I was booked at the wrong motel 6 only to find out they did not have room at the correct location. The staff was very nice but every building smells like smoke, even the non smoking rooms smell like smoke. The beds are rock hard, the heat hardly works and the location is very dirty and sketchy. read more

Pros: bed is fairly comfortable, close to the highway and easy to find Cons: -parking space is atrocious. There are people parked with boats and they basically take up the whole parking lot -no hairdryer -water temperature was not consistent -toilet didn't have a lid -dirty bathroom, hair everywhere -no free WiFi. Charging us either 2.99 or 4.99 I had a problem with this hotel. I called to book for a night and the representative took down my credit card info and everything, and told me it'll be X $. When I arrived at this location, the front desk told me they didn't charge my credit card and was only put on hold and charged me much higher than what the representative at the phone said. I felt cheated because I was given the assumption that I was getting that nightly rate the representative told me on the phone. Oh well. Lesson learned i guess. read more

Not a bad place to crash if you just need a bed for the night. Not too bad on train noise, you could still hear them but not to loud. Staff was friendly, bed was clean, bathroom was updated recently. Bathroom was very nice. Don't stay in flagstaff on graduation weekend if you can help it. Bed was hard though. Pros. Not too expensive. New Bathroom. Clean. Friendly staff. Cons. I gave this place 2 stars even though I think it deserves only 1 (it is better than a roach motel). It earns 1 star for how nice the room looked & being clean. It earns no other stars as the bed is beyond uncomfortable, the pillows are giant hard & kill ur neck & the towels are not large enough to cover crap.  Plud no amenities (e.g., tissue, shampoo, conditioner, lotion) rather sucks. We travelled from California to Flagstaff and desperately needed sleep. It was pretty early in the morning when we got there, but they allowed us to check in and get into our room right away. Very pleased with the amount of parking available and how clean the room was. Unsatisfied with the front desk guy who was working around 3-4pm 6/23/16. I made a reservation and asked for a bottom floor room because my dog is older and struggles climbing stairs. Upon check-in he said there were no bottom floor rooms available. So I left with my key to the 2nd room floor, tried to get my dog to go up the stairs and she just couldn't...no elevator either. I went back to the office (and on my walk there noticed several bottom floor rooms were in fact available, I could see through the window!) and explained how it was going to be impossible to stay in a 2nd floor. Decent room for price. Terrible pillows, but the worst part was how incredibly hot it was when I walked in my room. Granted, it's November, but it was unbearably hot w no way to turn cool air on. Wow. Pleasantly surprised for a motel 6. Came up with my mom for Made In The Shade and ALL hotels were sold out. We usually stay at The Drury Inn or a nicer hotel in town. Got stuck at motel 6 and we were all prepared with our own pillows and blankets. Much to our surprise it was completely remodeled and was SUPER CLEAN! Nice wood floors, comfy beds & cute decor! Looks like a train car inside. Kudos to the amazing staff as well. I would definitely stay here again and save A TON of money. read more

Worst stay ever! First of all I wasn't told there was construction going on or that the pool was closed. Got to our room only to find the toilet clogged and a dirty towel. The next morning we had to wait for hot water. The air conditioning vent leaked. Then to top it off we paid for wifi but weren't told you had to buy it for each device. read more

I have personal issues with the hotel, but that won't affect my honest opinion. The rooms are clean, the bathtub is spacious and the t.v.is big enough to enjoy. The needs are soft and they accept pets. Low weekly rates and near several restaurants. Not bad. read more

We stayed at Motel 6 Flagstaff, Az on E. Lucky Ln, at the end of August for the new semester 2015 at NAU. We stayed at this one mostly because it was closer to the Cracker Barrel. We travel with doggies so Motel 6 is the BEST! Jennifer was the person we mostly dealt with during our stay, SHE IS THE REASON WHY WE ARE GOING BACK to Lucky Ln. There is one closer to the University but because of HER we are going back this Sept/Oct. 2015. She was very caring, was sincere and VERY HELPFUL we had 2 room and she made it possible for us to be next to each other. Room smelled clean. Floor a little dirty (evidenced by dirt on white socks). Overhead air conditioner dripped a little water on floor near the sink. For being dog friendly, the room was remarkably clean. Price was good for what it was. Everything worked in the room. read more

I truly have nothing bad to say about this Motel 6. In fact, this was the cleanest motel 6 I have ever stayed at over the years. Friendly check in, nice clean room with everything in working order and good condition, and ample parking directly in front of my room. All linens were clean with not one stain, floors mopped clean, and nice ambient temperature inside without any odors. Being pet friendly made my stay even better. The only thing that was more annoying than anything was the fact that the train passed very close to the motel and you could hear that during the night. Nothing to miss any sleep over though. There was not a single bug to be found. No loud or sketchy people either. Very satisfied! read more

Motel 6 on Butler in Flagstaff AZ is the 1 and only time I will stay here or any Motel 6. They made an attempt to update which was a good try BUT I would guess by the small updates they obviously busted the budget. We travel a lot and I never carry certain personal items such as Kleenex, hair dryer, shampoo and conditioner. This is the first time in probably 10 years where the hotel offered NOTHING literally NOTHING! When I called the desk... thinking there was a mistake, the response was "You have to buy shampoo/conditioner in the vending machine" REALLY... you can't spare a half ounce of shampoo!?! As for borrowing a hair dryer I was waiting for the front desk to ask me to sign over my 1st born life rights. Yeah, this is what I experienced. Save your money $$$ read more

