Not sure I understand the interstellar reference but let's go with it. The bar is rather dark inside so maybe it's meant to evoke the galaxy? Originally I tried this bar only because El Rio was closed next door. Over the past year, I've popped by a handful of times because their huge back patio is a big plus on a warm balmy evening. Besides, their signature cocktails have a certain insouciance that I like. Like, for example, the $12 That Coffee Thing, one of their winter specials, is a kicky mix of vodka, cold brew, coffee liqueur, and house vegan Irish cream (photo: https://yelp.to/xANvuPj4yX). That was a delicious treat, a sweetly potent variation on an Irish coffee that allowed this Nip a nip when the weather was quite nippy. I've also had their $14 Espresso Martini (photo: https://yelp.to/eHngvTG_yQ). While the foam topping has been a variable element, the drink was very chilled and rarin' to go. Just yesterday, I tried one of their house creations, the $14 Two Days & Two Nights, a tantalizing tiki-derived delight of Bacardi and Oaxacan rums, brandy, corn liqueur, guanabana, pumpkin seed orgeat, and lemon (photo: https://yelp.to/ke9PCMV7Gc). Thanks to my excellent bartender Felix for introducing me to it. I still haven't figured out where the mothership was, but I was ready to dock my cruiser. I don't know what that means. COCKTAILS - 4 stars...signature cocktails have true 'tude here AMBIANCE - 4 stars...darkly lit but the back patio is spacious and usually not full SERVICE - 4 .5 stars..,Felix has been great TOTAL - 4 stars....seriously, where is the mothership? During our first time exploring Bernal Heights, we stopped into Mothership to imbibe. Given the bizarre August misty weather outside, stepping inside Mothership provided an instant reprieve. The atmosphere is super fun inside, with a lot of greenery/plants and a surprisingly large back patio. I ordered the Opal while my partner ordered the Two Days & Two Nights. The Opal was a nicely spirit forward drink that had a subtle hint of cinnamon that paired well with the whisky and brandy flavors. The Two Days & Two Nights was our favorite of the two, with a lot of spirit flavors coming together that were nicely balanced with the guanabana, pumpkin seed orgeat, and lemon, that mellowed the drink out and added layers of complexity. Sadly, we weren't able to stay for a second round but loved the low-key vibes of this place.

The vibes here are perfect. It's more upbeat indoors, but if you're looking for something more chill, there is an outdoor patio to enjoy the drinks and be by a heater! Which is essential in SF Although it wasn't crazy packed, the bartenders were attentive and offered quick service. The drink menu could use some creativity, but overall, very chill vibes for a Saturday night. The decor is vibey and neon-like which is a must for a Saturday night drink.

I tried the GOLDEN HOUR cocktail, comprising tequila, serrano-infused vermouth, pineapple liqueur, lime, bitters, and tajin, and it was truly delicious! Inside the bar, you'll find a lively dance floor, and towards the back, there's an outdoor seating area thoughtfully equipped with heaters.

Mothership has nailed the bar experience. Their cocktail list is quality, with ingredients I rarely see in a more relaxed environment, prepared by fun and friendly bar tenders who are super personable; I had a great conversation with Stanley as well as the bartender who rides one of the coolest pink Cruiser motorcycles I've seen (didn't get his name). The decor is super unique, with intriguing lighting elements; you'll find fun photo opportunities inside and out. As you enter you'll see immediately to your left a waterless fish tank surrounded by greenery, but check out what's inside of it! At the center of the bar, peep the interesting laser-like light show while you choose from their cool cocktail menu or grab a beer. As you head outside, you'll be tempted to stop and peep the big screen and laser show... if you stop, there is seating there too! But outside there is a big, spacious patio with standing tables and sitting areas which is great for a group. Inside and out, Mothership bar is styled well. It's comfy, fun, and clean.

Really cute queer bar next to el Rio. Great back patio with lots of seating and light. Also, you can't beat the five dollar happy hour margarita deal.

Was pretty empty on a Tuesday evening but still great vibes. I love the ambiance of this bar- the lights and music transport you away! Great place to chill and catch up with friends. There is also an outdoor patio to sit outside to enjoy the weather. Tried their cold brew and egg nog seasonal drinks. Delicious! Try them out :)

Walked in on Thursday night around 6:30 PM. No crowd, so grabbed a seat at the bar. Got there in time for happy hour which was 5-7pm Drinks: Twin Palms - light, acidic, refreshing and a great way to start off the night. Cocktail was pretty balanced, not very boozy and enjoyable overall. Dinner Theater - sweet, boozy and spirit forward. Not quite what I was expecting, was hoping for a more savory martini like cocktail. Wouldn't order this one again. But if you get two it comes with a bag of chips. Atmosphere: The lighting and vibe of mothership is awesome, fun multicolored lightbulb change throughout the evening. Beautiful back patio with heat lamps. Dance floor in the back of the bar. Later in the evening live DJ as well. Service was great, friendly bartenders, engaging and attentive. Even gave us the clutch tip to check out the diorama up front and gave us a 5min happy hours ending warning. Definitely want to come back to check out the DJ's and dance. Would try some other drinks on the cocktail menu as well.

