Wow. I have been back, as well as had the chance to eat at their "Food Truck." Lets just say service is worse, the wait is always extremely long and food is still cold when you are served. And to beat all, prices have gone up. $10 bucks for a burger off of a food truck? If it was something that had high end costs (buffalo, etc.), I would get it, but a greasy high high fat content burger? Nope. I will not say where it was eaten, but the place (of employment) where it was parked has 400+ employees and 90% of them will not be returning to Morty's because they feel it is a rip off. Best burger I've had in Logan. I ordered the Hawaiian burger and substituted the beef for chicken. I would have loved a Turkey burger option because I do not eat beef, but I love the different varieties of burgers to choose from and the fries are amazing. The shakes are a little too sweet for me, but all in all it's a cute space with indoor and outdoor seating. The parking can be challenging if it's packed, so think about the time of day/day of week. read more

DELIVERY ORDER CAUTION: The food is very good, if you pick it up yourself or eat-in. But if you order delivery, be prepared for some disappointment. The on-line ordering option asks you if you want to add things to a particular item (e.g. fries with your burger), but if you use this option, chances are the item won't be delivered with your order. This has happened to me three times. I give them three stars because they do their best to make it right, making a second trip out to bring the forgotten item. But this is something to be aware of. Don't use (or if Morty's staff read these, offer) the option of adding things to an item, and just order things as separate items from the menu. read more

I grew up here in Logan, and was going to USU when this restaurant opened behind my sorority house. The food is REALLY good, and quite reasonably priced in my opinion. There are occasional issues with order timeliness and service, as well as it's often very crowded during the school year, which can lead to some problems with cleanliness, but I mean, that's college students for you. I still LOVE Morty's and make a point to visit frequently when I'm back in town!! read more

Logan needs Morty's. Let's lay that on the line straight away. Logan is a town that thrives on chain restaurants and has seen a slew of locally owned establishments struggle. Morty's very likely has what it takes to survive the struggles some other local-owned restaurants have faced thanks to its eclectic-but-simple menu, a prime university location, and the chutzpah of the people running the place. Morty's wants to be seen as more, but it is currently being branded a burger joint, and on my initial visit, a burger is precisely what I ordered. I had Morty's "Burger of the Month" for November, which was a molé burger -- beef patty, mole, avocado, sour cream...The burger was good, the fries were really good, and I'll be back to eat more (specifically the Iberian burger). Morty's offers a range of quinoa salads, coffee, breakfast sandwiches, and more in addition to its burgers, and the burgers can be modified to chicken or bean patties at no extra charge, so there's plenty of room for variety. The burgers are inspired by various locations around the world, and thus Cache Valley is being introduced to some flavors it might otherwise not have experienced. The crown jewel of Morty's is the rooftop view of Logan and the Wellsville Mountains you can get by ascending to the second and third level of the restaurant. Unfortunately, these patios will be a little cold to enjoy in the winter months, but I suspect that come spring they will be very hot study locations for USU students. I loved Morty's and it is a great entrant on that Cache Valley culinary scene. This is really a 4.5 star review because the only improvements I would suggest would be superficial on the insides. The interior of the restaurant is a little small and while dining on a Wednesday afternoon, even without the place being super busy it felt full. I imagine a super-busy night could feel claustrophobic inside -- but even that will be relieved with the wealth of patio seating. Don't let that nitpick dissuade you though. Morty's is a must-eat and I hope Logan supports it. read more

I was very excited that Morty's Cafe finally opened last week and could not wait to go and try it out today! Unfortunately, everyone on campus appears to share my enthusiasm and they were all there, waiting in line in front of me this afternoon. Morty's Menu has a little something for everyone. Vegetarian sandwiches, Crumb Brothers pastries, quinoa salads, shakes, and, of course, an excellent selection of burgers. I am unadventurous and picked the Iconic Burger, which is just a regular cheeseburger. It was great, and well worth $6. I ordered a side of onion rings as well, and I don't think I'll order them again. They were cooked well, but the batter was really underseasoned. My friend ordered a peanut butter shake that he really enjoyed. The frequent diner's card makes me nervous in the most pleasant way possible! Instead of just getting a certain number of stamps, you must try 8 out of 10 of the available sandwiches! AND when you do get 8 stamps, you can choose whether you want a free meal or a free t-shirt. I'm excited to break out of my comfort zone in the name of savings. I am going to have to think long and hard before returning to Morty's between classes. Seriously. The line moved quickly, but I waited for about half an hour to receive my order. It was a little nuts. Hopefully they get more efficient as they go along. read more

After my triumphant return to Logan I spent a some time merely marveling at all the new offerings. Morty's boasts a stunning location as you round old main hill, and I am only just now learning I have missed out on the upper terraced seating. I had the turkey and bacon sandwich with potato fries. No, I didn't, because the fries aren't merely a side but rather an event. Each little peace treaty for my stomach took away the grumps I had gained dealing with layers and layers of USU bureaucracy. My favorite burger joint! The meat is perfect. It isn't greasy. The bun is great quality and holds up. The toppings are unique and flavorful. The produce is fresh. The Hawaiian Burger is crave worthy. The itallian is great too. Good fries, not my favorite though. They do a good lettuce wrap, as well as offer exciting healthy options. My only complaint is that multiple time I have ordered, they have forgotten something on the burger (one time they left out the bacon, and the other time the special sauce). Consistancy is important to me, especially with delivery orders, so this took it down to four stars. Parking is horrendous, but I'll walk for the Hawaiian burger! read more

The food here is fantastic, definitely well above anything I've come to expect from Logan dining establishments. Despite being a burger joint they are truly vegetarian AND vegan friendly. Their non-meat patties are definitely some of the best I've had and they can make them in any of the styles you can get their regular burgers in. I've seen some of the complaints about pink burgers but my dining companion ordered a burger and it was a perfect medium. I expect the pink burger issue arises from people not truly knowing how to order meat and being used to chili's charring their burgers to an inedible hockey puck. The location in proximity to campus is fantastic and the atmosphere in the restaurant is bright and sunny. I can't wait to utilize their outdoor seating come warmer weather. Additionally, the staff was far better trained than most food establishments in Logan. They are friendly, too the point, and they don't blow you off like I've encountered so many other places in the Valley. read more

Nice change of pace from your regular burger joints. I would go as far to say Gourmet burgers. Service was slow, and parking is atrocious.

The food is okay, not really worth the prices. They raised the prices so they could pay the employees more but the employees aren't getting paid more. When I was in I heard the manager completely tearing down one of his workers and belittling him. I'm not going to support a business that can't respect the people that keep it running. read more

Morty's is a great local place to get burgers, sandwiches, and fries (including their breakfast sandwiches). It is located in a pretty "hip" building only a hundred feet from Utah State campus. The sandwiches and burgers here are of interesting varieties and reflect a lot different cultural pickings. This place is friendly to those with dietary restrictions and they will generally be able to accommodate you (like their assortment veggie burgers). One thing I really like about this place is the place is the view from up top, you can climb the stair to the very top and watch the beautiful sunset. read more
