Let me start by saying I called MVP earlier tonight when I came home to an outdoor leak. They gave me a window of 11pm-1am and the plumber, Christopher, arrived shortly after 11. He was kind and efficient and he diagnosed the issue quickly and gave me two options for repair, one that was more complicated and would fix everything but could not be done tonight and one that was relatively simple, could be done pretty quickly, and would ensure I would at least have running water in the morning. I went to discuss the options with my wife while Christopher went to hos truck to look for parts and to get quotes from his supervisor. My wife and I chose the simpler option, which was described as replacing a small amount of pvc pipe and gluing a few couplings together. This was all accessible work. No crawlspace, no concrete to cut, nothing more to dig outside of some mud that had already been scooped out to diagnose the issue. Still, it was late at night so I was expecting a relatively pricey quote on top of MVP's non-refundable fee. What I was not expecting to hear was the astronomical quote given for the work that was described to me. To his credit, Christopher seemed embarrassed to be giving me that price when I questioned it. I can't help but feel that MVP was simply taking advantage of the fact that it was late at night and they were already here. I sent Christopher away and I'm still without water and out $125 for the late night call. I will call a local plumber under the cover of daylight and if they give me a similar quote for the exact same job I will come back and update this review but tonight I'm really kicking myself for calling Most Valuable Plumber. I'm leaving two stars for the efficiency of getting someone here at night within their window and for Christopher who seemed perfectly nice and capable. UPDATE: A local plumber completed the more complicated job for less than half of MVP's late night quote for the "simple" job. He was done in less than an hour once he had the parts and the water was on half an hour after that. read more

It wasn't an emergency but we were able to get someone out here next day. They came earlier than the schedule time frame. I didn't mind. I ended up finishing with my meetings sooner than anticipated. Maybe would suggest doing a phone call or text if the plumber can go sooner. Luckily our issue was something they were able to get done in a few minutes. She set up an appointment for Carlos, the plumber, to come to my house. Carlos arrived on time. He was pleasant, knowledgeable and patient. When he realized the plumbing issue would require more than just snaking the line, he carefully outlined his recommendation and answered my questions until I understood my options. The other workers who arrived to do the hydrojet were also patient, kind and informed. When they discovered the issue could only be resolved with new pipe, they explained all my options. I needed immediate service for a broken sprinkler main. Receptionist on the phone was eager to help and got a technician to my house within an hour. He quickly got to work, fixed the initial problem but then found another leak. He willingly stayed until both leaks were fixed and the water was back on. He patiently worked for over 5 hours to complete the job. I gave a 4 just because it was expensive, more than I had imagined, but it got done in one day so I had water in my house again. read more

I knew at some point soon I would need my clay sewer pipes repaired in my 1911 craftsman home. With a backup and apparent collapse of a section, I need to replace the entire clay pipe to the front of our property. Being able to have the availability to finance was a God sent. I recently hired MVP to diagnose an issue with our sink and snake the line/un-jam the garbage disposal if appropriate. When the technician arrived, he only tried resetting the disposal before very confidently declaring the disposal was broken and a replacement was needed. He was about to leave the property before I asked him if he had even attempted to unjam the garbage disposal, to which he said no. He seemed very reluctant to do this, but agreed to give it a shot. After going back into the unit, he only put his hand inside the disposal to "clear out" debris, but did not use any tools or his hands to attempt to unstick the rotor. He then quoted his experience saying that the garbage disposal was definitely due for replacement. To this end, they quoted $575 to replace a garbage disposal, which is definitely high, bordering on exorbitant. I hired another plumbing company to take a look at it, and they were able to unjam the garbage disposal in 2 minutes. While they could have also replaced the garbage disposal for additional fees, they acted with integrity and said the disposal was in perfect working order. From my perspective, it seems that MVP deliberately tries to take advantage of folks that may not have trade expertise, and then upsell aggressively. All in all, a huge waste of time and money. read more

Called to have a leaky bidet fixed. They came out quickly and "fixed" it by tightening the connector. It leaked that night. They came out the next day and replaced to connector. The plumbers were kind, efficient and very professional. There was an issue with the billing. I was able to contact the owners who were very helpful in resolving the matter. These guys did a great, efficient, professional job. I had sewage coming up through the toilets and showers of both of my bathrooms at 10pm. I called three or four other "24/7" plumbers and MVP were the first ones to actually answer. They gave me a window of 11pm-1am and showed up at midnight. He showed me the camera feed as he explained what was needed and I was able to feel confident that he wasn't embellishing to pad the bill. Called MVP for their $33 drain clearing special - Juan arrived right on time and was absolutely fantastic. Professional, knowledgeable, and extremely respectful. First, Juan tried the 30ft line to clear my drain but it didn't work, he then happily tried a 100ft line. Unfortunately my drain needed to be hydrojetted...MVP provided me a quote of $395. While waiting, I called around and got quotes of $450 and above, so MVPs price was great. They ended up sending someone else within the hour to hydrojet and got my drain cleared! Very good experience and will use MVP again in the future. My hat goes off to Juan - wish more young 20 year-olds had the respect and work ethic he has. Their ad is actually true being an honest company! The woman who answered the phone was very nice. They gave me an estimate for time of arrival and their serviceman Shawn showed up exactly 5 minutes earlly. I explained to him I was having financial hardship, and the timing was bad for an eroded gas pipe. They were kind enough to give me a cheap alternative to buy me time which I could do myself and then they also gave me the repair estimate price, which sounds very fair and reasonable. They even reassured me that it wasn't an emergency situation where I needed to have it fixed right away. The fact they were so honest really means a lot to me and many of us out there. All of the supervisors were available by phone and responded to Shawn with consult ideas. I was extremely extremely impressed by this company. I'm still getting more estimates, but if they are all close, I will definitely use them because the honesty thing makes this company amazing. The plumber they sent was Ignacio Sr. I sent a request to replace our Garbage disposal and told them that we already have the item just need to replace. The "plumber" that they sent didn't seem he knows what he was doing. He didn't use all the parts that was included in the box. The owner or manager, Nelson, reached out to me personally to address my concerns and make things right. He sent another plumber, Franco, to my home the same day and Franco did an excellent job in properly installing the garbage disposal and using all the parts included. want to bring to your attention the fact that MVP man charged us $495 + $ 150 for a job which had nothing to do with the leak under my drain. The leak is coming from under the faucet and from the air trap as water collects near the sink by splashing on to the side. Dear All, I am happy to say that after my review MVP reached out to me through Ms Clarabell who was more than happy to emphasize that customer satisfaction was the priority of their firm and offered to reimburse all the money charged as I had been so disappointed with their service. We had our main water line (from the city to our house) burst overnight (Saturday to Sunday) with no way to shut off the water. Ehhh. I'm a bit torn on this review. I had a slow drain for a while, found MVP online, saw the $33 drain cleaning special, submitted my information. Company was very responsive, called me right away, scheduled someone to come out same day. I explained I had a slow drain, no emergency, simply needed a snake. They took my credit card information on the phone, and confirmed the $33 price estimate. Other half of the review. Guy comes out takes a look then says, "It's gonna cost you $129". I'm like ok, what was the $33 estimate for? He didn't really have an answer.... At that point I'm like whatever, do the job. He did the job fine. Great. Then, oh if they are going to charge the cc, then there will be an additional 3%. Ok. So job done, it was an easy job any plumber could've done it, but you see where this is going....so unfortunately the review is based on how I believe the company handled things and it felt pretty typical for them. read more
