Kent is the man!! In November my apartment had burned down with my Rebel 500 in the garage. I took it him to see if there had been any damages for insurance reasons. He was quick, always available, and the service was incredible. After a couple of weeks of back and forth with insurance, he had a brand new looking bike for me. You can tell he took extra care to make sure it was spotless and in prime condition. I no longer live in SF and I STILL would take my bike to him for any moto needs I have. Thank you Kent!

I will no longer go to any other shops other than Kent at Moto Garage, he definitely takes the time to check out your bike and goes out of his way to check out other issues as well. Very fast and reliable for a one man team! I recommend going here from tire changes to mechanical issues Kent will take care of you! He changed my oil pan after ridemotopia over torqued down the drain bolt and stripped the oil pan. Will definitely come back here for any other issues!!

Ken helped me mount my wheels for my bmw s1000rr. Prior to him switching the tires, I took off my wheels at home and brought them to Moto garage. Ken was quick, reliable and punctual about his work. I think he did an awesome job. I'm definitely coming back.

1Motiv's services are not cheap BUT worth every penny and then some!…read moreI'm a relatively new rider that bought a brand new 2021 Indian Scout. Customizing your ride is a big part of the cruiser lifestyle and I have been committed to doing as much I could on my own (following Youtube instructional videos). Some jobs are just too big to roll the dice on your own. I wanted to install custom mini-ape hanger handle bars. I knew at the very least these would involve ergonomics and bike performance. There was no way I was going to attempt this on my own. I left 1Motiv's owner Lee a detailed voicemail. A day later he contacted me from a motorcycle racing event back east. We scheduled his consultation visit and on the day Lee showed up with his white van and his own folding work tent. His van was also packed with almost any tool he needed. Lee's consultation appointment was a lot of fun and in the long run he saved me a lot of money and regret. After test fitting the 10" mini-ape hangers I bought he made me realize that I actually wanted taller bars. I could've lived with the bars I had but I would always know that I would have settled for less. In addition I realized I would need a longer clutch cable. Fast forward a month or so and I've got the custom clutch cable and exchanged the handle bars. Lee hand-cut and spliced every single wire in my bike's electric harness and then took those wires and pulled them through the handle-bars. The wires were totally protected, my controls and buttons all work properly, and I am constantly getting compliments on how clean the job was done. A lot of people assume the dealership did it. Then Lee saw that I had new minimalist LED front turn signals which I would've installed myself (as I had done the rear signals) but he insisted on upgrading those, and installing my new shifter/brake pegs, and then he even readjusted my headlight and it was so much better than how the dealer had set it up. I had also ordered custom seats from Corbin, and something was off with the seat's lock when the seat was delivered to me. A component broke and when I reached out to Corbin multiple times they wouldn't help me. Lee came back another day and did such an amazing repair job that it's almost impossible to tell something was wrong. He fixed the locking mechanism, and I now have the perfect saddle. We have plans to do some other mods to my bike this year. I'm really looking forward to our next session. Lee will not only inspect and warn you about stuff to look out for, he will also tell you exactly what he's doing, how any part of the motorcycle is supposed to work, and how to do maintenance and upgrades yourself. The bottom line is Lee loves motorcycles and he will treat your bike as if it was his own.

My dog was still in the stroller, and I asked multiple times whether I should remove her. I was concerned about the weight on the tires and bearings while he was servicing it, and my dog was visibly uncomfortable with him lifting the stroller while she was inside. He picked up the stroller several times by the front wheel, which seemed awkward at the time. As soon as I left, I realized the front swivel wheel was no longer functioning properly. It now defaults to facing backwards (180°), and the tire rubs against the swivel with every turn. This made it extremely difficult to get my dog home, especially because she has mobility issues. The stroller is not a luxury item for us -- it's something I rely on every single day for my dog, groceries, laundry, and basic errands. When I told my son what happened, he mentioned that he had a similar experience at the same shop a couple of weeks ago. He and a friend brought in a bike with a brake issue. The shop offered to help and didn't charge them, but whatever was done made the bike worse. Sending a kid out with a bike in worse condition than it came in is a safety issue, especially since my son recently had a serious fall due to a mechanical problem. I understand that Spokeasy didn't charge us for these services, but free work still needs to be safe and competent. Unfortunately, that wasn't the case here. For these reasons, I can only give Spokeasy one star.

He was very friendly, yet professional. Met him in the parking lot near Lake Merced and the Zoo. When we arrived, he already had the motorcycles unloaded from the trailer and waiting. In our case, my friend and I booked a lesson for just the two of us. Since she is all of 5'2" on a good day, Jonathan selected the low-rider Honda rebel for her. Since I am quite tall, I was given a tall, rough and ready dirt bike (believe it was a suzuki). Both bikes were in good shape. Over the course of the two days, we took two 2-hour classes back to back. Neither of us had any prior experience. By the end of the second class, we had learned to properly mount and start the bikes, shift up and down from 1-3 gear, perform turns to the left and right through a series of traffic cones. I am excited for my next lesson - which happens to be scheduled for today! Highly recommend!

The smaller the bike the easier it is to do this test. I am an experience rider, more than 10 years, but relocating from Canada to California, DMV requires me to redo all of my tests. I have my own motorcycle, but I repeat my self, go for a smaller bike, you will have all the time in the world to show off on your own bike. Bay Rider's Group is renting a small Nighthawk 250cc, it is perfect for the test. Yes you will look like a giant on it, but the circle on the circuit will look big on that bike.