We came here for a drink before going out clubbing. This is less than a mile away (about 10 minute walk) from Arena SF. I really liked the ambiance outside on the patio. People were spending their Saturday night there as well as pre-gaming before going out. Worth the visit. I wish the music was better as they were just playing house music, but that depends on the DJ. Drinks ordered: Pata Pata: tequila, basil eau du vie, lime, grapefruit. 3/5 Ten Forward: vodka, brucato, lemon, fennel, passionfruit, pea flower. 4/5. I think the brucato liquor added the black color gradient on top, which was cool.

Great cocktails and nice vibes During happy hour ($1 off during weekdays), the value was great. They use nice rums and liquors ($30-$40 bottles) and were well-balanced. I especially liked the one with the Sichuan salt - nice and numbing - great flavor! Only downside is the ambiance feels a little lacking - not a ton to see during a weekday (very slow). Service was helpful and great.

    Jessica O.

I've been to Mothership multiple times now, and both times I've been here, I've loved the vibes. I like that it is not as crowded of a bar, so you can always grab seating in their spacious back patio. They also have pretty good music playing so you can dance if you want. Their décor and main bar area are really nice and beautiful - I feel like I've been abducted by boujee aliens. Drinks are not cheap, but the ambiance is what you're paying for. Good bartenders and security staff, it's always been a good time here!

So glad we found this place and absolutely loved the vibe and ambiance. Typical dark bar but has an outdoor space which was perfect with todays beautiful weather in the city. We got a $1 off for their happy hour on their classic house cocktails. Bar tender was so nice and friendly - he was there all day and then getting ready to dj all nite! Husband has the knee deep which had his favorite ancho chili and I by recommendation from the bartender had the ten forward. Loved it - very deceptive - can barely taste the alcohol but left me so buzzed. It was so good that I had two before heading out to dinner. They do not have food but husband was able to score some corn nuts we will return for sure!!!

I am writing this review thoughtfully and with humility…read more I visited this establishment as a paying customer, a lifelong San Francisco native, and someone who has lived and served in the Bayview-Hunters Point community my entire life. I came in good faith to support a Black-owned business during the 49ers game with my family and community. Unfortunately, before my family arrived, I was treated dismissively. Basic questions about wine pricing were avoided, pricing was inconsistent between servers, and transparency was lacking. Food quality and portions were also inconsistent compared to others at my own table ordering the same items. What saddened me most was the noticeable shift in attitude once my Samoan family arrived. Service suddenly became attentive and respectful. No customer should ever feel that respect is conditional. I returned the following day to address this privately and respectfully. The owner chose not to speak with me and instead directed employees to handle the matter. That was deeply disappointing. I advocate for unity in our community. We are a thriving but still underserved area, facing real disparities and in need of resources and opportunity. Businesses operating here should uplift people, not dismiss them--especially those they do not know. This experience left me feeling sad, not angry. Sad that in a community that needs healing and solidarity, discrimination and lack of class still show up in spaces meant to bring people together. I hope this review encourages reflection, accountability, and better treatment of all customers--because respect should never be selective.

It's the only reason I come to 7 Mile House during Asian History Month that aims for Filipino fun. My specialty drink: Ube Colada (non-alcoholic). I want to try the Lambanóg, but it's few years late and I wouldn't mind since I prefer any drink that's zero proof. This creamy purple smoothie is so refreshing, I wouldn't mind getting a brain freeze. Main course? I eat the fries first since they're fresh and chewy. Wish I stick around for an appetizer or a salad; but given that there's several people dining indoors while few of us outdoors, I'll have to pass. Before I walk a couple of blocks toward 7 Mile House, I noticed the gas prices for both gas stations are just as high as near my neighborhood. I'll be wondering how long will a famous family run restaurant can go an extra mile before it runs out of steam. The lumpia was good but they mixed it so it's a gamble if you got chicken or pork, and I wish they separated it out so we all get an equal share of each. The sizzling pork adobo is good but could be better. The rice is a bit overcooked. Service is very slow - it's fine given all the sports playing, but it is quite inefficient. Definitely plan a lot of time here, and a very long waitlist if you don't make a reservation.

Standard beer and well drinks, it's a neat dive bar with an alternative/punk feel. Bartenders were quick and attentive as well as friendly.
