    1/2 Dozen Mini Cupcakes
    Indira M.

This bakery has improved since my initial review. The cupcakes don't always taste as if they're fresh or made on the same day of purchase. Biggest issue is the inconsistency, but they have much better frosting than most bakeries in rva.

Mo's did an order of cupcakes for my wedding and we absolutely loved them. We did the Tres Leches and Blue Velvet, both did not disappoint. The lady I spoke with made ordering and pick up such an easy process. We will definitely be placing another order in the future!

So cute and delicious! Double chocolate mini cupcake was my favorite, and had a delightful chocolate ganache surprise on the inside! Lemon mini cupcake was also fabulous (and also, lemon surprise inside)! Carrot cake mini also very good!

This was my first time ordering from this place. I just love cupcakes and sweets! I ordered the mini cupcakes ( half dozen). Presentation was nice. Cute little brown box with pink writing. My favorite cupcake was the carrot cake. However I received old cupcakes. The outsides of all cupcakes were hard and crispy, the insides were soft. I want my entire cupcake to be soft as a sweet dessert should be.

This place is GREAT!!! Sweet, fresh and moist. lol. Great description, right? Staff is excellent and the place is clean. Banana pudding cupcake is my favorite. Apple too lol. Will never go to another bakery especially after we have found perfection.

A cute bakery that- I think- changes their cupcakes and cookies flavor from time to time. I was lucky to try their mocha shortbread cookie-which was sold out- and red velvet cupcake. I like this place because the sweetness is not overwhelming. It is just right amount of sweetness. The owner was very nice and generous too. She gave us the mocha shortbread to try. It was still warm and it was heavenly good!!! I def. will come back. fyi they have mini cup cakes too!

Mo's Sweet Minis is located right on Broad St next to Dunkin. Every time I go in here, it is empty, not sure why because the cupcakes are delicious. My favorite is the red velvet. The only worker on the clock is probably bored out of their mind and is super friendly whenever we come in. Cute little place, check it out.

I love when I stumble across little pieces of heaven! I was literally just going to grab some coffee and saw this shop. I went in because it carried the name of my daughter "Mo". (Corny, I know) But I loved everything in this place. It's such a cute place and the desserts are Devine! I love the variety of cupcakes, cookies and macaroons! Yes! I said Macaroons!!! The flavors change and are updated on the daily chalk boards. Every flavor cupcake was delicious! The cookies are true to flavor but not over done with flavor.

I love that they have mini cupcakes as well as regular sized ones! I have read reviews and have wanted to visit this place for a while, and I'm so glad I finally did. Very cute and small bakery with a clean and friendly environment. As I walked in, I was greeted by a sweet lady (who I presume to be Mo) as well as the great display of cupcakes. Prices were clearly posted on the wall and the owner was very patient with me. I ended up getting a dozen mini cupcakes. I tried the carrot cake mini cupcake, and it was very delicious and moist - which is great because of is size! I will definitely be back and recommend anyone who passes by the small shop to drop by.

I'm going to start off by saying that I am a cupcake connoisseur and I'm usually excited when I find a new cupcakery. I decided to try this shop in particular because of their groupon offer. I decided to stop in during lunch to bring cupcakes to the office for a cupcake tasting just as we've done in the past with doughnuts and other delectable goods. We were all disgusted with the cupcakes. They were very appealing to the eye but our tastebuds were not fond of the flavors of an old refrigerator. The cupcakes were not fresh and taste as if they were in a fridge without baking soda (yuck!). Needless to say, the entire group was disappointed and I now know why I ignored this place during my last two years at VCU.

A dozen of minis. Alright taste for the price.

Awful customer service and pastry price does not match up to cost. Better off spending less on a donut next door

Flavorful but a little dry. I absolutely loved the toasted almond flavor. I'd go back just for that at $1 each for the mini cupcakes.

That employee also completely ignored me, despite the fact that I was clearly standing there waiting to be helped. I was there to pick up a DoorDash order for someone else, but based on the way I was treated, I can guarantee you I will not be choosing to spend my own money at this establishment. I ultimately had to ask another customer who was standing in line if they knew where to pick up a DoorDash order. The entire experience was incredibly dismissive and unprofessional. A simple acknowledgment or, at the very least, "We'll be with you in a moment" would have made a huge difference.

The ambiance was clean and orderly. Upon entering, you grab a serving tray lined with parchment and some tongs. The items are in a glass enclosed display that you have to open and place your selections on your tray for purchase. I settled on the pistachio cream filled pecan pastry, the almond twist, and strawberry shortcake. The beverage menu was extensive: matcha, flavored teas, cocoa, espresso/coffee, and more. We were greeted by pleasant staff at checkout and our orders placed in a parchment type bag for take out. They also have seating inside. The pastries were just sweet enough without being overly sweet, which I like. The pistachio cream was a perfect compliment to the pecan encrusted pastry. The almond twist was both flaky and crunchy with the sliced almonds on top, and the strawberry shortcake had layers of real strawberries, whipped topping and yellow cake that was moist. All were fresh. All in all, a great place to stop by for a morning pastry treat and tea/coffee while in the area,

I had been here once before and ordered my friend a birthday mini fruit tart and myself a cake. I remember wishing the cake was a bit more moist and curious to try other desserts. They have more of a takeout situation here, so I ordered my sweets to go and ate them at home. It's pretty tiny shop. I loved the cheesecake the most. The passionfruit tart was fun, although with passionfruit as the base flavor I wish there were more tropical topping and then maybe a plain custard one with the berries. It was still tasty. I'd recommend stopping by if you're in the area looking for some dessert.

It was brusque but mostly not overtly rude, perhaps they were just busy getting ready. I ordered the charcuterie board ($28), a chicken salad croissant sandwich ($14), and the Lavender Bees Knees ($8). The drink was very pretty but not super flavorful. The chicken salad was good enough, but I think the croissant alone would have been wonderful. The charcuterie board had a substitutions I was not made aware of upon ordering (no pepper jelly, blanched almonds instead of candied pecans, and a green onion mixed type goat cheese with bacon in it instead of maple bacon goat cheese). They did add little pickles and the presentation was pretty enough, but no flowers like the owner posted photo on here. The meat was pretty thick which could be a positive or negative depending on personal preference, and the meat was decent quality. The fig jam was very good. The waitress who was helping the other tables had brought my food out but didn't check on me at all. I had to go up to the counter again to order a cinnamon roll ($8) and a coffee ($5) which she brought out to me. The coffee was nice and dark (Cameo blend) and incredibly hot. The cinnamon roll was okay, not very much cinnamon flavor but it was delicate and the icing was decent. The interior was pretty and it was a good spot to read a book and spend a morning.
