I wanted to like this place given the atmosphere, but the service needs a major overhaul. On a slow night, we sat for 25 minutes without being approached. Once we finally found an employee to take our drink and food orders, we waited another hour only to discover the kitchen hadn't even started on our meal. We ended up canceling the order and leaving. The employee who helped us was great, but they seem to be unsupported by the rest of the team. It is a recurring issue mentioned by many other guests, and until the service flow improves, I cannot recommend dining here. read more

We came for Friday lunch. There were four of us plus our dog. We sat outside. It was about 90° out but very tolerable outside under the patio overhang/roof. We hadn't planned this stop so we did not have water for our dog. (We had water in the car.) But the staff were excellent and provided a dog bowl full of ice water. The ambiance was great. Mosaic was recommended from the bartender at Gil's as one of her favorites. We had been before but just for a beer at the beer bar. Lots of good looking yummy sounding food on the menu. What we got was great. The beer selection is one of the best in the area and the rest of the alcohol choices are pretty extensive. I think it would be hard to not find something you like here. Also lots of different places to sit, the bartender, the beer bar, the courtyard where they had live music, the outside bar and normal inside seating. read more

Not sure why reviews are mediocre. The pimento and Pascagoula burgers are OUTSTANDING. Probably top five of all time and I have lived in Kansas City, Birmingham, and now Memphis. When I told her that her behavior was unprofessional and uncalled for--and that she risked running off customers--she shrugged and said, "So what!" We were celebrating a friend's discharge from the hospital--after a mental health crisis--when this triggering confrontation occurred at Mosaic. It didn't stop there. That same friend waited outside the venue two nights in a row, hoping to confront the manager in the alley. We had to de-escalate the situation both nights. Now, tragically, our friend is back in the hospital, spiraling after the encounter and consumed with rage and distress over what happened. While the food was amazing, the service was lacking. The waitress had an attitude, and had trouble balancing her time. Granted it was "rush hour" but there was a full staff that day. It took approximately 15-20 minutes for drinks, and even then, she had to get a Martini she forgot. Food was 30 minutes after drinks were served and she didn't ask if anyone needed a refill. But to be honest that's all kind of petty on my behalf. The big turn off was the flies. Maybe it's the location in town or the close proximity to other restaurants. The flies owned the place. My arms got a regular work out shooing flies away. I don't care if it's the best food in existence, if there are flies everywhere....I'm not eating there! So will I go back? Don't think so! We came in on a Friday around dinner time, it was super busy but we were seated quickly, the vibe is always as cool as a cucumber here and there was live music outside. If you don't like loud places or if you're trying to chat over dinner, this is not the place to be lol, as we couldn't really hear each other, but again overall cool vibe we would return. We ordered the appetizers below and the pork belly app is my favorite, it was tender, flavorful, and the grits was the perfect add on. Service was ok, the kitchen was backed up the day and our server was updating us - so that's fine stuff happens. My family and I came here for dinner on a Saturday around 5:30pm. There was no wait for our party of 4 and we were seated right away. The weather was iffy so I'm glad we got seating under the covered area, especially because shortly after we arrived it began raining. Even with the rain, I love the indoor/outdoor feel of this restaurant! There's a nice breeze and it's quite relaxing. Our fabulous server Avery came over and took our drink and appetizer orders. I ordered a mixed berry mojito and my husband ordered a jungle juice. My first time having a berry mojito and it was so refreshing! We also ordered chicken skewers and lumpia for an appetizer. I didn't try the chicken skewers but the lumpia were delicious! I got a chicken gyro salad and it was done perfectly! Between the light dash of balsamic, tzatziki sauce, red onion, Kalamata olives, feta, and chicken, it was an explosion of flavor! As we ate, there was a band setting up for the evening. It did take a little while to get waited on (we were sitting inside), but after the initial wait, service was pretty prompt. Waiter was very patient and nice. The downside? My drinks were terrible. None of them were good, and I tried several different ones--tropical margarita, ultra premium margarita. Awful. Truly. If I go again, I will get some wine or something--maybe a beer. We ordered drinks (just sodas & iced teas - but they had an interesting looking drink menu that I would enjoy exploring on a future visit). Looking around, the atmosphere was so laid back. Patrons were eating, drinking, and just hanging out enjoying the food and weather. No body was rushing about but not in a lazy way - just a relaxed way. Our hummus appetizer came out and I was pleasantly surprised. It was a decent plain hummus with toasty pita triangles. My daughter ordered chicken nuggets with a side salad (no onions or tomatoes) and gave it all an 8/10. The salad came with feta and it was her first taste of feta - she's now a fan. From where I sat, the salad looked fresh and the nuggets looked light and crispy. I ordered the chicken bacon ranch panini and my mom got the chicken quesadilla so we could share both dishes. Both items were tasty. The panini was simple but that was its charm. Each ingredient added to it and it was exactly what it said it was. I also got a side salad (no onions) but mine was a Caesar and it was just an average salad. The quesadilla again was simple and delicious. I chose the keto-friendly cheeseburger salad, which turned out to be a burger patty with cheese served on top of a bed of romaine with parmesan cheese. Not completely keto (tomatos are technically a fruit) but it was a good portion and I enjoyed it, clearing the plate. With all of that, a beer (oops, not keto) from a local brewery while my friend had fish tacos with wine.
