There was couple of issues I was not happy about. However, they sent Ryan the same day to address all my concerns and went beyond expectations to re- route the plumbing and fix the stucco for outside clean out access. Our toilet flooded around 10pm on Saturday night and sewage water was filling the tub. Our trusted plumber was out of town so we called MVP plumbing. They arrived and with the help of a snake and Camera were able to locate the exact area where the line was blocked. Whether or not there was a crack on the cast iron that allegedly led to the growth of a root inside the cast iron pipe is dubious to say the least. However they could not see the crack on cast iron on Saturday night even with camera. All they told me was that the snake was not able to open the clog. One of the guys told me that there is a rotator type of snake that could work but they did not use it and instead told me that the only way was to dig a hole in my son's bedroom floor to locate the damaged clogged cast iron and replace it with a pvc type of pipe. They said it was going to cost me little over $4,000!! Since none of the bathrooms or sinks or tubs could be used and the next day was a Sunday, I agreed. After talking to my trusted plumber on Monday, I was told that the cost at the most should have been around $2,000. I have no one to blame but myself for putting my trust in this company. They were very good at pitching their message causing you to worry if the problem was not taken care of immediately and I for one believed them. The cost of cement and a piece of piping must have been very little. and even assuming $200 an hour labor for 6 hours ( I am being generous with hours). I should not have paid more than $2500. I now need to purchase tiles to install in that area. Folks, please stay away from this company, they take advantage of you when you are in a bind. I understand this is a business and there are expenses and bills must be paid but scamming people at vulnerable times is not good business practice. Please stay away from this company! read more

MVP (Most Valuable Plumber) was called to my apartment Sunday 5/15 the assistant plumber they sent was Mario and he was outstanding. He was very friendly and explained everything that he was doing to the kitchen sink and the pipe underneath. A prior plumber the day before only drained my sink and left a mess. However Mario checked the sink and noticed that the previous person did not snake the pipe so Mario did snake the pipe and emptied the sink by filling a bucket and pouring it in my toiled. When he was done he did something that no other plumber has done before he totally cleaned the mess under the sink it was spotless and then clean the kitchen floor wiping up the dirt and the water. I called the owner of MVP this morning told him how good Mario was, he then thanked me and we had a nice conversation about the plumbing business and the kind of people that he employs he told me which I have never heard was "We treat everyone's home as if it were there own". This company (Most Valuable Plumber) was fantastic - especially Franco Orellana. They were very professional, providing a detailed estimate before work was started and a detailed invoice when work was completed that included many photos of every stage of the work for future reference. The work they did was top notch and they cleaned the area beautifully. (Which required hand carrying broken cement up a steep hill of steps - not easy.) The work involved digging out old galvanized pipe including going under the house which is on a concrete slab - not easy and yet they completed it undaunted and the finished result was smooth concrete and repaired wood siding that hardly shows. They also were careful to not destroy the tile floor in the bathroom. They were, in a word, great! If you want the job done professionally, use MVP. read more

It started with a clogged toilet, then overflow to our tub. 66 years of cermic and cast iron pipes finally had to be dealt with. I contacted MVP on a Saturday morning and they responded immediately. We got a quote for each part of the job, which was big but necessary. Joaquin and his fellow workers were extremely communicative, polite, and the harest workers I have ever seen! They spend a whole day and a half under the crawlspace of the house, in cold rainy weather. Then they spend two cold, rainy days digging, puling out cracked cermic and eroded cast iron pipes, extracting roots in the pipe system from trees that are no longer in the yard, and installing replacement pipes. Also, because of the age of the house, they added three newaccess pipes to the system in the event of any future problems. It's been not more than a few hours now, and you cannot tell that anyone had dug large holes in the yard! Amazing! read more

Had them come out to unclog a sewer line for their advertised $33 drain cleaning. They weren't able to clear it and instead wanted to upsell a $395 "hydro-jetting". I declined the $395 and had another rooter company come out: took less than 5 minutes for the new plumber to root the blockage out. read more
