I had a crazy December 2025 and truly went through it with a prior Dental Office which caused me to have tooth extracted and a cavity that was acknowledged but never treated. Prior to my appointment at Noble Dental Care I originally booked my appointment for February 2026 to give myself time to recover from my prior extractions and medical condition from the former dental work done. I was experiencing pain I thought was referred pain and TMJ. Prior to my appointment I received several phone calls from Noble Dental Care ensuring everything was set in place for my appointment from the nature of my visit, concerns, down to the billing. The day of my appointment I was greeted with by the bubbly front desk receptionists, who were professional and transparent about payments and obtaining on the spot text receipts of what I paid prior to services being started. The billing/financial advise was very honest with me and suggested for me not to be concerned about the other services I was seeking to have a consultation for as I needed a necessary root canal to prevent further infection on a tooth sitting on top of a nerve. I love how my health and well-being as a patient came first, and I was not pushed to have services performed that were not dire or necessary for my care that day. I have found my new dental care home! Dental Hygienist Samantha was a true star and gem when it came to taking my X-rays and cleaning, to my surprise she confirmed the prior office I went to did not do a great job. Samantha was so patient and kind with me as I was experiencing difficulty with opening my mouth because I was experiencing jaw clicking and popping. Samantha took her time and ensured the procedures would leave me with minimal pain and discomfort. I had the BEST cleaning and polishing of my teeth by Samantha / Noble Dental Care. My teeth looked like shiny pearl earrings just glistening and gleaming! Samantha was even able to show/tell me I had suspicious areas of concern that the Dentist would go over with me. My gum health was great considering I had localized perio from a prior tooth that was extracted and I did not have gum disease or evidence of it. Dr. Theresa Eliscar was the most professional a knowledgeable Dentist I ever had in my 30-something years of life! Dr. Eliscar is guru and really cares about her patients with a great sense of humor! Dr. Eliscar was able to detect an infection on a tooth I was told I needed a cavity to be refilled which to my surprise was sitting on a nerve that was causing me so much discomfort. Dr. Eliscar is true meaning of Black Excellence!!! Dr. Eliscar's knowledge and expertise got me whipped back into shape and out of the amount of pain and discomfort I was in for almost 30 days! The nerve on the infected tooth was removed and prepped for an upcoming root canal and the tooth was infused with medicine that smells and tastes like cloves! Cloves is a natural remedy most POC use for all sorts of alignment, which has led me to sip on some clove tea in between the meds prescribed to me. Dr. Eliscar allowed me to take breaks in between my procedure and time out procedures and protocols were followed at this office to ensure I as the patient did not have an adverse reaction. I'm still recovering but this office is truly amazing and a blessing. I had so many X-rays + CT scans performed by different providers prior, and Nobel Dental PC was able to detect an infection on a tooth with a cavity that was sitting on top of a nerve! I was in so much pain and discomfort for the month of December 2025 into the new year. The Dentist, Hygenist, Support Staff, and Receptionists here are truly amazing. Dr. Eliscar even was able to adjust my bite temporarily to prevent further discomfort and complications. This Dental Office is the epitome of Black Excellence!

Where do I begin…read more. I was very excited a year ago to give my money to a black dental office but the services and the subsequent billing scam has been a disaster. I received multiple fillings and a crown on a tooth which had had a previous root canal. There was a single dentist on staff during my visit for care, and although she did her best jumping between my room and 3-4 others in the late afternoon early evening hours the care was subpar. I left in pain as the lidocaine shots were done haphazardly, and fillings done shoddily. I am now receiving an outstanding bill a year later with improper quotes for payments which were received, seems fraudulent on the of the provider, as I paid in full out of pocket. It's interesting to also be slapped with a bill a year post services with inaccurate quotes of payments received to the provider. If you enjoy insufficient care, lingering pain, and exorbitant and inaccurate billing, Noble is the place to go.

When I returned she of course remembered me, and her practice has grown into a beautiful space, with advanced tools and methods. Dr. Ifill's expertise and care for both her patients and the community are indicative of the consummate professional and representative of her patients that's she's always been; she wants us all to be healthy and happy, and that's what her care is about. Her work is more than dentistry: Dr. Ifill is a philanthropist, an instructor and mentor for new physicians entering the field, and a model of excellence as a Black woman business owner. What's she's accomplished couldn't have been easy, yet after all these years, she's still keeping tireless hours in her office, with patients and on the job. She's just as personable and friendly as she's always been, patient with any questions and concerns. I appreciate the time taken at Garden Dental to educate me in how to best care for my teeth; they make recommendations of procedures and products that I accept or don't as I or anybody can so choose, and the goodie bags with extra floss, toothbrush and paste are great too. From the chats during consults, the lovely front desk staff who also know your name, and make me feel at home with every visit, Garden Dental makes something that could be a chore more akin to visiting with a neighbor for coffee.

She is NYU dental faculty, but she could still be over-treating. When my neighborhood dentist was on vacation and I was due for a checkup after giving birth, I went to a dentist in Midtown who said I had no cavities, but that dentist said I should consider getting an implant for a molar that I was born without. When I saw Dr Tracz the next day about the implant, she said that I had 2 cavities that the dentist hadn't noticed the day before. I didn't do anything about them and had a hard time getting out with a full time job and a baby, but I figured I was safe because of the previous day's dentist. Six months later, I went to Dr. Tracz for a cleaning, and she said I had 5 cavities, including one cavity that needed replacement. A few days later, I went to my neighborhood dentist who said that I had only 2 cavities. She is definitely a perfectionist and very cautious. She has twice suggested that I get invisalign (cost = many thousands + frequent visits), says "well if you don't do what I suggest, then this bad thing will happen", and also has this idea that middle-aged people who had braces should find their retainers from childhood and start wearing them again. I'm really not sure which approach is appropriate --- the more conservative approach of my neighborhood dentist and the dentist I saw once in Midtown, or her more aggressive approach.

The chip repair bonding fell off at day 8 without any pressure on it at the time. I went back, and they took me fairly fast. The dentist TODAY fixed the chip again, filing away a lot more (which I didn't know). 5 hours later the repair has fallen out, and I find that he decided to 'created a bigger bond' by filing away more of my front tooth, thinning it out twice as far as the original crack. 5 hours. It fell out when I was brushing my teeth for the night. I will not be going back, and I this point I feel the dentist is not qualified to do this procedure.

She let me put on Netflix on the TV and went to work. Very pleasant and quick. She let me know that I grind my teeth and mentioned that I might benefit from a night guard. She even let me know there are non prescription options that I could try. I've always known I've needed one but never felt comfortable enough with a dentist to do it but I took the plunge with Park Slope Dentistry. The dentist was very friendly and personable.
