They accomplished the task efficiently, thoroughly, and professionally. So I'll gladly recommend their work, and the technician who, initially, scoped the pipe lines to evaluate our problematic plumbing. Jay was spot-on with his camera equipment; and pinpointed the exact trouble spots in our system that always forced me to call out an SOS to a myriad of plumbers in the past. This time, luckily, a positive relationship was established with MVP! Jay was on top of the situation from the get-go as he arranged a reasonable agreement with me through Nelson at the head-office. ESTIMATE from MOST VALUABLE PLUMBER: $8240! TOTAL COST from J.R. ROOTER & PLUMBING: $500. TIME TO FIX from J.R. ROOTER & PLUMBING: 3 hours which includes running the parts needed! And, the plumber, Ricky was brilliant and didn't need to cut some of the internal wood frame to do the job! SHORT SUMMARY: A nice young man came out to bid on a plumbing job I was worried would be around $1000 from a plumber, where I knew a handyman would probably do it for around $500. It was a hard-to-reach pea-trap drain leak under a tub. The plumber went outside to bid on a job with the big, important office boss. When the poor kid came back in to give me a bid, it was so outlandish I LAUGHED OUT LOUD. After I gave him the lecture that was intended for the idiot in the office who came up with the $8250 estimate, this guy left, maybe feeling embarrassed?! I had a disappointing experience with this company. After the first visit, I called them back because the issue wasn't resolved. It took a second visit for them to realize the problem was more serious and that a main clean-out was needed for proper access. They quoted me an outrageous $5,500 for the work, but I got it done with another licensed company for only $1,500. What made things worse was that MVP claimed I knew the real issue all along, which was completely untrue. I had known I needed to change pipes elsewhere, not where they insisted I needed pipes replaced. Their assumptions felt like an excuse for the poor service they provided. When I asked them to come back since they couldn't properly access the problem the first time and now I have made it issue assessable, they told me they don't offer any warranty. This was a huge red flag, especially since other companies do provide warranties on their work. Additionally, they claimed to have done a camera inspection but never provided the results, leaving me skeptical of what they actually did. Overall, my experience with this company was a waste of both time and money. I won't be returning, and I recommend others avoid them if they want reliable, transparent service. read more

My wife called in a slow draining kitchen sink unknown to me all the showers had backed up also Alex arrived within 30 minutes of the service Call as anybody who's had a backed up drain time feels like it's standing still while waiting for the plumber to arrive, he got to work immediately and diagnosed the issue. He was able to run the snake auger and cleaned out all the drains in the house while containing any and all sewage from spilling out. The day before our baby shower (Friday) we had the worst case scenario come up, roots in our pipes. The initial person who detected the issue Jay Frias was very informative, quick to be on site and reassured that it can be fixed. We decided to not have the pipes fixed the same day as our baby shower so ( Sunday 8am) they were out. Again more work needed to be done, so Monday the dream team Manny, Nacho and Leno came out showed us the issue, explained what needed to be done and even went above and beyond helped clear out the waste that developed on the side of the home. They completed the job before 1pm and put everything back even the 2-3 foot hole they dug up was covered and grass covered back. Highly recommend the company as a whole but also the employees mentioned represent true professionalism in their field. Joseph of MVP did an excellent job. Our old gas water heater tank died and leaked everywhere. At the same time our kitchen sink stopped draining. He came, assessed the situation and explained all the options. He listened to our needs and proposed solutions that would work for what we wanted. We were very surprised and pleased that he and his colleagues managed to do all the work in one day, which involved removing the old gas fired water heater and replacing it with a hybrid gas/electric tankless water heater and replumbing the kitchen sink to avoid the blocked old pipework. Both jobs were not all all straightforward and involved changes of plans when unforeseen problems showed up. I had a clogged kitchen sink which my son and I tried to clear with a smaller hand held snake but just couldn't break through the grease buildup. I called another plumbing business that has been around for many many many years and they quoted $495 to clear out about 30 feet of pipe with no guarantee it would clear it out and $1925 to hydro jet the same line if I wanted to go that route. i decided I needed a second opinion. So I called MVP-Plumbing and Frank (the technician) quoted me $129 once he arrived and I was pleased that he was willing to try and provided 30 days warranty. We had the gas company come for a routine check and were told we had a leak and our gas would be turned off until it was fixed and tested. Gabriel came right away and assessed the situation. Once we decided the path forward we discovered that the gas line we had was made out of sprinkler PVC pipe. We were so upset but Gabriel and Korin walked us through the process step by step. Gabriel and his team worked 2 very long days and had to dig up 120 feet of pipe. Everything is 100% back to normal you wouldn't have even known they were here. I appreciate their sense of urgency knowing we had no gas and a toddler. They handled everything with patience and kindness and made us feel better dealing with a crazy situation. Nelson, at MVP, gave me a clear explanation of the cost options, depending on my needs. I felt he was very up front, which I appreciated. Ramon arrived right on time. We discussed the problem (item lodged in toilet drain), and he explained the steps he would try first, which would be the least expensive remedy. Fortunately, simple auguring worked. I had tried that, but Ramon had a much larger, commercial grade unit, which I did not have. Totally worth the $99.00 it cost me to not try to remove the toilet and clear the blockage from underneath. After the drain cleared, Ramon waited a few minutes and performed two or three more toilet paper tests, just to make sure there was no backup. He was very thorough, courteous and neat. Javier Fausto was my tech and he did a great job installing my new water tank heater. He was very professional, experience and answer all my questions. I was so happy with him that I needed a new shut off valve and pressure regulator and I gave him that job too. He was very friendly and I feel comfortable calling him again for other jobs. I also asked him about AC units because I will be needing one and he immediately called his boss to send someone. This company ROCKS. They (especially Fernando) saved us. We had a huge party on NYEve...80+ guests...and had a huge surprise plumbing emergency. Stuff was bubbling up from all three bathrooms and from the freaking hardwood floors in downstairs bathroom. New Years Eve...in the middle of a party! While every other company we called (and we called MANY) said "sorry we don't have any technicians tonight," this company stepped up. Fernando was there in less than 45 mins and patched up the issue (so that we could carry on with the party/guests) in 20 mins. Can't say enough thanks to Isaiah and MVP for helping my 86-year-old mother with a kitchen faucet leak under the counter while my brother and I were away. It was truly an emergency for her, and after contacting Clairabelle at MVP who was the best, it only took them about an hour to send Isaiah who was so kind and great to my mom. We had been having intermittent issues with our hot water pressure for some time now. Anthony Castillo stopped by on time and asked more about the issue. When I mentioned we had a new pressure regulator installed recently, he said "Did they adjust it?" I wasn't sure, which led him to try adjusting the regulator before recommending anything more drastic. 10 minutes later, and we have much better hot water pressure, with good instructions on how to improve it further. His work ethic was impeccable, he was efficient, friendly, and extremely knowledgeable on the problem.
