This company (Most Valuable Plumber) was fantastic - especially Franco Orellana. They were very professional, providing a detailed estimate before work was started and a detailed invoice when work was completed that included many photos of every stage of the work for future reference. The work they did was top notch and they cleaned the area beautifully. (Which required hand carrying broken cement up a steep hill of steps - not easy.) The work involved digging out old galvanized pipe including going under the house which is on a concrete slab - not easy and yet they completed it undaunted and the finished result was smooth concrete and repaired wood siding that hardly shows. They also were careful to not destroy the tile floor in the bathroom. They were, in a word, great! If you want the job done professionally, use MVP. read more

Had them come out to unclog a sewer line for their advertised $33 drain cleaning. They weren't able to clear it and instead wanted to upsell a $395 "hydro-jetting". I declined the $395 and had another rooter company come out: took less than 5 minutes for the new plumber to root the blockage out. read more

It started with a clogged toilet, then overflow to our tub. 66 years of cermic and cast iron pipes finally had to be dealt with. I contacted MVP on a Saturday morning and they responded immediately. We got a quote for each part of the job, which was big but necessary. Joaquin and his fellow workers were extremely communicative, polite, and the harest workers I have ever seen! They spend a whole day and a half under the crawlspace of the house, in cold rainy weather. Then they spend two cold, rainy days digging, puling out cracked cermic and eroded cast iron pipes, extracting roots in the pipe system from trees that are no longer in the yard, and installing replacement pipes. Also, because of the age of the house, they added three newaccess pipes to the system in the event of any future problems. It's been not more than a few hours now, and you cannot tell that anyone had dug large holes in the yard! Amazing! read more

We have interacted with Most Valuable Plumbing twice. The first time they relocated a gas line valve connected to a new fireplace unit we had just installed. The work was completed as requested, but they charged $1600 (!!) which I had suspected at the time was quite high. The second time, I requested a quote to move the same gas valve FIVE INCHES to the left. They quoted us $895. I decided to shop around and within 30minutes received three new quotes at significantly more reasonable prices ($325, $350 and $550 to be exact). It is clear that -- while this company performs satisfactory work -- they over-charge for this work. I would recommend looking elsewhere. read more
