Wow, I was hungry and ordered Postmates and this meal did not disappoint! The flavor in this was sooooo good. For a mini meal they are very generous with their portions. The katsu was delicious and crunchy, the macaroni salad was my absolute favorite it had some paprika on it and I'm so glad I ordered an extra side (usually do) and even the rice was seasoned with some type of furikake. The menu is awesome and had some great lunch deals (appetizers, entree, and drink for like 16$). My mini meal was like 13$ and an extra side of Mac was like 5/6$ I believe. I would've got the lunch (10am - 4pm) but it seemed like a lot of food and I don't eat too much. I am a fan of Hawaiian BBQ, typically go to Ono but this place was 10x better. I ordered the Spam masubi, and BBQ Chicken with sausage. The chicken was moist and flavorful, got some Mac Salad as well and they do say that if the Mac Salad is good, the hawaiian food will be good. Don't trust the menu photo, the prices are much higher. We managed to order our food (the restaurant website is different than the kiosk inside. For example there is no loco moco from their website but it's there on the anaheimfoodco ordering page) also you cannot order or ask for teriyaki sauce. But we got home to find out the Loco Moco sauce was packed on its side with a crack in the lid and had spilled all over the bottom of the bag. Who can we tell? No one. I have finally digested the mystery meat material that came in the sliders I ordered in December, which were drier than the Atacama desert if I may add, with the exception of two drops or a sad smear of sauce at the bottom of one bun. That is to say, I'm not sure if the chicken in the sliders was supposed to be eaten, or if it was just the remains at the bottom of the fryer, or skillet, or whichever method was used to mutilate the corpse of that bird. Confession: I sometimes have reason to indulge in late-night, delivery-style snacking. Over the weekend, I had one of those nights, and a craving for Hawaiian mac salad. This is from a ghost kitchen, so I already didn't expect too much. The 3 stars are for solid, late-night options, but nothing blew my mind, and quality is certainly not the selling point. I ordered a seafood combo with barbecue chicken; the seafood options were fried mahi and shrimp. To note, there is no tartar sauce for the seafood. Instead, there's a spicy mayo, heavy on the mayo. The chicken came with a teriyaki sauce, that was interesting, if not tasty. It was nothing like a traditional teriyaki and very thin, but was a pleasant soy-ginger flavor. The food itself is fine. Flavors are there, but quality of meat isn't optimal. Chicken can be tough in spots, and dry in others. The seafood was tough to assess, but was fried adequately. The mac salad was not great--definitely mayo heavy, in theme. But, I do find that's a hard balance to strike, and chain restaurants don't make the best mac salad. I am glad I had the chance to try it, but I don't think I'll be trying anything else to change my opinion. The Spam Musubi was good, as usual (it's pretty hard to mess up a Spam Musubi) however, the loco moco was the real letdown. Although the portion was good size the beef patties were undercooked and raw on the inside. I ate one whole patty thinking the other would be okay but it was just as raw. The gravy was also more of a liquid sauce rather than a gravy.
