It's probably better to sell privately. I took my car to them a month ago and they gave me an…read moreestimate saying it was better than KBB value, but I couldn't sell to them immediately. One month later I took it back to them and they offered me 12% less even though there was less than 200 miles driven since the original offer! Their mechanic claimed there was a transmission leak, but he wasn't even familiar with my make of vehicle (Porsche). When I took it back to my mechanic to verify if there was a leak, he said there wasn't one and that in my particular year/model he had never seen a transmission leak! While the sales guy was accommodating and pleasant, the management who approves the buying amounts will try to rip you off. UPDATE - senior leadership from the Niello group just called me to make things right and was very open to my suggestions on how to improve their operations. I suspect future visitors will have a better experience. Changed from 1 star to 3!

I really felt it was a bait and switch kind of situation. After sitting there for 2 hrs they came back with the lowest possible price giving me a very made up sounding reason for it. The only positive thing I can say is their rep was nice and polite, but at the end of the day it was a waste of my time.

UPDATE: I sent the picture of the "tar" oil to the owner and to his credit he responded quickly and…read moreapologized. He said that it was indeed obvious that the oil wasn't changed, and acknowledged this was a "miss" by his mechanic. I appreciated this bc at the time I was contending that the oil hadn't been changed, I felt like the "bad guy" when his mechanic was telling us that he had changed it. So I appreciated the call. In any case, this could have been a real problem for me had I not done my own checking and changed the oil myself, and no doubt I would have just been out-of-luck with no recourse. So even if not attributable to malice in this case, stuff can fall through the cracks and I recommend that you do your own thorough due diligence and not necessarily just take everything that is said at face value. ORIGINAL: Be careful and you should buy here only if you know cars or if you have a good mechanic. I came here only because they happened to have a rare model that I was looking for. The owner represented that they had changed the oil after I expressly asked. I honestly didn't care if they did or not, I just wanted to know so I would know to do it. After a cursory check after some driving, it was obvious from the dipstick that the "mechanic" had not. I went back to the dealership to get them to do it. When I returned, the owner swore up and down that his "mechanic" changed the oil, and that he didn't want to ask him to change it again bc then he'd be "calling his mechanic a liar." I said I couldn't speak to whether the "mechanic" was a liar or not, but see can see from the photo what eventually came out when I changed it. So yea, man, your "mechanic" is indeed, a liar. The owner then offered to reimburse me if I went to go change it at Midas nearby. Not trusting a "quickie oil change" place either I asked instead if the owner would just pay me the cost of the oil and filter and I'd do it myself. So buyer beware. They have a decent selection of interesting cars, but you should assume, regardless of what they tell you, that they did not do any maintenance to the car. Unless you are physically watching them as they do it, and even then I'm not sure I would trust them. You will either have to check everything yourself, or take it to your trusted mechanic. The one thing that is good, is that the salespeople seemed like decent enough people, but definitely are not thorough or take proper care in what they are doing. For 90% of buyers who don't know anything about cars they can probably get away with their behavior. But I'd recommend that you only buy here if if you really know your cars and know exactly what to check.

We were assured the car was reliable and in good condition, but immediately after the purchase, it began having issues. In fact, the vehicle has been at an auto shop since the day we bought it, and after weeks of diagnostics, we were just informed that it needs a full engine replacement. The mechanic confirmed the engine is beyond repair, and we're being told that a full engine replacement is the only option. That is absolutely unacceptable for a vehicle we were assured was roadworthy. We trusted Mo from Drivetime Plaza to provide a car that was safe and dependable. Instead, we've ended up with a financial and emotional nightmare. This experience has shaken our confidence in the process and raised serious questions about the integrity of the vehicle inspection and sales process. I urge others to be extremely cautious when considering buying a car from this seller, and I strongly recommend that the business take responsibility for the condition of the vehicles they sell--especially when those vehicles are meant for young drivers who rely on them daily.
