This is a takeout order review and just wow! I know this location has a lot of mixed reviews but my takeout order was so good. I got the kids steak meal which included their bread, parm mashed potatoes, and the Mac n cheese. The steak was seasoned well and good to medium like I ordered. The parm mash had a well balanced subtle flavor but that Mac n cheese was the highlight. There was a smokiness to the cheese and just so good plus the pasta shape is a bonus and allowed for the cheese to stick to it all! The packaging was great too! My wife and I treated my father and father-in-law to Father's Day brunch at Firebirds. Thankfully, I had the foresight to make reservations because this place was an absolute rager. Understandably so. The restaurant has a rustic feel with heavy wood beams and neutral-colored artwork throughout. It's warm, comfortable, and exactly what you would expect from a modern steakhouse. Service was very good. Could it have been a little faster? Sure. But I'm not going to knock them for that. It was Father's Day and I don't think I saw a single employee standing still the entire time we were there. In fact, one of my favorite parts of the experience was sitting close enough to the kitchen to hear everyone communicating. It sounded like a well-oiled machine. Organized, professional, and honestly pretty cool to witness. We started with the cinnamon rolls. They were fine. Nothing I am going to dream about later, but certainly nothing to complain about either. As for the entrees, my wife ordered the French toast, my father had the brunch burger, my father-in-law went with the smothered sausage biscuit sandwich, and I ordered the steak and egg tacos. Honestly? Everyone was happy. My tacos were loaded with well-seasoned, medium-rare steak and were exactly what I was hoping for. The cocktails were mighty tasty as well. Then came my favorite part of the meal. As we were wrapping up brunch, their whimsical manager stopped by and handed each of us dads a gift card to come back as a simple Father's Day thank-you. Stopped at Firebirds for lunch while running errands in Surprise - First time checking them out. We went on a Saturday around 12pm. It was fairly busy but we were seated immediately without a wait. We started with the Wood Grilled Chimichurri Shrimp. These were actually very tasty - although I'll say the actual presentation looked nothing like the photo on the website. Regardless the shrimp were cooked really well and there were good flavors throughout the dish. For our entrees we both got the Steak Frites. This was another good dish. The fries were well seasoned. The steak was cooked perfectly. I wasn't a fan of the pepita seeds in the salad - but that's just a personal preference. Our server was friendly and attentive. All in, it was a positive experience. Well, I got lucky and was able to reserve for Valentines Day. We have been to a Firebirds in the past, but this location was new to us. It was a little smaller than the Arrowhead location, but being right near loop 303 made it convenient for us. Firebirds is beautifully done with modern and upbeat decor and feels like a special place to dine compared to many other restaurants. We arrived at our scheduled reservation time and was promptly seated. Our sever was bubbly and all smiles. As a matter of fact, all of the staff seemed happy and upbeat. Despite being a busy day, everything seemed to go perfectly and the staff was calm and completely in control. There was not much of a wait for any of the arriving guests. One thing I do especially like in the diverse menu. There is a great selection and most dishes have gourmet features. I ordered the Filet with lobster and my wife got the salmon. While waiting, warn doughy bread was served. It was so good, that I could have just eaten that! The grilled lobster, filet and salmon were a perfect dinner combination for this special occasion. We've been here a few times and we remembered that we ordered the Three course meal that was such a great value, we had to order that again. I recommend reservations, but the bar area and tables are all open seating, so we grabbed a bar table. Us girls were ready for a nice cocktail so we all ordered one to try. I ordered the Black Diamond Martini that was made with fermented pineapple and vodka in house. When our drinks came, three servers came out with shakers and martini glasses and shook our cocktails and poured them right in front of us. I was beyond impressed with the presentation and the flavor, I'll be coming back for the service alone. We were a tad hungry, so we ordered the lobster queso as it sounded like an interesting concoction. We all ordered the Three Course dinner special for $39.95. Who can beat that price? First time at this location for Father's Day. Booked a reservation on OpenTable. When I arrived they said OpenTable reserved outside only. I added in the notes that I needed Inside seating and we drove 30 minutes just to come to this restaurant. Our reservation was for 4:30 pm, so not even prime dinner time. This location is extremely busy. We came in on a Friday night around 730 and the place was packed. Luckily, there were some open seats at the bar. We were served immediately and even asked our names so our bartender could refer to them, which I appreciated. We were actually coming for a restaurant week, but we opted to order what we like instead. I opted for the ribeye and my friend opted for the chicken tortilla soup. We did the lobster queso to share. The queso was really good and they had nice big chunks of lobster. The ribeye had a little more fat and gristle than I'd like and was a little undercooked, but I still thoroughly enjoyed it. First time eating at firebirds with my boyfriend and let me start by saying how incredible service was. Although it was a bit slow, it's Mother's Day weekend so I completely understand how hard these servers are working. Upon arrival we were greeted and seated pretty fast, our server greeted us right away a-swell but everything seemed to turn a downside when the food came out. I ordered the chicken tortilla soup to start off with which was extremely watery/ runny with a big scoop of sour cream. The entire soup was basically sour cream and water. I also ordered the grilled salmon with mashed potatoes and the potatoes tasted old and had a play-doh like consistency. After working at a restaurant for 10 plus years I know when food has been sitting on a hot hold for a long time not being mixed properly or it has too much starch in the potatoes and not enough cream. We like trying new restaurants, and this one was recently built in the Costco area. The restaurant is very neat and clean, their staff is very friendly and helpful. We ordered the hot honey chicken sandwich and the Durango burger. While we waited our waitress brought out bread. At first I thought the bread was going to be hard (by the way it looked) but it was just a crunchier crust and the bread was very soft and delicious. Both meals we great. We both ended up getting the cider slaw - it was amazing! If you like apple cider vinegar slaw - this is the best! The burger was great, while the hot honey chicken sandwich was very good, but the chicken was a bit dry (not sure if it's normally dry as this was my first time at the restaurant). Although we had a mixup with DoorDash after receiving cold food. Matt at Firebirds was able to make it up. Matt was super professional, cared about us as customers, and wants his customers to be happy. In reality DoorDash should be the one making up for it. He took it into his own hands.
