    Wade checking my tire
    Steve F.

Love this place! I spend a lot of time in the Bayview, one of the last industrial holdouts in SF. The space was by the water and airy. I scheduled a time to meet with Wade, the tire guy, for a repair. He was there waiting in hard moto boots, and he got my fix done promptly. His shop was full of great memorabilia, and he even pumped up my car tires as well. Definitely recommended.

A+. This is my 2nd time coming to the MotoTireGuy shop in San Francisco. I think they have great prices. I ordered my tires via their Revzilla link on their page. My tires were shipped directly to them. When they arrived I got an appointment the same day they were delivered. WADE took care of me with quality work & good conversation. It was ride-in service for my 2019 BMW 1250 GS, which cost me $150 via Venmo.

    Big clean workspace!

AMAZING SERVICE THAT SAVES YOU MONEY! Order your tires online, send them to Rob, schedule an appointment, ride down, learn a bunch, pay the man, ride home happy! You can't go wrong for the money, $112 for front and rear! Rob is extremely professional, responsive, chill and knowledgeable. He operates out of a big warehouse space, which is extremely clean and organized. While he does the work, Rob walks you through what he is doing and gives you advice (optimal air pressure / brake fluid transparency).

Went to the MotoTireGuy to swap out my tires and paid $58 for Carry-In Tire Install/Balance × 2.0 and $3 to dispose 2 tires. I work on my own bike because I've had terrible experiences with shops and careless mechanics. In this case, I did not have the necessary equipment to swap tires and wanted a professional with proper tools to make sure I don't damage the rims. I went to Robbie on a friend's recommendation and the 5 star yelp reviews. I thought my very well cared for rims with no scratches or nicks would be safe with Robbie. Robbie was polite but have a very condescending tone. Anyway not many words were exchanged and Robbie proceeded to change out the tires. No wanting to bother him while he works, I sat at the waiting are. Robbie is fast. The whole process took only 20min. I got a pair of greasy rims back with weight balancers that don't match. Not very cool for rims I love. Unfortunately I spotted couple of deep nicks just below the air valve stem as I loaded the rims back in the car. After sharing my discovery, Robbie's feedback was he can't imagine how he would have caused it as he wouldn't have to touch that area. My personal deduction is the air chuck probably caused the nicks. Anyway what's done is done, I now have to go through the trouble of finding touchup paint which will cost me another $50 dollars. Lesson learned: I would tell anyone who just wanted tires changed on a pair of old rims to maybe go to Robbie (the shop is a little out of the way). I would also do a pre-inspection with the mechanic on the condition of the rims before the work is done. This way, there will be no disagreement who caused the damage if it happens. Good luck.

Thanks for fitting me in. Excellent work Robbie

Robbie is a great guy to work with. He fit me in last minute. Great work and very reasonable prices. Super convenient that you can ship your tires directly to him. No tires on hand, so preorder

HIGHLY RECOMMENDED called him and was able to fit me in same day! Rob did a great job and not to mention fast. Will definitely be my new go to when it comes to getting new shoes installed on my R6. Thanks Rob! Tip: order your tires and get it shipped to his shop so you don't have to carry your tires!

    Nice shop and good service

Got my tires shipped here per instructions on website. Scheduled an appointment once they arrived. Was told it would take an hour for both tires and I was in and out in 45 minutes. The whole process was easy and the price was great. Got some tips on tire pressure and even got my chain lubed for free.

    New shoes fit just right!

Amazing service from Robbie. Hands down best customer service I've ever had in SF Bay Area. His extensive knowledge of motorcycles and their mechanics just shows why he is well known amongst motorcycle enthusiasts. He quickly replaced my tires and simultaneously inspected my bike, pointed out some things I should take care of sooner rather than later, and he didn't even have to. He could have easily just done the work I was going to pay for and call it that. But he made the extra effort to inform me of some issues and point me in the right direction to get them taken care of. I shall be using his expertise in the future 100%

ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE! STAY AWAY! First of all the to get to the shop you have to drive through the hood where cars are broken into and homeless people walk around everywhere! Second, the guy that was working there was talking non stop and this guy was talking more than he was working! While he was working he was talking so much that he must have lost focus of changing my tire. Because when he was done he left a HUGE Nick on my rim and even more spots all around. Lastly, I still have tread life on my old tire and wanted to use it after the new tire HE EVEN GOUGED PART OF MY OLD TIRE!! So now I may not even be always to use my old tire without any sort of risk!! DONT GO STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE UNLESS YOU WANT A MESSED UP RIM!

Since I was already there, I went ahead with the tires they had available. About 20 minutes after leaving, I told my husband what happened and he said I should have waited to get the same set of Bridgestone tires. I had no idea, since I'm not knowledgeable about tires. I immediately called Johnny back and asked if I could speak to a manager to see if they could make an exception since I had just left the shop. He told me that once the tires leave the shop, they are considered used--even though they sell used tires--and that the only option would be to purchase a new set. That would have cost me about $700 more, on top of the $300 I had already spent, totaling around $1,000. I was disappointed they couldn't make any adjustment, especially since no guidance or recommendations were provided upfront--Johnny only mentioned that Bridgestone wasn't in stock. These options weren't discussed when I called the day before either. As a customer, I relied on their expertise, and I feel important information that could have helped me make a better decision was missing. Because of that, the overall experience was disappointing, especially after my husband had left a good review.

Don't go unless you're planning on waiting 5 to 6 hours or more for an oil change. Because of my concern with the tire I was in a scramble to find a place and I drive by wheel works everyday to go to work. The evening before I had called and asked if they had my tire in stock, which they said they did, so I let them know I'd come in the morning. A technician looked at my car and told me my tire was fine and the damage was just cosmetic and he did not recommend changing the tire. So I left thinking my tire was fine. A few days later I looked at my tire again and saw exposed wire, so I called back to let them know I think the technician was wrong. The person I spoke to on the phone, Tim, was extremely rude. I asked him if they had my tire in stock for replacement (again) and he said no. I asked why I had been told they did and he said "whoever you spoke to falsified that", it was literally Tim who I spoke to when I first called. All in all the service was very unprofessional, careless, and could've been a major safety issue. I was able to get my tire changed at a locally owned shop. I highly recommend staying away from chain shops and supporting smaller businesses.
