasoning. I always order med rare and the steak always showed up hot. This particular visit, I noticed the porterhouse is now made to share and is sliced for you in the kitchen. The steak was not hot and the marbling was ok. I wish that hadn't changed, it was my most favorite cut of beef to splurge on. The sides are always great, as is the hot chocolate cake (decadent). The bread that you can usually get is usually crunchy on the outside and pillowy soft on the inside. Again, on this visit, the bread was not piping hot, and it was oddly crunchy chewy throughout. I think this sat underneath a heat lamp for too long. Although this dining experience wasn't at great as previous ones, the service is always top tier, the appetizers and sides are fresh and delicious as are the desserts. I just don't know whether their ribeyes are going to live up to the Morton's porterhouses of special dinners from the past. read more

Visited the Desert Diamond Casino for my 50th birthday, and wanted when I saw there was a Mortons Steak house I went over to see if we could get in without a reservation. The ambiance is beautiful very classy and nice setting. We sat at the bar ordered a Lavander (pic in the shrimp cocktal) Cosmopolitan to start with. Amazing you should try one. Next we were brought some Onion bread and butter,fresh out of the oven and very tasty. We ordered a shrimp cocktail, the sauce had fresh horseradish in the cocktail sauce and was delicious. We decided to order the tomahawk steak and the parmesan truffle fries. The steak was medium like we ordered and cooked to perfection. This was the best steak I have had in a long time. Parmesan truffle fries did not disappoint and im not a huge truffle fan, but they changed my mind with these fries lastnight. You get what you pay for, there is a reason it costs more.... the quality! I will pay more everytime! We will definitely be back! read more

Wife and I ate dinner here on Saturday evening 4/5/25. Service was absolutely amazing! I had a 12oz Fillet and my wife ordered lobster ravioli. We also shared a chop salad and sour cream mashed potatoes. My steak was cooked perfect to how I requested. Chop salad was very good as well, it had pieces of avocado and blue cheese in it. The dressing was good. Wife said the raviolis were good but the piece of lobster that comes with it was not so good. Mashed potatoes were lumpy and not very flavorful. Excellent service and delicious food! Eight of us dined here last night to celebrate our youngest grandchild's high school graduation. Our server was a delight; the food was excellent. Several of us dined with selections from the Restaurant Week menu and we all enjoyed a cornucopia of delicious side dishes and starters. A $70 Filet Mignon should not be burnt to a crisp on one side and almost cooked through when it is ordered Medium. Then the refire took 20 minutes and was mushy.
