I have tried this place at least 10 times. And each time I don't like it, but then months go by and I forget how bad it was, so I convince myself it will taste better this time lol It dsnt help that when I go on yelp, so many ppl r giving it great reviews. I keep thinking it must be the cook that I get, but every time? Idk. The chicken is always burnt, not charbroiled. The rice is nothing special. And the teriyaki sauce is bland...even when I put 4 containers of it in my bowl, it wasn't that good. I end up never eating the meat, and just eat teriyaki soaked rice (which isn't that good) Yoshinoya is so much better. My favorite teriyaki chicken place isn't made by asians... oh no. The people who perfect the art of cooking up delicious teriyaki chicken are the mexicans working at this Mos in Anaheim! I always order the same thing teriyaki chicken plate with 2 gyozas instead of an egg roll (Adrian M O. Was the one who told me to get 2 gyozas instead... the gyozas are way better than the egg rolls). I love every part of the plate. The salad is drenched in some creamy mayo Like dressing. I can't get enough of it, wish I had the dressing at home. The chicken with chicken skin is sooooo good! Flame broiler can't even come close to getting Mos' teriyaki chicken flavor. Love the sauces that the chicken comes with. I love sauce so when the guy gives a handful of extra sauce I'm in sauce heaven. This place is good! The Combination Plate #4 is EXCELLENT! It has chicken and beef, comes with rice, salad, veggie egg roll, and a pot sticker. The really like the salad dressing! The teriyaki sauce is good, but I always make sure to ask for more sauce. It is totally a hole in the wall type of place and if you are expecting fine dining, I can totally understand why you would give this place one star. I don't get the rave reviews. Just had the teriyaki beef and it tasted like recooked left over steak. Thin and so dry they gave us 10 of the teriyaki ramekins for two plates. They know! The salad dressing was unidentifiable. Looks like lard and tastes slightly sweet. I'll pass on that. Also, CASH only place with an ATM on site. If they own it, I guess it makes sense because they can make more money that way. Still, should take cards even if it means paying a small fee. Still less than the ATM fee plus your bank's fee. One of my favorite places to eat. My only complaints would be that it's cash only and that there isn't one of these places within walking distance. I love love love this place. I also believe out of all of the Mos locations (there are 4 total), this is the best. Went to this hole-in-the-wall with a co-worker with great expectations due to Yelp reviews. My impression? Meh. People rave about the Teriyaki bowl, but I found mine to be average tasting, and well. . . greasy. I guess I am used to boneless, skinless breast meat, but the bowls here use chicken parts (I don't know which parts) with skin attached. Normally, when you eat something that is less-healthy, it tastes better. Not here (IMHO). I'd consider giving it a second try (Next time I will request without skin? This place and its food is awesome! Their main teriyaki bowl with their sauce is phenomenal and so rich in taste. As a highschool student eating at Mos is an absolute must! The staff is very welcoming and happy to see you every time you come by and you can just taste the amount of effort they put into preparing and serving their beautiful dishes. The first time I went there was with a group of friends and I was skeptical of the place but after my first chew, I was in love with the food. The look of the place is a little different from other traditional places but the experience there is very satisfying. The prices aren't too intense either allowing it to become a place you can go to regularly. This place is basically a teriyaki dive (not too many of those around). It looks like what used to be an old rundown hamburger joint, or maybe even an old Taco Bell. It's pretty grimy inside and seedy out, and there's an obscure self car wash behind it. Having said that, the food is pretty tasty. And like one of the other reviews mentioned, the teriyaki sauce is different than most places. It's molasses thick and uber sweet. They give you two things of sauce and I think each additional one is 25 cents (2 is usually enough unless you want diabetes). The menu is really simple - chicken, beef, pork, and some select seafood. I've only tried the chicken and beef, which are pretty good (I'm not brave enough to try seafood at most dives). The combo plates are a good deal. I also like the fact they have small, medium and large bowls to suit your hunger. I can't vouch for quality or cleanliness (you probably don't want to know), but it's good bang for your buck. I think they close pretty early - 9pm, but I'm not 100%. NOTE: Just remember you can't actually order at the drive thru menu. You have to pull up to the window. The first time I came here years ago, I sat there for 5 minutes trying to talk to a non-existent speaker. read more

I went here often on my lunch breaks to have one of their chicken teriyaki bowls. For $5 I could get a medium-sized bowl of yummy goodness. Add extra teriyaki sauce and tapatio and you have yourself a meal my friend. But why do I say used to go often? Whether it be the economy or new management, their portions haven't been what they used to be. Even the extra teriyaki sauce you ask for seems watered down. I always get the chicken teriyaki bowl but my friend sometimes orders the beef bowl and according to them it's just as good. They also serve combination plates (also a good deal) with your choice of meat but I've yet to try it considering all that you get with it (it comes with salad, an egg roll, rice and gyoza).
