I've been a fan of MotoMedi since living in Lubbock and regularly come by for a quick bite when I'm…read morein town visiting my girlfriend. Today's meal for myself was especially great. MotoMedi is best described as a more locally owned CAVA. Big bowl of whatever you want. I'm not a CAVA enjoyer, but I really like MotoMedi. Maybe it's just how much fresher it tastes here. Sometimes I overdo it and put way too much crap in my bowl, but today was not that day: Rice, Grilled Chicken, Roasted Veggies, Pickled Onions, Pickled Cabbage, and their Honey Aleppo sauce. All the ingredients tasted fresh, and I devoured it with no regard for human life. The lady who served me was super helpful in making sure I got exactly what my girlfriend wanted as she sent me a text of what to do. They also were playing some bumping music inside. Though I wish it was closer to campus, MotoMedi is a great lunch spot that's worth the drive to. Just don't overdo it. RIYL: SlopBowl™

Some of the best falafel I've had, hands down--crispy on the outside, soft and herby on the inside. The dips are outstanding (you can tell they're made with care), and I loved the roasted veggies: cauliflower, Brussels sprouts, sweet potatoes... all perfectly seasoned and full of flavor. Add in the pickled veggies for that tangy punch and suddenly you've built a bowl that feels both indulgent and nourishing. One of my favorite little details? The "salt and pepper" shakers aren't actually salt and pepper--they're filled with spices like sumac and other Middle Eastern seasonings. Such a thoughtful touch, and it completely elevates the meal. You're seasoning with flavor, not just salt. Moto Medi is also incredibly vegan-friendly, which I truly appreciate. Everything is clearly customizable, easy to navigate, and makes eating plant-based feel exciting instead of limiting. The organic tea bar is another big win--clean, refreshing options that pair perfectly with the food. This is the kind of place that instantly becomes a regular spot. Fast, fresh, satisfying, and aligned with a health-forward lifestyle. I honestly wish Moto Medi was everywhere, because it's proof that "fast food" can still be intentional, delicious, and good for you. Love, love, love. If you're craving Mediterranean flavors with a modern, healthy twist--this place is a must.

Wowza - what an experience !…read more La Diosa is one of those places that immediately pulls you out of whatever mood you walked in with and drops you somewhere entirely different--in the best way. From the moment you step inside, it feels less like a restaurant and more like an old-world café, wine cellar, art gallery, and lounge all layered into one eclectic, soulful space. The interior is stunning and thoughtfully chaotic in a way that works: exposed beams, hanging lanterns and star lights, rich colors, Frida-inspired art, mismatched tables, velvet chairs, communal seating, tucked-away corners, and rooms that feel like they were meant for lingering conversations. Every turn gives you something new to look at, whether it's a massive art installation overhead, a wall of wine, or a cozy lounge setup that makes you want to settle in and stay awhile. Food-wise, tapas and paella are the stars here. This is the kind of menu that encourages sharing, ordering a few things, sipping wine, and letting the night unfold. The chalkboard sign lets you know what they're proud of--and it shows. Pair that with their wine selection and you're set. There's also live music on certain nights, which fits the space perfectly. After a certain hour it shifts into a 21+ vibe, and it truly feels like the place comes alive in the evening--dim lighting, music, conversation, and that intimate, almost transportive energy. La Diosa isn't rushed, flashy, or trying to be trendy. It's warm, artistic, and unapologetically itself. Come here when you want an experience, not just a meal. It's ideal for a date night, a long catch-up with friends, or anyone who appreciates atmosphere just as much as what's on the table.

Now to the food and beverage side. The menu offers wine only, which isn't ideal, but I understand that's a choice every owner has to make. The meatballs were clearly pre-made and then reheated in the Marsala sauce. They were overly salty, and the sauce itself lacked balance it leaned heavily acidic, almost vinegary, without the richness you'd expect. The "Barcelona" pizza was solid, but again, shortcuts were noticeable. The crust was clearly pre-made. I appreciated the heat, but overall the flavor profile was fairly flat.Best thing I had was freshly baked bread it was fresh and tasty. Overall, great service and atmosphere, but the food execution didn't quite live up to it.
