These guys did a great, efficient, professional job. I had sewage coming up through the toilets and showers of both of my bathrooms at 10pm. I called three or four other "24/7" plumbers and MVP were the first ones to actually answer. They gave me a window of 11pm-1am and showed up at midnight. Alex quickly diagnosed the problem and told me our plumbing was in need of major surgery. He showed me the camera feed as he explained what was needed and I was able to feel confident that he wasn't embellishing to pad the bill. The next morning, the repair crew arrived early to get started. They kept me informed about everything they were doing and were clear and responsive to all of my questions. The plumber they sent was Ignacio Sr. I sent a request to replace our Garbage disposal and told them that we already have the item just need to replace. The "plumber" that they sent didn't seem he knows what he was doing. He didn't use all the parts that was included in the box. Called MVP for their $33 drain clearing special - Juan arrived right on time and was absolutely fantastic. Professional, knowledgeable, and extremely respectful. First, Juan tried the 30ft line to clear my drain but it didn't work, he then happily tried a 100ft line. Unfortunately my drain needed to be hydrojetted...MVP provided me a quote of $395. While waiting, I called around and got quotes of $450 and above, so MVPs price was great. They ended up sending someone else within the hour to hydrojet and got my drain cleared! Their ad is actually true being an honest company! The woman who answered the phone was very nice. They gave me an estimate for time of arrival and their serviceman Shawn showed up exactly 5 minutes earlly. I explained to him I was having financial hardship, and the timing was bad for an eroded gas pipe. They were kind enough to give me a cheap alternative to buy me time which I could do myself and then they also gave me the repair estimate price, which sounds very fair and reasonable. They even reassured me that it wasn't an emergency situation where I needed to have it fixed right away. The fact they were so honest really means a lot to me and many of us out there. They took my credit card information on the phone, and confirmed the $33 price estimate. Other half of the review. Guy comes out takes a look then says, "It's gonna cost you $129". I'm like ok, what was the $33 estimate for? He didn't really have an answer.... At that point I'm like whatever, do the job. He did the job fine. Great. Then, oh if they are going to charge the cc, then there will be an additional 3%. Ok. This was deceptive marketing. Buyers beware. Updating to add that the company sent me a private message trying to guilt me into changing my review. Had the business done what they advertised they wouldn't have to do that. Not coming into a home without even having a mask on at all during a pandemic never should have happened. The same should be said about how there are *multiple* reviews here that state that these folks change their prices once in the door. I don't care if you are a corporate business or a family run business, you've got to do right by people when you provide the service, not try to guilt your way out of things when you fail to do as you were supposed to. Just do right the first time and things will take care of themselves. Our water heater stopped working on Sunday; we tried multiple times, but the pilot wouldn't light. We couldn't reach our usual plumbing company, so we googled others and ended up calling a few. No one could get to us the same day until we called MVP Plumbing; they set us up with an appointment in a 2-hour window just a couple hours later. Alex showed up promptly and begins to look at our existing unit to see what the issue was, he tried everything, but the pilot would not light. Our unit was 12 years old and lasted a long time, but it had died. Alex said we did have a good brand and he could get us the same brand, would pick it up and install it first thing in the morning. We called our home warranty and got pre-approved to have MVP do the work. We confirmed with Alex and said everything up for the next morning. The next morning, he picked up the new unit, arrived promptly and got right to work. He drained our existing unit, dismantled it, packed it up and hauled it away at the end. He got the new unit installed, strapped and working within 2 hours. Shortly after we had hot water again! Payment and invoicing were easy and digital; he emailed everything to me so I could submit for reimbursement to our home warranty company via email easily. Alex was professional, prompt, competent, patient, kind and answered all our questions; he also gave us direct number so that if we had any issues he would come right back and make sure it was fixed immediately.