I was reading through the reviews and have to say, some seem to be exaggerating. Traveling from California to Tennessee for the third time and I must admit that i am VERY impressed with this motel 6. I called to make a reservation around 9pm, and checked in at midnight. Paid $49 plus tax ($55 total) for a double bed, 2 adults, 2 kids. The guy at the front desk was very helpful, even let us pick our room. There was plenty of parking, and no druggies to be seen ( like the other reviews say) . Rooms are modern and up to date, unlike other Motel 6's that i have stayed at. Linen was fresh, and there was more than enough clean towels. And yes it's true; neither a blow dryer or shampoo was provided, but c'mon.. the price of this establishment is close to half of what other nearby hotels are charging. Not a fan of the entire Motel 6 chain, but i would definitely stay at the Flagstaff location again. read more

This was THE worst stay I have ever had in my 60 years on this earth! The customer service was friendly and the atmosphere was deceiving! Everything looks modern and nice, then you get in the room and crawl into the bed and the mattress was so hard it was like a board with springs that had no give at all! We were itchy all nite and got no rest. The worst part is the price was $70. for virtually nothing. Wi-fi was extra and there were no extras in the room, like a hair dryer, which I counted on them having. Beware of this one, we found that for $39 more we got free hair dryer, jacuzzi, wi-fi and a full serve breakfast at Hampton Inn and Suites. read more

This is as good as it will get from a budget hotel. I have stayed here several times, and each time has been great. Room and bathroom are really CLEAN and NEAT!!!! Beds are clean too. Front office staff has been helpful and courteous. Great location about 1/4 mile from the I-40, and has several restaurants within walking distance. Safe area. I have only good things to say about this Motel. I will definitely make plans to stay here again when I return to Flagstaff. Very happy with them. read more

The worst motel 6 ever. First off they are doing renovations and only half of the motel is done. That will give you an idea of the how bad the side is that is not done. The major complaint I had was that the AC wasn't working. It was hot on the room. There were bugs in the bathtub. The Carpet was filthy seeing apparent dirt spots. The noise from the neighboring rooms was too much and every time someone came walking by our room, it rattled and I felt the whole second level was going to crash to the first level. The service was pretty bad. I called to ask a few questions and got hung up on. When I complained about the AC the front agent did nothing. There were no ice machines(even if there were, I would not use it considering the condition of the motel) now I know it's not a hilton but from what I paid for it, I expect things be clean and in working condition. We did not get any of that. I chose this motel because of its convenience to the freeway and the fact they allow pets. If staying in Flagstaff, I suggest trying another motel and paying the extra money. read more

My last minute booking was made with obvious reservations due to the brand image associated with the name motel 6. I entered the room and to my surprise it smelled good and looked recently renovated. I'm happy to report no sightings of roaches. Unfortunately, that's where the hope for a positive experience stops. As I scanned the bed, the cover was extremely wrinkled, but that did not bother me nearly as much as the hairs found on my pillow cases from the previous patron of the room. That really made me wonder, what else wasn't cleaned thoroughly. Unfortunately that question was answered when nature called and reminents from the previous patron were visible on the bottom of the proverbial porcelien throne. The cherry on the hair and fecal filled sunday was the outdated and underpowered air conditioning that had me sweating the whole night. Lack of basic toiletries like shampoo and conditioner didn't bother me as I would for no reason take a shower in their facilities due to the thought of what wierd fungal infection I would contract. For the price that I paid to stay at this motel 6, I have had incredible experiences at top quality hotels in Las vegas. Which begs the question, why would anyone stay here and pay a premium price for a motel not even a full step above a roach motel. My advice, stick to your reputation of being an hourly rate hotel and stop pretending to be in the same league as the best western, or at least stop charging like it. Scary people hanging around, disgusting rooms (stinky and filthy). I had to change rooms because the non-smoking room they gave me first was rank with cigarette, and some other, nasty stench. The second room was not much different. Pool closed. One iron for entire motel (and it is really large). I know motel 6 is cheap, but I have stayed in many of them and none were so filthy & creepy like this. read more

Yes the room was cheap,but it's a dive, we were disgusted with the room, old q-tips and kleenex and broken ash tray under the bed. NO FREE INTERNET, NO COFFEE IN THE ROOM! BARE BONES, WE DIDN"T EVEN RATE A BAR OF SOAP!!! Now I've stayed in cheap motel 6;s before and I have to travel through Flag a LOT but I will never stay in this hotel with the mildew in the shower, spots all over the carpet and the heater only worked IF you closed the bathroom door which meant no heat in the shower stall, for lack of a better term, there isn't even a shower curtain. When we woke up to leave yesterday morning we had dead cockroaches in the bathroom. A one star is too much of a rating for them. The hotel in Butte, Motel 6 Rocker is a bare bones, no frills hotel just like this one but it's clean and the property is well maintained. I had to fumigate my luggage and take everything out and repack it before we could get on the road so that I didn't bring the creatures with me.
