They came to my house with a 75-foot snake and tried to snake out the problem in my bathroom to no avail. They recommend hydro-jetting for an additional $300. The original cost would have been $899. They sent two invoice proposals of what I needed; the first was $3800 to dig in the ground for the "broken/collapsed pipe", the second for $5800 if they had to dig through concrete. I DID NOT FEEL COMFORTABLE WITH THAT less than 10-minute assessment. I have had the work done, it was a paper stoppage, and the flow is better than ever. Gabriel did a great job, he is an excellent communicator. He tried very hard make sure everything not only worked correctly but looks good too. Minus 1 star because this place is not cheap, if you are on a budget this is probably not going to be the company for you. It's my own fault, I was panicking and moved forward but I learned a very expensive lesson, it's ok to take a day to get more quotes. You will survive 1 more day without water. Saving grace is the customer service Gabriel provided, and his whole work crew did really good work too. They were hard workers, and kept a clean site. They are a good bunch of guys. Most of them said leave it, some said they have to remove large parts of concrete to be able to cut and cap the pipe that was supplying the gas for the demolished concrete built in backyard barbecue grill. I normally don't like leaving reviews, but I feel it's important to share my experience so others don't go through the same situation. I originally called this company for my kitchen drain issue because they offered free estimates and showed up on Google. They came and tried snaking, but it didn't work. So, we did a hydro jet cleaning with a camera inspection and found out tree roots had broken into the pipe. At first, they used some tool to locate the problem and told me it was in the middle of my kitchen. Their first quote was $5,300, which I negotiated down to $4,800. I agreed and they started excavation. However, when they actually opened it up, the pipe was right near the wall, not deep in the middle of the kitchen as they first claimed. I argued the price was unfair, and we finally settled at $3,500. After digging, they suddenly told me they found more roots in another pipe and that my pipes were in bad condition. Then they pushed me to pay an extra $7,500 for epoxy coating--on top of the $3,500--so basically over $10,000 total. I stopped the job immediately. Later, the workers asked for another $500 for the day's work even though I had already paid a deposit, and it was the company that kept changing the price. I also never received a proper written contract. When I consulted other plumbers, they told me this company was adding unnecessary work just to make money. Even though plumbers are running a business, what they tried to charge me was extreme. Other honest plumbers gave me quotes around $4,800 for the whole job, not over $10,000. I am still collecting estimates from other companies, but I want to warn people: please be very careful. In my opinion, this company was not honest, and I don't think it's right to treat customers this way. After leaving my honest review, the company called me accusing me of lying because I didn't complete the job. For the record, they did demand an additional $7,500 after excavation, which is why I stopped the job. Calling customers to pressure them to remove reviews is unprofessional and concerning. Conclusion : I was able to fix it for $2750 from another plumber read more

Contacted these guys after dealing with a billion leaks all week - our pipes were beyond repair and the state of the plumbing situation in the house was pretty bad. They were able to fix our issue, identity other issues as they came and completed the job super quick. We were literally in the middle of moving and didn't feel like they were in the way at all. They showed us pictures, videos and explained our problems to us prior to starting the work. The work was extensive and after the job was completed we shopped quotes just to give ourselves peace of mind - they were definetely the most affordable out of the bunch. MVP service was not for me and I would not use their service in the future. I had a blockage in my waste line recently. It started with snaking the line, to hydrojet the line, to dig and replace multiple sections, to a trenchless new line for about 30 feet of waste line from the house to main sewage connection. After paying for 3 different recommended services by their technician and supervisor for almost $4k and my line is still clogged, I had to stop the bleeding and will find another solution. Let me start by saying I called MVP earlier tonight when I came home to an outdoor leak. They gave me a window of 11pm-1am and the plumber, Christopher, arrived shortly after 11. He was kind and efficient and he diagnosed the issue quickly and gave me two options for repair, one that was more complicated and would fix everything but could not be done tonight and one that was relatively simple, could be done pretty quickly, and would ensure I would at least have running water in the morning. I went to discuss the options with my wife while Christopher went to hos truck to look for parts and to get quotes from his supervisor. My wife and I chose the simpler option, which was described as replacing a small amount of pvc pipe and gluing a few couplings together. This was all accessible work. No crawlspace, no concrete to cut, nothing more to dig outside of some mud that had already been scooped out to diagnose the issue. Still, it was late at night so I was expecting a relatively pricey quote on top of MVP's non-refundable fee. What I was not expecting to hear was the astronomical quote given for the work that was described to me. To his credit, Christopher seemed embarrassed to be giving me that price when I questioned it. I can't help but feel that MVP was simply taking advantage of the fact that it was late at night and they were already here. I sent Christopher away and I'm still without water and out $125 for the late night call. I will call a local plumber under the cover of daylight and if they give me a similar quote for the exact same job I will come back and update this review but tonight I'm really kicking myself for calling Most Valuable Plumber. I'm leaving two stars for the efficiency of getting someone here at night within their window and for Christopher who seemed perfectly nice and capable. UPDATE: A local plumber completed the more complicated job for less than half of MVP's late night quote for the "simple" job. He was done in less than an hour once he had the parts and the water was on half an hour after that. read more

Reached out via Yelp and then called me which I appreciated. Owner was very sweet over the phone. Was able to answer my questions and explain next steps. It wasn't an emergency but we were able to get someone out here next day. They came earlier than the schedule time frame. I didn't mind. I ended up finishing with my meetings sooner than anticipated. Maybe would suggest doing a phone call or text if the plumber can go sooner. Luckily our issue was something they were able to get done in a few minutes. I recently hired MVP to diagnose an issue with our sink and snake the line/un-jam the garbage disposal if appropriate. When the technician arrived, he only tried resetting the disposal before very confidently declaring the disposal was broken and a replacement was needed. He was about to leave the property before I asked him if he had even attempted to unjam the garbage disposal, to which he said no. He seemed very reluctant to do this, but agreed to give it a shot. After going back into the unit, he only put his hand inside the disposal to "clear out" debris, but did not use any tools or his hands to attempt to unstick the rotor. He then quoted his experience saying that the garbage disposal was definitely due for replacement. To this end, they quoted $575 to replace a garbage disposal, which is definitely high, bordering on exorbitant. I hired another plumbing company to take a look at it, and they were able to unjam the garbage disposal in 2 minutes. While they could have also replaced the garbage disposal for additional fees, they acted with integrity and said the disposal was in perfect working order. From my perspective, it seems that MVP deliberately tries to take advantage of folks that may not have trade expertise, and then upsell aggressively. All in all, a huge waste of time and money. read more

Called to have a leaky bidet fixed. They came out quickly and "fixed" it by tightening the connector. It leaked that night. They came out the next day and replaced to connector. The plumbers were kind, efficient and very professional. There was an issue with the billing. I was able to contact the owners who were very helpful in resolving the matter.
