He had my bike for 17 months due to a small accident that I had. Every time I had called to find out what was going on he was like a stuttering Idiot. I thought that he was a Stand up guy so I allowed him to get paid upfront in full. He got paid over $6000 from the insurance company and finally when I had enough and I went and pulled my bike out not even 1 quarter of the work was done. He basically committed Insurance fraud. Everytime I went by there people were outside looking for him for there bikes. He was either down the block in a bar or hiding iside with the doors locked, real Scumbag moves.. I hear that he is going broke and will be out of business very soon. I actually had to go and file complaints with the Attorney Generals Office and thank God they are looking to go after him for Insurance Fraud. Delivered my unrestored original 1969 corvette for three simple jobs. 1) clutch replacement 2)…read moredistributor recurve 3) carburetor tuning. Was invoiced by Mark Spencer for over 15 hours for clutch replacement which is 5 times the book time. Immediately (while leaving the shop) the clutch release bearing was squealing, linkage was maladjusted, and obvious odor of clutch material. Owner destroyed an original distributor during recurving, which was restored and blueprinted 2 weeks prior. Mark was aware. Also Terminally damaged a valuable original distributor cap, and fried the original Delco B-R 270 ignition coil. Immediately leaving shop, car would not accelerate past 4500 RPM. Mark was made aware. Carburetor on car was original professionally rebuilt 7029207 Quadrajet. Mark said he made adjustments, and stated whoever rebuilt carb doesn't know anything about quadrajet carburetor. A simple google search of "Lars Quadrajet" proves otherwise. Car performed much worse than initially delivered. Update: Car was brought to a reputable mechanic because Mark was refusing phone calls and emails. It was discovered the clutch release bearing was incorrectly installed on the clutch fork, pilot bushing was incorrectly installed. Flywheel was destroyed by heat cracks. Total time new reputable shop took to for clutch replacement was 3.7 hours. Mark billed 15 hours. Distributor and carburetor was mailed to CA for second opinion. It was determined while Mark attempted to recurve distributor, the breakerless system was fried, resulting in excessive current. Therefore, fried the module, destroyed original distributor cap related to arcing, and made the original coil unusable. While in possession of Spencer Cycle the steering wheel locking plate was broken, half shaft bolts were not torqued to spec (bolt was missing and others hand tight). Mark made one attempt to revisit the clutch issue. When he was moving the car in the shop he out loud shouted "the Linkage adjustment is F*cked up, Fredo (shop mechanic at Spencer Cycle) has no idea what he is doing". While on lift Mark sprayed lubricating oil as if that "adjusts linkage". Also he observed the loud squealing of the release bearing. Picked up the car the following day and all problems persisted. My father was with me as witness. As mentioned earlier, another shop this week performed a new clutch replacement and attached are photos of the flywheel and bushing. Important to note: he does not carry Shop insurance Over $6000 in vehicle damage to the car while in possession of Spencer Cycle Shop. Mark is made aware of everything. Never offered to cover the cost of damages he directly caused himself.

BUYER BEWARE -- MY EXPERIENCE WITH BELLMORE HARLEY-DAVIDSON…read more I strongly recommend that anyone considering purchasing a motorcycle from Bellmore Harley-Davidson read this before signing anything. My experience with salesman Tony was extremely disappointing. During the sales process, I was told that several items--including the GPS, warranty, service, and alarm--were included in the deal. I relied on those representations when agreeing to the purchase. After the deal was completed, I discovered that $1,850 in additional charges for those items had been added to my loan. That is not a minor misunderstanding. That is a significant amount of money, and it completely changed the financial terms of the deal I believed I had agreed to. I immediately challenged the charges and demanded that the situation be corrected. To their credit, the finance manager ultimately reimbursed me the full $1,850 in cash, and I have a text confirmation documenting that reimbursement. But here's the problem: I should never have had to fight to get that money back in the first place. A motorcycle dealership should operate on transparency and trust. If a salesperson tells a customer something is included in the purchase price, the customer should be able to rely on that statement--not discover after the paperwork is signed that thousands of dollars have been added to the financing. The fact that I ultimately received my $1,850 back does not erase the experience or the complete lack of confidence it created in the transaction. My advice: get EVERY promise in writing, scrutinize every line of the purchase agreement and financing documents, and do not assume that anything a salesperson tells you is actually included unless you can see it in writing. I walked into Bellmore Harley-Davidson expecting to buy a motorcycle and trust the people selling it to me. I walked away feeling like I had to fight to make sure I wasn't charged for things I was told were already included. Tony and Bellmore Harley-Davidson: this is not how you earn a customer's trust--or their repeat business. Five stars? Absolutely not. My experience: 1/5.

Left my bike with Carlos in march of 2016, after all was said and done I received my bike in April…read moreof 2017. Over a year later! Granted, I needed a top end rebuild of my 81 Honda, but every time I called for an update it seems they were "waiting for a bench to open up". I was never given a courtesy phone call like he promised, I always had to call to find out information on my bike. When I finally got the call that my bike was finished I had my driver come by to receive the bike, after giving my driver the bike with no gas tank, seat, or battery Carlos claimed that he didn't own the shop and quickly disappeared. When I received the bike it had new rust spots on the brand new muffler, the tank was sun bleached, and there's was standing water inside all of my turn signals, tail light and headlight. It would appear that it was kept outside with no cover for the duration of its 1 year residence at Brooklyn Motor Works. After more careful inspection. Of the bike I found that the oil in the crankcase had water in it, the carbs were not put on the bike correctly, my fork seals had deteriorated from sitting outside for a year, the new top end they installed was missing some bolts( can chain tension bolt, and tachometer set screw), and the "electrical wiring " that they had charged me for had just not been done. So $2300 later I have a bike that I can't ride, and can't sell until I fix all the damage cause by this shops negligence. Carlos offered to take the bike back and fix some of the problems but at this point I wouldn't trust this shop with anything. I feel like a sucker since I paid in advance, I would ask for a partial refund but it would probably take them 8 months to pay.
